His thumb rubbed over the call button again, just feeling the grooves there without actually pressing thee button down. Arcadia was in his sights and Emily’s number was primed and ready at his fingertip.

But he was hesitant. His heart yearned for her from the moment he left her side, and yet...

He’d been gone for so long... Could she still wish to be with him?

Flak swallowed finally, watching Arcadia grow as his ship sailed closer. He had to call now, now or never.

He pressed the button and put the device to his ear, waiting to hear the click of the receiver and that angelic voice.

He couldn’t stop his smile, heart pounding in excitement.

“It’s me... I’m home, Emily.”

Catching Up || Felicity & Emily

[ ♥ ] — It had been a few months since Emily quit her job at the bar and moved over to Arcadia. Although Felicity was happy for her friend and the new strides she had been taking in life, she did miss having her around to talk to. Work at the bar was so lonely these days, and even with all the customers that came through, the waitress often felt like she was the only one there.

So when she gets a little free time off of work, she decides to call Emily up and arrange a friendly visit, the two of them ultimately deciding to catch up at one of Arcadia’s local cafes. (Because it was not a proper catch up without delicious food, of course!)

Once the meeting day arrives, Felicity gets to the restaurant a bit earlier than intended. And as she sits, waiting for her friend and enjoying the tropical ambience of the Carosello Café, the blonde begins to wonder about all the things that could have happened with Emily since her move here. She was so excited to hear it all!

Ice Breakers || Julia & Emily

[ ♛ ] — When it came to workplace settings and relationships, it was of Julia’s firm opinion that the employer was the person that mattered most. They were the one you needed to kiss up to, to befriend and appeal to, so that you could form much needed connections, cultivate a reputation, and advance up the corporate ladder.

But that wasn’t to say that co-workers didn’t matter, either! Because they did. After all, the more they liked you, the better you would look to the people who mattered more.

So when the tailor’s shop closes for the day, Julia puts on her sweetest smile and approaches her co-worker, Emily. She hadn’t spoken with the woman much, on account of always rushing off to another job or appointment whenever her shift ended, but she had a little free time today, and figured she would make use of it.

“Oh, Emilyyyy~!” She singsongs as she nears the woman, “Do you have any plans for after this? If not, I figure we could go out for a post-work meal? Drinks, perhaps? I would loooove for the chance to get to know you better!”

Back Home II Haley & Emily

Settled in, Haley knew who the first person she needed to see was. It wasn’t at all a long trip, since she had made sure she lived in a house just a couple doors away from her sister’s.

It had been so long, and the two had only been communicating through letters for the past few years. It wasn’t surprising, given the friction between them before Haley had left for college.

But this time, she was here to make things right.

Nervousness creeping in, Haley knocked on the door. It’s just Em, Haley. There’s no way she’ll turn you away.

“Hey, Sis...” She gave a warm, hesitant smile as the door opened.

Just realized today is the day my hiatus is up, so hello, I am alive! I will be getting back to rest of my kiddos tomorrow! Thank you all for your patience and understanding ( apologies to everyone waiting for someone other than Emily, this muse is just making up for lost time and not letting anyone else have a turn LOL)!
