OKAY, I KNOW I'M LATE TO THE PARTY BUT
I'm moving tomorrow and I had boring adult shit to attend to before I could sit and watch the latest Nardo and Pals episode.
BUT OH MY FUCKSIFSLKFJLSJFLING GOD.
Finally, some fillers I can get behind. Because, let's face it, that last filler arcĀ was just a big clusterfuck of rushed bullshit. Meh. But, THIS. Now, this is good. I haven't read the Itachi Shinden novels yet for two reasons:
1. I was waiting for an English release so I could just buy them.
2. After I realized that, duh, it was going to take 5ever, I figured "eh, they're animating it anyway so I'll at least get to see an anime adaptation so it's not like I'll have to wait that long to find out what it's all about or whatever"
Anyway, yeah. Good start to the arc IMO. Loved the canon bit in the beginning although I like the manga translation better when Sasuke shuts down Sakura and Kakashi lol still good stuff. God, I fucking love that douche-bag. Those IT dreams were great too. Gaara's dream ripped my heart straight out my chest for a second time man seeing it animated just, awwww. And Boss ass bitch Temari was fun to see and what they did to Gaara in that made me lol. Kakuro with his Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann mecha beast thing was great. Kiba ordering everyone to own a dog lol, Shino caught a pokemon, It was all great.
But, little Itachi...oh my god. He's such a troubled soul. I can't wait to see what happens with this. Well, I mean, we kind of all know what's going to happen and more or less how it happens, but, ya know, the details man, the details. I want to see Itachi grow and I want to know his thoughts, I want to see interactions with Shisui and little Sasuke. I just want to see more of the Uchiha clan in general and how Itachi was growing up and how he was actually feeling and what he was thinking through all of this. Especially the night of the massacre and the day he comes back to konoha to check on Sasuke.
OH AND HOLY FRICKITY FRACK FUGAKU LAUGHING AND CODDLING HIS BOYS HAD ME LIKE WOAH. FUGAKU WITH A LOVING FATHERLY SIDE THAT ISN'T HIDDEN BEHIND A STOIC EXPRESSION WHAAAAT?
And Itachi contemplating the meaning of life and death at such a young age. Holy balls. Like, I knew he was a genius and everything and he was exposed to war at the ripe age of like 4 or 5 or whatever but still just wow. Pretty badass seeing him show those little snot stains what's up though. Should not have gone to Orochimaru for answers haha oh my god "There is no meaning of life unless it'sĀ eternal." Shut the fuck up Oro, you rusty screw.
Yeah, I'm so stoked for next week's episode. God, it feels so good to be excited for Naruto again. This is pretty much the only good thing in my life right now since everything is burning down around me. Naruto is my coping mechanism, so I'm so so so soooo fucking glad that the anime is getting good again so I can have something to look forward to.
