I have had enough!
I will not stand for these weight centric news years resolutions any longer!
I will not stand by while hoards of beautiful, strong women and men are bullied and coerced into feeling shitty about their weight and make impossible news years resolutions to try and “fix it”
Now don’t get me wrong, I believe everyone has a right to any decision they make about their body
If you wanna get twenty peircings, you get twenty piercings
If you wanna use birth control, then you can use birth control
If you wanna cover your body with a tattoo in the lyrics of Bohemian Rhapody, by all means, be my guest
But I just think that New Years resolutions have spent far too much time being all about losing weight and getting the “perfect body”
Your body is perfect and beautiful because it’s your body
It’s the first friend you ever had and it’s the last one that’ll be there in the end
It’s only job is to make sure that you keep going and it does it’s best
So I’ve made a list of health improving, mentally stabilizing New Years resolutions that do not revolve around “I need to lose 50 pounds” or “I just have to get all this weight off this year”
I would like to say that If you want to lose weight or gain weight because of a health issue or because you and your doctor agree it is what would benefit you physically, do not let me stand in your way but if you’re doing it because someone told you you’d look better if you just lost a few pounds or because you think you think that losing 20 pounds will finally make you happy, then hope you will please reconsider
We are all beautiful, unique humans
And our beauty is not defined by the size of our waist bands
New Years Resolutions that don’t focus on weight but do focus on mental and physical health
Read More, enrich your brain and feed your mind, reading also lowers stress levels
Eat more plant based things, you don’t have to go full vegetarian but eating less meat and more vegetables has been shown to make a huge difference in health
Sleep more, your body needs rest to fix itself and grow
Go see a therapist, pay homage to your mental health this year
Get a mammogram or cancer screening
Go get a regular check up this year
Get your teeth cleaned
Take up meditation
Start doing regular breathing exercises
Take up yoga or running or rock climbing, not because you think it’ll help you lose weight but because you’ve been wanting to try them
Meal prep so you’ll have more time to do hobbies
Take up cooking instead of eating out all the time
Volunteer at a 5k or an animal shelter or a retirement home
Adopt a shelter animal if you are financially secure enough to and fully ready to take on the responsibility of another life
Take a multivitamin
Reduce the amount you smoke or drink: special note on this one because I have had people who I’ve loved deal with smoking and drinking addiction and even though everyone tells you to just quit, decreasing the amount of your intake successfully is still progress and you should feel proud of that
Reduce your sugar intake because sugar has been shown to have several negative effects of the body, not just weight
Throw away all your fad diet books and weight loss shakes and diet suppresent lollipops seriously you don’t need those
Unfollow every negative person on your feed
Unplug for a weekend
Go hiking
Connect with old friends
Resolve something that’s been bothering you for a while
Pay a bill you’ve been avoiding
Drive slower and follow the speed limit
Give almond milk a chance
Buy something small you’ve been wanting for a long time
Write a letter to younger you that would have made all the difference for you to read
Start learning another language using Duolingo or Rosetta Stone
Explore other cultures through books and news articles
Go to more museums
Eat more fresh foods
Grow an herb garden
Deep clean your house top to bottom
Call someone you’ve been missing
Go out with friends you haven’t seen in a while
Make amends with someone you hurt or who hurt you
Brush your teeth twice a day
Wash your face twice a day
Wash your sheets more
Go for more walks in the sunshine
Take a self defense class
Learn a new art like painting or knitting or cross stitch
Go to a renisance fair
Try a new restaurant
Clean out your closet of clothes that don’t fit anymore, stop telling yourself that you can use them to motivate your self to lose weight
Start keeping a journal
Start a blog
Start a new relationship if you are ready and have been dating someone you think is worth it
Start a novel
Keep a calendar
Switch out your make up for cruelty free versions
Stop eating diet foods
Stop drinking diet drinks
Stop taking diet pills
Join a gym because you want to and you think you could find out something new about yourself not because you need to lose weight
Take time to be at peace with yourself
Take more naps
Tell yourself how much you love yourself every day
Visit a place you’ve always wanted to go
Try a food you’ve always been afraid to try
Get a tattoo
Get a piercing
Change your hair color
Let go of a bad relationship
Take an exciting gym class like pole dancing or kick boxing or scuba diving
Join a protest you believe in
Redecorate your house
Throw out all your old, holey underwear and socks and buy new ones
Commit to self care sundays
This list is just a few resolutions you could make instead of one completely about losing weight
Take care of yourself guys and tell yourself “I am beautiful and I deserve a resolution that will bring me joy not stress”

VERY dangerous! Do not attempt if you do not already have an eating disorder.
Take vitamins/supplements everyday, and do not count them.
Eat if you feel faintish, but do not go overboard.
Do not steal this diet and claim it as your own. You can post about it but make sure to link back to here.
No red meat. You can eat seafood and poultry, but pork, beef, and other red meats are off limits.

January 1st-3rd: Eat up to 700 calories, burning off half of what you eat. Today at least half of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, however do not go over 75g. Eat at least 15g of protein, there is no limit for protein since at 700 calories you can’t go over with protein. Eat 10-60g of fat, but under 15g combined saturated and trans fats.
January 4th-6th: Eat up to 800 calories, burning off half of what you eat. Today at least a third of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, and you must still stay under 75g. Eat at least 17g of protein, and the same fat rules but with under 17g combined saturated and trans fats.
January 7th-13th: Eat up to 650 calories, burning off half of what you eat. Today at least two thirds of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, and you must stay under 65g. Eat at least 13g of protein and 7-60g of fat with under 15g combined saturated and trans fats.
January 14th-19th: Eat up to 600 calories, burning off half of what you eat. Today at least two thirds of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, and you must stay under 60g. Eat at least 12g of protein and 6-60g of fat with under 12g combined saturated and trans fats.
January 20th: Cheat day! Eat up to 1200 calories, burning off a third of what you eat. Today at least a third of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, and you must stay under 100g. Eat at least 20g of protein and 15-100g of fat with under 15g combined saturated and trans fats.
January 21st-23rd: Eat up to 500 calories, burning off half of what you eat. Today at least three fourths of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, and you must stay under 50g. Eat at least 5g protein and 5-50g fat with under 10g combined saturated and trans fats.
January 24th-31st: Eat up to 600 calories, burning off half of what you eat. Today at least half of your carbs will come from fruits and veggies, with under 60g. Eat at least 7g protein and 7-75g fat with under 11g combined saturated and trans fats.

I really wanna have abs
Try this easy workout, it’s the one kpop idols do.
The idols abs are called 11 abs.
You have to do it three times a day:
One time in the morning, one during the day and one before bed.
Workout:
-> 1 min elbow plank
-> 10 normal crunches
-> 10 angled position crunches
-> 10 straight leg position crunches
-> 15 leg raises
Repeat this three times, so three sets in total.
I think it’s a very easy workout to go through.
I need about 9 min to go through the three sets.
But I gotta tell you it burns after the first day, but keep going, you got this and it will get better over time.
Also dont forget to stretch your core throughout the workout (I stretch after every set).
