What new does Seungri bring to the group? He isn't the best singer, dancer, performer, producer, nor is he the official visual. So what does he bring to the group? How is he of importance? I'm not trying to be mean, just being honest.

The same here too. Go back to the beginning when they said his may surpass Taeyang’s, but YG didn’t need another dancer. So Seungri stopped dancing. Remember in the beginning he helped Choreograph some of the dances they did. He can sing exceptionally. Listen to Blue, Loser, A Fool’s Tears. He produced his on songs, which in my opinion, three would do well in America. He has a natural to you fans sleep on. He is sexy, and very Charismatic; which is something that grabs and keeps your attention. He plays this role of goofball in Big Bang, But by no means is he stupid. Multilingual, many businesses, now his own label. He hangs with billionaires, gleaning knowledge of how to make more money, and business adventures at the young age of 26. Now tell me what he doesn’t have to offer or add to Big Bang. Please believe some of his connections have helped Big Bang, we just don't know it…

I would just like to add that even if we look at Seungri purely in terms of vocals, he adds so much to the quality of the songs. I don’t think he gets enough credit for this but Seungri has an very ‘sweet’ vocal tone that is such a joy to listen to. If you listen to pretty much any of the more vocal songs (e.g. Loser, Blue, Haru Haru acoustic, If You, Monster), especially the live versions (I cannot emphasise enough how good Bigbang and Seungri in particular sound in the live versions), you can really hear his distinct and dare I say beautiful voice. And its even better when he’s singing acapella because you can really hear how sweet and soft it is. And I don’t mean soft in terms of volume or impact, rather, in terms of how soothing and clear it is. While he may make it seem almost effortless and natural, his voice is quite difficult to achieve- especially for men.

Each of the Bigbang members has a very distinct vocal tone, and that’s one of their strengths and what makes them so good - each member is so different from one another. This is no different for Seungri. His sweet voice and distinct vocal colour that only he can do adds much needed diversity to Bigbang’s vocal colour and enriches it. The way that his voice can both blend and stand out during harmonies and makes them that much richer and more beautiful. Just try to imagine a Haru Haru chorus without Seungri’s voice. There would be something important missing. It’s the same for each of them. If you take the voice of any member out of a Bigbang song, clearly it wouldn’t be nearly as good. It is the five voices of Bigbang together that make their songs so amazing.

The other members have praised him multiple times on his singing in the past. GD said that in particular he liked Seungri’s sweet voice. Taeyang has said before that if he wanted to do a subunit with anyone, it would be Seungri. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. These men are professionals in their field, and if they thought that Seungri didn’t add anything to the group or wasn’t ‘of importance’, then they wouldn’t have acknowledged him at all, seeing as they didn’t need to. They have said on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS that Bigbang needs Seungri and that they are thankful that he is a part of Bigbang.

If the very people that you respect and are a fan of respect Seungri, then there ought to be substantial merit to his contributions to the group.

If the very members of the group, who will always know what is necessary for the group better than a ‘fan’ with no professional authority only personal opinion, decides that a member is important, then they very damn well are important.

I could go on and on about his multitude of other successes and contributions, but considering the anon was talking just about group contributions in terms of musicality, I think its pretty clear that there is no question that he is an integral member of the group, just as they all are.

I would also like to add that besides talents in the music industry –his album Let’s Talk About Love that has been self produced is up to this day in Oricron’s charts in the top 10, surpassing Taeyang’s Rise and staying below of just two places to One of a Kind by GD— if it wasn’t for Seungri’s ability in variety, Bigbang would (no offense but the last V-lives have proven it) look bland, if not boring.

Seungri’s liveliness brings laughter in each broadcast they are, anecdotes about him are constantly used by Bigbang’s members to entertain both audience and MCs, he, himself, often takes charge of being “the goofball” the one to make fun of, so that the other members would stand out. Daesung can entertain as well, but he too admitted that he has to force himself into being funny and lively as by nature he’s quite calm and reserved.

Beside that, he also takes charge of MCing Bigbang’s appearances on lives, concerts and broadcasts as he’s the most natural at it, especially for korean’s sense of humor.

Appreciate this goofball, don’t underestimate him, especially since he’s being working his ass off in so many branches, any other celebrity would pale.

as someone who was an admin of fckyeahgd during the time when gd asked for privacy back in the summer of 2014, sharing gd’s private instagram posts is completely unacceptable and inexcusable. as someone who’s a founder of fybb, it’s disgusting that people would rather reach and say top is shitting on cfans rather than addressing the concern that this man nearly got a panic attack for having so many stalkers ringing his doorbell, fans who barricade seungri from entering his hotel in vn, and people who won’t hesitate to charge hundreds of dollars to share bb’s kakao and line accounts and phone numbers, etc. the list just goes on and on.

it’s not a secret that pmo was made to share posts to his circle only, and it’s upsetting that people still want to hack into his account, make 41279513 accounts based on his private likes and how many people he’s following. it’s upsetting to see lots of people in the past few months, through knowing people who have access to his account, posting links to his private posts, screencapping and sharing his posts as “tea”. it’s upsetting that people are using this to find incriminating evidence that he’s dating his member and/or another girl that they’ve been speculating for months if they’re a thing. it’s upsetting that people are excusing this behavior, because “there’s nothing scandalous in his account anyways” like as if, you know, hacking is fine as long it doesn’t get to the media, right?

it’s also totally fine to be racist/sinophobic and generalize an entire ethnicity as stalkerish and invasive people, right? as long as we’re not talking about non-asian international fans who are down to stand outside of a hotel for hours just to look for them, walking around the city to find them, etc. and justify it as “well i don’t see them that often, so i’m gonna take every opportunity i get”? because “koreans see them all the time because they’re so close to them, so i can do this”? it’s also fine to get someone’s private number because “i paid for it”? ok.

i don’t give a fuck if there’s a billion bullshit excuses to justify this kind of behavior. you have invading people’s privacy, whether you’re actively there at their houses to look for them or sharing photos of someone’s private instagram. if you are someone who participates/condones in this kind of behavior, you are immediately blocked from reblogging and liking my posts/tweets.
