Julie had never been kissed and it didn't usually bother her that much. Not that she didn't want it to happen, but she was alright with waiting. She could describe at least 10 scenarios for possible perfect first kisses on the spot with her eager imagination and tendency to take her daydreams so seriously she could basically live inside her own head at times, but then she sat crisscrossed on her bed and listened to Y\n talk about that stupid spin the bottle game a group from her school played instead of working on the Science project and she couldn't help but wish her father knocked on the door and asked for help with something just so she could get out of there. "C'mon Julie, don't make that face. I know you have a thing for Nick but it's not like I wanted to kiss him, it was just a game." "I don't have a crush on him, not anymore..." she shrugged, her voice came out lower than usual and she forced a smile, fixing her posture. "You don't?" she shook her head "Why do you seem bothered then?" "I'm not." Y\n was about to protest but she didn’t give it time "I just feel like I should have had my first kiss already, that's it; maybe I should go with what Flynn said the other day." "Oh." Y\n laughed but it sounded a little too short for a real giggle, eyes scanning a pillow that was close by "Yeah, I mean, it was an idea. If you two kiss, you're so close, it'd take away the pressure. First kiss is out of the way and it's a cute little story about how it was with your best friend instead of some romantic whatever." "Or we could just kiss!" Julie said it way faster than her normal pace, her voice going from lower to louder and higher than usal "You're one of my best friends too, so it still works, right?" y\n's eyes grew wide and Julie pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, twisting its tip nervously as she stood under the shocked stare of her friend who seemed to be trying to decipher whether she was being serious or not. "I don't think so... sorry, Jules." "You kissed Nick on a game and I don't think you'd ever do it for real, why is it such a bad idea to kiss me?" she sounded a hurt, she wanted to play it down and change the subject but she couldn't, she wanted to understand. "It's different... I've never wanted to kiss him." "Do you want to kiss me?" the Molina girl was torn between surprise and joy. "Almost too much" there was a short breathy chuckle before the teen went on "I don't think I can do it, it's not gonna be just a cute friendship kiss for me, not with you." Julie could easily list 10 scenarios for her perfect first kiss, but she never imagined herself making the first move given how shy she is. Still, the girl got closer, her hand went to cup face in front of her and she whispered "It doesn't have to be".

Babysitting the Peters twins was nothing new to you, so when their mom asked if you could pick Nick and Hannah up the next day and spend some time with them, you agreed. She gave you a spare key since they were going to get back after the kids' bed time, so it’d be better to stay at their place. It all sounded easy enough, they could be a handful at times but the twins were nice and after they went to bed, you could watch a movie with Reggie while you waited for his parents to be back, you were good friends after all.

What you didn't expect was to see the guy in front of the house, waiting for you to arrive with his little siblings. The excited little boy ran to him the moment Reggie was in sight, being picked up, and the little girl kept on holding your hand but eagerly waved and talked to him all the way till you were actually close to each other. "Good news, you guys are going to watch rehearsal today!" they were loudly excited and Reggie reassured you before you could even ask "You're obviously coming too, mom and dad know already, we can come home after your free private concert." he winked and you rolled your eyes even if the smile couldn't let you lie and pretend like he annoyed you. Hannah's voice got your attention away from the two goofing boys who walked ahead, "Mom and dad are fighting again, right?" She didn't look up, her attention on your fingers, playing with them "That's why we are going with Reggie" "We don't know, maybe he just wanted his little Hannah Banana to watch him play." you hoped the idea and the nickname would take that terrible little frown away but it didn't work, she shrugged instead. She was probably right and you were aware of it, from all you knew about the family, that made sense. You could imagine Reggie hesitantly interrupting them to say he would take you all with him before he himself got out to wait far from all the yelling. He was a good brother and just a nice person in general, it wasn't fair that they had to deal with their parents' problems.

Half of the time spent there consisted of the three of you dancing to Sunset Curve, you could at least expect them to sleep well that night if it tired them as much as it did to you. Exhausted, you finally accepted being no match for the kids' energy and threw yourself on the couch, Nick and Hannah took a while before stopping too and you offered them some pencils and pens you had on your backpack and sheets ripped from a notebook. "Hey, you're getting really good at it." said Alex, taking a look at Hannah's drawing "Who are they?" "This is Y\N and that's Reggie and a dog because he likes puppies and was telling me he saw one the other day and they are inside a heart because they are dating." The only reason the room didn't fall into shocked silence was because Reggie almost chocked on his water and Luke held back his laughter but nudged you, waggling his eyebrows as he talked: "Her drawings are getting more interesting everyday". "Hannah," you called after giving Luke a pointed look "you know we're not dating, right?" "In my drawing, you are." "And in mine, Sunset Curve's going on tour!!!" you could give Nick a hug for how the sweet and oblivious little boy changed the subject with his excited remark "You guys are going all around the world and Alex's drums are huge! Look, you and Reggie are singing together." He showed it to Luke, who high fived him before giving ideas on what to add to the stage. Hannah took the paper to herself and smiled before poking Nick and pointing to a space beside the stage. "Draw Y\N here, they are dating, so they should travel together." You facepalmed while the little boy happily got back to work.

Long time no see!

Soooo, I’m just gonna casually walk my way back to this tumblr as if I haven’t been missing for this long.

Seriously though, I’ve missed it and I think I’m ready to post again, specially since it seems like people still read and enjoy my stuff here. So thanks you to everyone who has been checking it still and thank you SO much to the people who sent me sweet messages while I was away, that was amazing, you don’t have any idea how happy it has made me.

Survivor’s guilt

Summary: As requested by @msmarvelsmain: “i thought i’d be a little different and ask for a bobby request, maybe him meeting reader after the boys die and kind of being happy for the first time since they’ve passed?”

Warning: Angst. Seriously, the whole thing takes place in a graveyard, sorry.

Bobby sat by the tombstone with an almost inaudible "hi", putting a small pot with flowers there. He didn't usually put flowers for them but sometimes, he'd get it for Reggie; he figured they would attract bees and Reggie would like that. Visiting them wasn't unusual for him; if anything, it was the opposite, a routine.There were little things he got used to doing for each of them but in general, he'd visit one by one, sit there, talk to them, play, cry. It was different this time, he fiddled with his fingers in silence and took a deep breath, throwing his head back, his eyes closed. "If you guys were still alive, you'd be the first one I'd tell." he smiled, he knew what he had said was true but he also knew he'd only tell his friend once he was certain of his feelings and ready for Luke and Alex to know because Reggie wasn't the best at keeping secrets from the other two. "I've met someone...", he could feel the familiar pain on his throat but he didn't want to cry. Getting attached to people was difficult after loosing his brothers and when he finally met a person to whom he started feeling connected, he panicked. He distanced himself when he first realised; his emotions were a mess, he was afraid of liking someone and loosing them again, angry at himself for letting that happen, happy for finding someone he felt comfortable with, moved for being able to play to someone again and most of all, he was guilt for feeling good after so long. He was guilt for smiling, for going out and having fun when his friends couldn't do it anymore. What right did he have to be alive and enjoying it when Alex, Luke and Reggie couldn't do so ever again? He wasn't special, he didn't deserve it more than them, he should have gone out to eat something that night as well. He told himself they'd want him to be alright, they had made him so happy, his friend's wouldn't want it to change. He didn't want it to change, he wanted to feel the exact same joy he used to experience with them but whatever it was he had been feeling was good too and he could only hope they'd support him. He told Reggie about how they'd met and about things they had been doing together, "I think you two would get along". Alex was next and Bobby admitted he should have told them before but he was scared, the drummer would understand it; he could almost see Alex's teasing smile when he caught himself talking for maybe a bit too long about how endearing some stupid little habit was. Luke was last and that's when he couldn't help the tears because Luke was probably the most blindly supportive person he knew and Bobby could almost feel the arms on his shoulders when he confessed he was finally able to play in front of people again. "Not 'people'. One person, really... I gotta tell you something".

The scenes kept playing on Reggie's mind, taking all his attention while Luke and Alex talked about the new song Julie had written.

"Reg, are you even listening?"

"Not really, sorry. What did you ask?"

They shared a look and Luke put his guitar down, asking the bassist what got him so distracted. He blushed and looked away.

"You know the other day, when you wanted to show us you can have chemistry with anyone?" The others had been expecting some kind of talk about it so they just smiled, waiting for him to continue when he was ready "Well, that just really reminded me of Y\n."

"Oh." that sure wasn't what they expected but Alex guessed that made sense, they knew how big Reggie's crush was when they were alive, even if he never really admitted "How come?"

That night, after Sunset Curve's presentation, the two of them went to Y\n's house.

"Don't worry, nobody's home." It was late and Reggie was happy to know his laugh wouldn't wake anyone up, uncovering his mouth "But seriously, the way he sings with you and Bobby, sometimes I swear Luke's going to kiss you guys. If he harmonizes with Alex, he's gonna climb the drums just so he can get close to him."

"Hey!" Luke frowned.

"We do get very close when we sing together" Reggie shrugged.

"You know what, I'm glad you never confessed to y\n!"

Reggie looked down, playing with the hem of his shirt "Well..."

They went to the bedroom still talking about the concert, Reggie smiled at the complements, y\n sounded so excited about their music, talking about how good his friends were, telling him he had a beautiful voice, he felt his heart skip a beat with that last remark.

"I guess I can understand why Luke sings like that."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, if I could..." the bassist was about to ask again when Y\n started singing to one of their songs. He watched the scene with a fond expression that soon changed into a surprised one as y\n got closer, holding eye contact with him.

He felt a hand on his neck, pulling him closer, his heart was beating fast, his cheeks were red and he knew so because he could feel his face getting warmer. The last words of the song came out of beat and there was silence.

"That was nice!" Reggie's voice was higher than normal and y\n smiled, finally looking away from his eyes, only to stare at his lips for a second. The flustered boy didn't have time to question what it was about before feeling y\n's lips over his and just as quickly as the touch came, it was gone.

"I've always wanted to do that." Y\n said almost in a whisper and it was all that was needed to wake Reggie up from his stupor, his turn to pull his crush in for a kiss, this time a longer and more passionate one.

Being George Feeny's godson meant many things; great advice, less help with homework than expected because he was supposed to do his own work, befriending the Matthews and his godfather knowing he's gay even before he did. "Y\N." George called and his godson straightened up quickly, startle by the voice. Feeny took a long look at the group of boys down the hallway, a group he was not only familiar with but had had to give his share of scoldings and advice to; his stare went back to his boy who was now avoiding his eyes, afraid of what was about to happen since he had been caught, a string of excuses coming out on a way that wasn't too far from coherent. A smile graced Feeny's face and he placed a hand on the teen's shoulder "We choose what we let people see about ourselves, Y\N. But denying our heart's desires when it wants nothing more than love sounds like a shame, don't you think?" Before Y\N could fully process what Feeny had said, the man was already walking down the corridor. He smiled before his godfather’s voice made him sneak behind the locker door again, his eyes back to the group he was previously watching. "Mr. Patterson, Mr. Peters and Mr. Mercer, I would like to believe the rule 'no lifting friends in the middle of the hallway' doesn't need to be created. And Mr. Wilson, would you take that camera away from my face?"

Alex and Y\N had their books and notes all over the table, working on their project, but the 3 other boys didn't seem to be really working on anything as they sat on the couch near them and Y\N could swear he saw them staring. At the start, from the first suspicious remark when he got to the house, Y\N felt confused, soon embarrassed and at some point, he became amused, feeling his confidence grow at the realization that not only his crush felt the same but his bandmates where trying to get them together. "You know, you guys are really good!" Y\N told them while writing something down, he had watched a bit of the band's rehearsal since he got to Alex's house a little earlier. "You gotta see us on stage!" said Reggie excited "Alex looks hot killing it on the drums" he added with a wink and the blond boy groaned, throwing an eraser at the bassist. "I bet he does..." Y\N answered simply, a smirk on his face but looking back to his book. There was silence for a while but it was cut by hushed talk coming from the couch. He didn't pay attention to it till he heard kissing noises and he saw Alex facepalm, his cheeks red. He also noticed he was sitting closer than before. Y\N raised an eyebrow, stealing a look at Alex's notes, searching for anything he could use as an excuse. He leaned in unnecessarily and pointed at the notebook "I like that, we could associate it with what we were talking about the main character." he turned his head to the side to look at Alex, knowing that their faces were way too close this time. Reggie's hand gripped Bobby's arm as he looked from his friends to the couple and back. "Yeah, that's... that's good. Good. Okay." The small crowd got to edge of their seats, all eyes on them, waiting for the next move. Y\N smiled, letting his stare travel from the blue eyes to the mouth, staying there for a while and going back to the eyes that were slightly wide before softening, the lips that were once parted in shock curling into a grin. A loud thump interrupted them just before their lips touched. Luke was on the floor and Bobby smacked his arm before helping him up. They said something about having to go and rushed out of the door, Bobby closed it but not before teasing them one last time with a "Have fun". "I'm so sorry about them." "Don't be." After that, they were just too distracted by the taste of each other to notice the 3 heads popping up behind the door’s glass; Luke in the middle, putting his hands out for the other two to hit them.
