Author's Commentary: As is always the case with the series, the order presented in the series page is the most up-to-date order. As I add more to the series, this is subject to change. As of the writing of this post, this story is the fourth story posted for the series but is second chronologically. This is also the first Episode Tag chronologically in the series.
I wrote this for @kitweewoos for her birthday. She mentioned German Chocolate Cake as her favourite so it became Tommy's favourite in this fic. And this was the prompt she gave me.
I think something like Tommy/Liv softness, like them hanging out at one of their houses, playing games or watching movies, just cozy fluff
I chose Footloose as Olivia's favourite movie because it's mine and I made her enjoy the remake as well as the original because she's chill like that.
Also the ridiculous amount of stress baking I thought was just funny and I had to add it in.
As always I really enjoy developing the Tommy/Olivia friendship dynamic. And after writing about their beginnings, that's when I really felt like I could write the strengths of their friendship because this was the first story I wrote that felt like a truly fleshed out friendship.

Author's Commentary: While this is not the first story I have uploaded for the series (it's the third), this is the very begining of the Harbor Station Stories timeline, officially, circa 2017, when Tommy first joined up at Harbor Station. Yes, I know what canon said, but this is an AU and I will eventually write up the timeline that I use if people are interested in it. I also really enjoy writing the same story from the perspective of two different characters. I really get to show what parts of the story are important to each person.
Someone sent me the song Francesca by Hozier and the song inspired me to write this story about love and acceptance. The story title and the chapter titles are lyrics from the song.
This is also the first of my fanfics to ever get fanart. Shoutout to @may-i-have-loops for drawing this scene for me for Pride Month.
be proud of your original characters. it's no easy task to create a character from scratch, to make them believable and real and human. it takes time. it takes dedication. so what if they aren't perfect right away? so what if there are still things you're only now figuring out after time? characters evolve, they go through changes and arcs and stories just like real people do. and it's okay if your character develops over time, you don't need to have it all figured out right away. there are some things that will only ever clear up after writing them for a while, finding their voice, and seeing the way they interact with other characters. but this is your character, your creation, and you deserve to feel proud about it no matter what.
