Katrina sighed as she sat in the interrogation room waiting for the officers to come question her. “I swear, I just want to go home,” she said looking around the room before two white male officers walked in. I guess the interview is now.
“Hello ma’am, are you feeling okay? do you need anything?” one of the officers asked. “No I want to go home. Can we get this over with? I’m sleepy.” she yawned covering her mouth. “Alright,” the other officer stated, “What happened?“ “I was walking around and then I saw two girls starting to fight. I called the bodyguards to break it up then one girl start attacking me so I defended myself.” Katrina responded. She looked between the both of them and rolled her eyes. She didn’t care if they believed her or not. It was the truth. at the end of the day. “Who was involved in the fight?” one of them asked. “I don’t know. It was all a blur to me. Everything happened so fast and I just wanted the fighting to stop. I didn’t get a look at them.” she said. “Not even the girl who hit you?” “She was white. That’s all I remember.” The men took a few notes and nodded their heads. “Why were in the back of the club?” Rolling her eyes, she shook her head. “You do realize.... I’m wearing stripper heels, a thong, and a small bra... I’m a stripper. I was in the backroom getting my shit. I wasn’t about to leave without my keys and my phone. The other girls work there with me obviously.” White people are dumb. she thought. “Can I go now? I need a shower and I need to go get the money I made since y’all arrested me.” She asked them. Eventually, she was released and returned home.
