Dreamt that I was outside a strip mall and this old lady and her dog had been there for awhile, sitting in 90 degree heat. And upon questioning if she was okay, learned she had dementia and she didn’t know where she was

But upon calling 911 in the dream, they were like “okay wait- what’s your card info so we can charge it $120 before visit?”

reed900, but instead of Gavin hating androids and him working with RK900, Gavin buys RK900 as an at-home-android, actually treating him nicer than anyone he’s met (actually treating everyone he meets like shit),

he’s mostly monotone and mellow around RK900, not showing much emotions and still asking for things as little as “would you get me my toothbrush?” In bed, grumbling about his day, venting about his whole life while using RK900 as someone to comfort and hold him. A lot of their time spent together being RK900 positioned behind Gavin with RK900’s arms wrapped securely around Gavin’s waist while he holds the androids hand to his chest, gently fidgeting with RK900’s fingers as he quietly talks, never leaving out little things like “thank you for being here…”

and that ends up being how RK900 deviates, especially with how he sees Gavin treat other people compared to him. and the fact that with the amount of quiet afternoons and nights of holding the human, RK900 has heard thousands of stories about his life, his inner thoughts that Gavin hasn’t told a living soul. RK900 knows more about Gavin than anymore ever has or ever attempted

And RK900 can see how Gavin’s vitals immediately change when the android is around, how his heart rate slows the second the man spots the RK, after he comes home from work. His breathing and heart rate peacefully slow when they finally lay down together to talk

And sometimes Gavin switches it up so Nines is the one against his chest while Gavin plays with the RK’s hair, Nines liking it so much that even undeviated him pulls and snuggles Gavin closer, Gavin enjoying the feeling of the androids hair

Bonus: RK900 is still a military android, maybe he liked how he looked, or he interacted with him and decided he had to have him, maybe RK900 was deemed faulty so he was on sale to the public, or Gavin found Nines thrown away, so he repaired him and kept him, feeling sympathy because he felt that he himself had been thrown away too

bonus:

Playing off of this with a different au: Reed900 where Gavin barely acknowledges RK900 at work, but brings him home to hold and comfort him (and everything else about what they do at home listed above)
