Sharing WHIST in VR

We are excited to share with you the taster of our new Virtual Reality / Dance production WHIST at watermans Digital Performance Weekender. The project is a Research and Development (R&D) project on utilising Virtual Reality (VR) technology to pilot a new form of dance experience for existing dance audiences and early adopters of technological innovation. We investigate how the experience of performer and viewer could be extended, enhanced and augmented through means beyond our bodies. Through creating innovative VR content in partnership with London-based digital company Happy Finish (HF), we want to research into layering movement experiences in virtual and real environments, with gaming elements, to create a new artistic experience for current and future arts audiences. The work is funded by Arts Council England and supported by Ashford borough Council, Jasmin Vardimon company, Gulbenkian theatre, Ashford Youth Theatre, Happy Finish, Kent Wool Growers and Fish Island lab. That's a WRAP !!! Thank you to everyone who has been involved in the first part of this project. We are so proud of what we have done the last few weeks and excited to share it with you all soon during our upcoming sharing at different venues. Dates will be announced soon! But for now it is time for Post-production work with Happy finish AΦE and James Brown to make this VR experience possible! And of course as usual, composing our own music and sound-environment.
