I just read something that confused me, did the boys not have their loveracelets on before they were all brought together?

At the start of the movie they didn’t have their loveracelets.

Then Yumoto, Atsushi, Io and Ryuu got caught up in a fight after meeting up and got theirs.

After that they reunited with Enchan who received his off-screen.

He has some kind of power to gain and lose weight as he wishes (don’t ask me what the lore behind that is about, I don’t know either…)

Specifically Akoya is now running a Snack bar and he’s the Mama, and it seems like he can switch from his normal self to a gained weight version as part of the Mama vibe.

What do zundar and dadacha do in the movie?

They only appeared in the last part of the movie and ended up soaking in the onsen with everyone before returning back to their planet.

But it seems like the two of them are there on TV production business because Zundar said “it’s great that we get paid for this” (“this” referring to soaking in the onsen)

Can you specify why Atsushi should be sent to jail or sacked from his job pls? Ty!

Atsushi is working as the head manager of the Binan city office tax department now.

Yumoto asked him for help to find the others by using his position to search up their home addresses on the city tax system, and at first Atsushi wasn’t willing to, but then he realised if the Battle Lovers couldn’t reunite -> The world would end -> he wouldn’t be able to eat curry anymore, and Atsushi caved in.

So yeah he deserves to be sent to jail or sacked (literally) for breach of personal information.

Kinshiro was manipulated/influenced (?) by Aye Aye and was arguing with the Boueibu about not wanting to take baths.

Then the Boueibu struck down all of Kinshiro’s arguments and hit him and Aye Aye with a love attack (then threw them in the bath).

Could you elaborate on Akoya being the mvp? Also is it true he and Ryuu are close now? >w<

At the start of the movie Yumoto had no way of finding where and what the senpais were up to 10 years later, but he ran into Akoya who had been keeping in contact with Io, Ryuu and Arima and they got reunited as a result.

Ryuu is a regular at Akoya’s bar! So yes they’re close now

(I'll try to make the spoiler as vague as possible so I don't spoil the entire story...)

Nobody recognized the shaggy version of Enchan except Atsushi

Kinchan's current occupation is a mystery but Arima seems to know what it is and plays along with it

Kinchan and Atsushi try to make awkward small talk again, with Enchan egging Atsushi on

By the way

It's not revealed in the movie what Kinchan's occupation is but in the interview in Spoon, Takamatsu says that they meant for him to be a, um, erotic novel writer at first. (The term he used is 官能小説)

Not as strong as whatever the third years had going on but yes!

The usual ioryuu friendly bickering (Io worried about Ryuu's savings and Ryuu commenting on how lame Io's clothes look)

The two of them possibly kept in touch for the past 10 years (implied but not confirmed though, or it could just be my ioryuu goggles put on too tight)

And of course them fighting back to back

Boueibu movie spoilers below

I went to watch the movie! 7 times so far

Some of my thoughts (without giving out any concrete story spoilers):

The movie really felt fitting for a 10th anniversary. Even though they're all grown up it feels like they haven't changed a single bit

Aye Aye is really cute and the more I watch the cuter he gets

Akoya is without a doubt the MVP of the movie

He wears a fur shawl when he leaves his shop and it's very cute

Atsushi deserves to get sent to jail or at least sacked from his job

The EnAtsu towel scene is really funny

I pity Kinchan for having to put up with the Boueibu's antics back in the day...

VEPPer finally get their more better transformation!!

And here are some photos of the collab food

The roll ice cream could use a bit more fruit flavour but it was not bad

The VEPPer parfait and the Kurotamayu bath water (soup) was really delicious!!

The dorayaki were good and packed full of filling
