DIY Fleece Diaper Cover - GREAT FOR NIGHT TIME!
So, my son has a sensitivity to disposable diapers and when he teethes or has diaper rash they are a big no-no. Until I found this diaper type we just let him go commando and he was naked in our bed all night. Sometimes we’d have accidents, but usually not. The accidents prompted me to try FLEECE DIAPER COVERS!
Guess What? THEY FREAKING WORK! His pre-fold is soaked, I mean SOAKED, but nothing gets in our bed! The fleece acts as an absorber and keeps the liquid in the prefold!
Here is how I make them! VERY simple and costs less than $5 and you can make at least 5!
What You’ll Need:
BLIZZARD FLEECE- Regular fleece DOES NOT WORK, son don’t waste money or time with it. It HAS TO be Blizzard (or Anti-Pill works too). I usually get ¼ of one fabric, usually the solid, and ½ of the patterned, but you should really check the pattern and size of your babe 1st.
Pattern – Here’s the one you see me using in the pictures Soaker Pattern HERE
Pins
Scissor
Sewing Machine
Start by laying out your fabric. Be sure you’re placing on the fold! You’ll need two smaller squares, a larger rectangle and the diaper.
Now it’s time to SEW! You’ll need to sew all 3 of the bands together on the short side! See!
Next we sew the sides of the main diaper piece together. I pin here because it helps keep the edges together. Here, you line up the bottom corners. You’ll notice that the top doesn’t quite match. You want to be sure that your placing the right sides together before you sew. The fluffier side goes on the inside so when you sew you’ll have the soft side (wrong side) facing you and the rough side (right side) inside.
So at this point you should have sewn all 4 pieces and have something that looks like this:
Now to finish this thing! Take your small pieces, here they are grey, and fold them in half, matching up the seams so that they are on the inside.
Slide the smaller ones into the leg holes so that they are on the inside and just the seams are sticking out. Sew both legs. The easiest thing to do is slide the leg around your machine base and just sew. The base stretches everything so it lines up.
waistband is slightly harder. Find the middle of the back of the diaper and pin the back in place (this is to help easily recognize your diaper’s front and back).
You will need to pull on the waistband as you sew it to the diaper so that it fits all the way around.
This is the FINISHED PRODUCT!

( ._.)./ an explanation:
The dog has an issue where his esophagus doesn’t work right; it doesn’t get food in there right because it’s all stretched out and stuff. So what dog owners (and cat owners and I guarantee you the cat ones look goofier) do is make a highchair and feed them upright so gravity can be a hero. It’s also really cute.
The disorder is called Megaesophagus.
Here is a cat with the same disorder in his eatin’ sock.

I chime in with a “Haven’t you people ever heard of checking a goddamn source?”
No, it’s much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of smug irrationality.

Happy anniversary.
in Philippine Mythology, Bulalakaw was the name of a messenger spirit.
They come in many forms. sometimes, as a slender young man wearing a feathered headdress, or a genderless fairy-deity with the head of a bird, or, simply, as a comet.
their name means falling star.
