Can you tell us some more about your sister of sin cosplay? Like what kind of dress your wearing and how the whole cosplay came togther?
All credit to the physical creation of the outfits has to go to my irl sibling @a-coward :] He can sew, he can craft, he can work a hot glue gun - all skills used in the project lol
I can give ya an overview, but any specific questions would be better answered by @a-coward :]
So, it all started for the Baltimore Ritual last year. We wanted to dress up but wanted to be comfortable, too, and being Siblings of Sin was a good fit for both objectives.
The base outfit is a basic nun costume off of amazon, that we then made additions to.
We sewed lace into the veils, bought grucifix patches off of amazon to iron onto the skirts, and threw on our old corsets from the renaissance fair.
The beads of the rosaries are from Micheals and the charms on the end were taken from necklaces sold by Hot Topic.
And that was the first iteration!
We liked the outfits so much that we wanted to keep them around for our next ritual, but we also wanted to improve them!
We knew we needed to change the corsets, 'cause the basic ones proved rather uncomfortable after a few hours of wear. The new corsets are definitely the most involved piece in the outfits. The process went like this:
Wrap subject in saran wrap and painter's tape - draw pattern
Transfer pattern to worbla thermoplastic
Mold thermoplastic to subject using a head gun (with care)
Stretch and glue brocade fabric from Etsy over the corset
Punch holes for the corset lacing
Make hot glue filigree detailing using silicone molds from Etsy
Decorate using the filigree and multitude of rhinestones
The hip chain/beads were also from Micheals :]
We also added brocade to the interior of the veils to help balance out the look :]!
So, yeah! That's sister Blasphemy and sister Heresy!
