β situation - bringing the iconic heated perilla leaf reactions alive for you <3
β tags - fluff, romance, humour and good ol' jealousy
An embarrassed look took over [friend]'s face as they struggled to separate the perilla leaves from the sauce, fumbling with their chopsticks as the three of you sat down for dinner at a restaurant. "[name], could you please help me with this?"
You and your boyfriend looked up from your plates at that.
You nodded understandingly reaching out to help them, "Of course, its no problem at all."
Seokjin is really chill about it. He quietly watches you help in separating the leaves for his friend as he fills up his own plate.
Gulping down his food, he teases them for not being able to do it by themselves.
"Hey, you're a capable adult aren't you?" He grins cheekily at his friend who flushes at the insinuation of being a kid.
"Of course I am!"
You just watch amusedly as the friendly banter continues, adding some meat on Seokjin's plate.
He flashed you a charming smile in return, a hand over your chair the whole time.
A dinner date gone really well, in your opinion.
Yoongi can tolerate it. Although he is baffled that his friend finds it difficult to peel the leaves.
You laugh at the look on his face as you separate the leaves, knowing exactly what was going on in his mind while his friend looks at you two in confusion.
You lean back to your seat, being pleasantly surprised by Yoongi adding more food to your plate.
"Eat well," he smiled sweetly at you.
You hummed happily in affirmation, picking up your chopsticks to eat when the cute moment was broken by his friend.
"Can you help me peel my shrimp too?"
Yoongi gave them a scathing look. "You don't deserve to eat shrimp."
You choked at that.
Hoseok is a sweetheart. He trusts there is no ulterior motive in his friend's actions and if there is, he trusts you that you won't reciprocate the motive.
You smiled awkwardly at their struggle and leaned over to help them, swiftly doing the job and returned back to your seat.
Hoseok's breath tickled over your ear, his voice hushed and lips slightly brushing. "Well, since my darling had to do someone else's job it's only fair that I help you out too, right?"
Giving you his heart shaped smile he separated your perilla leaves, chuckling fondly as you remained motionless and flushed at his actions.
This man is so dangerous! He even made pickled perilla leaves romantic!
It took some time for you to calm down from that.
Namjoon pretends he doesn't care. You're just helping out his friend so there is nothing to be jealous of...right?
He looked unbothered but actually he was watching every action carefully.
He narrows his eyes when you laugh at a joke his friend made as you separated the leaves; quickly composing himself when you looked over to him.
"Honey, did you know you there is an abandoned underground casino right below this place?" He mentioned casually.
Hook, line and sinker your full attention was on him now, eagerly discussing about the topic, wanting to know more.
Its not a competition [friend] but goodbye to you and your stinky leaves, he cackled in his head.
He flinched when he saw the knowing grin on your face.
Of course you knew, he sighed in defeat.
Jimin was downright adorable.
He looked confused as you helped his friend, them thanking you as you assured them it was alright.
While you were busy helping, he was busy scheming.
His eyes brightened considerably, having received an idea.
You went back to your seat, picking up your chopsticks to eat but was interrupted when a plate was kept down near yours.
You looked up in surprise and immediately stiffened.
His lips were jutting out seductively in a pout and his eyes teasing and light, "[name], can you help me too?"
An arrow pierced your heart. So fatal!
"Of course." You nodded your head eagerly, even making a wrap stuffed with meat and veggies for him.
Jimin chewed the wrap you fed him, a delighted look on his face.
"So cute, so cute," you sobbed, Jimin laughing and asking for more while his friend felt miserable at the two of yours antics.
"Why am I still here?Just to suffer."
Taehyung was pissed. For an entirely different thing too.
He stared fiercely at your chopsticks and his friend's which were holding down the leaves while you separated them, clearly waiting for you to notice him.
"You good, babe?" You asked amusedly, wondering what he was up to now.
"Not at all." He smiled dangerously. He turned to his friend.
"If your chopsticks meet theirs...I'll end our friendship."
"What?" You two gaped in unison at his words.
Taehyung huffed at you. "Don't you get it?"
He pouted when he received blank gazes in return.
"Indirect kiss!" He whined out as if it was the most obvious reason ever.
It was such a childish yet innocent reasoning it took everything within you to not laugh out loud or self combust at the serious look on his face .
"Okay, okay I'm sorry for not noticing. You can get all the direct kisses you want later." You surrendered, silently apologising to his friend who started crying internally when he received a smug look from Taehyung himself.
I just wanted a leaf-
Jungkook became really sulky. And weirdly imaginative.
He pulled you back when you leaned forward to help. "Wha-"
"No. You can't do it. Nope, nope, nope," he shook his head negatively, a pout on his lips.
You paused. "Um...wh-"
"The next thing you know you two will be holding hands, then you'll fall in love and then you'll get married! What about me?! Will I even be invited to this wedding?! I object!" He rambled emotionally.
You were really confused and concerned at this. "I'm just helping them, babe. Don't you trust me?"
"Of course I trust you. It's them who I don't trust." He gave the stinky eye to his friend who was baffled by the turn of events.
Your lips trembled in the effort to hold back your laugh at how cute he was being.
You instead flicked his forehead. "You watch too many k-dramas, Kook."
"Fine. Maybe I do. But it's better to be safe than sorry." He dramatically stood up and walked over to his friend's side who cowered at the large frame of the man-bunny.
You called out to him. "I'll make your wraps ready by the time you're done, okay?"
"Thanks, darling," he grinned happily towards you.
"Now, how would you like your perilla leaves to be?" He smiled sweetly at them, chopsticks in his hand and a threat lurking behind.
Summary: Where Yoongi has accepted the fact that he's in love with a pretty foreigner; you.
Bold means the person is talking in Korean. Part I is here

Yoongi closed his eyes, the rhythmic beats through his headphones lulling him to sleep as it blocked out the noise in the airplane.
He finally got a chance to visit his home back in South Korea.
He really did miss the country badly, most specifically the people, and after a hectic year in [university] he could finally see the sights heβs been longing for a while now.
His eyes jolt open when he feels the warmth in his hand slip away.
He looks over to see you flipping through the English-to-Korean book you had pulled away from him to open, mumbling the catchphrases anxiously under your breath.
He sighs fondly at the sight. Of course, it wasnβt truly a vacation if you werenβt there with him.
βSorry. Did I wake you up?β You looked up from your book, an apologetic smile on your face but it didnβt hide the brimming nervousness in your eyes.
βRelax,β he said softly. βItβs going to be fine.β
You sighed dramatically and setting down your book on your lap, you turned to face him.
Here it comes, he thought amusedly.
βYoongi, babe, honey, love of my life. Iβm going to be meeting your family for the first time ever. How can I possibly relax? First impressions are everything! And I have. to. make. them. love. me.β You hissed desperately, coming closer to his face at every emphasis of your words.
βYouβre being stupid.β He flicked your nose coolly, watching you shrink back to your seat in defeat.
βAnd youβre being mean,β you pouted childishly, going back to your book.
He huffed, paused the song and removing the headphones from his head, he muttered, βLook. If youβre worried about my family not liking you because youβre from a different country justβ¦donβt. The fact that youβve put so much effort into learning my language and culture is good enough for anyone.β
Placing the headphones on your ears while choosing the song he knew you loved to sing along with, he continued, his eyes darting away from yours. βYouβll do great.β
You swear you melted right on the spot there. There was no way he could get away by being the most precious human alive.
Beaming at his gesture, you squeezed his arm in appreciation showering him with a little affection. βAw! My boyfriend is so sweet!β
βWeβre in public!β He hissed through his teeth, his face dyeing itself red and quickly looked away to the window to avoid seeing you laugh at his reaction.
It never gets old, you sighed fondly, pecking his cheek before he hid away his face behind his hand.
It seemed like yesterday when he passed out in your arms after confessing to you, the taste of whiskey still lingering on your lips and the way he couldnβt bring himself to meet your teasing eyes the next morning, pretending to remain asleep in your bed when you approached him.
You still remember the way he tried to hide his excitement as he left your apartment that morning, flushed in the cheeks with a promise of a date from your side.
And now after a year, you were going to his hometown to meet the boys and his family during spring break and you couldnβt sit still at the idea of finally meeting them. Obviously, insecurities plagued your mind but you were prepared to handle things and of course - as you looked over to a sleeping Yoongi - he was there to support you.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
βHyung! Youβre finally here along with [name]!β The youngest trio and Hoseok glomped Yoongi when they arrived at his place; leaving him startled with the warm welcome while you just laughed at their antics, lugging your suitcase from the taxi.
You were familiar with the boys since you had met them in multiple video calls with Yoongi, a proud grin on your boyfriendβs face that he denied he had on as he introduced you to them for the first time.
You surprisingly got along with them despite the language barrier but you were determined to overcome it and they were patient enough to help you through it.
They were equally as eager to learn English from you which cued an offended Namjoon because they would never be this eager to learn English from him. It was honestly an adorable sight to Yoongi watching you and the boys exchange broken Korean and English.
On spotting him, you hugged Namjoon tightly; your pen pal did deserve one after meeting him in person for the first time in years which the bookworm shyly returned.
On seeing that the remaining boys whined for a hug from you too; wiggling their eyebrows mischievously at Yoongi who rolled his eyes in response.
The giggles and chuckles died down as another person arrived. An elderly woman walked up to you and you felt your mouth dry at the realisation of who she is.
Deep breaths, [name]. You reminded yourself as you quickly wiped off your sweaty palms on your clothes.
βHello Mrs. Min. My name is [l.name] [name]. Itβs nice to finally meet you.β You bowed, your eyes looking at Yoongi expectantly wondering whether you did it right even though you had practised it a million times in front of him and the boys before.
βYou picked a cute one.β His mom laughed, breaking the silence, her words at which Yoongi smugly smirked at, enjoying the way you stammered at her response. It wasnβt very often the cheeky you were left speechless.
βThank you for taking care of my shit son,β she continued pleasantly, flashing the same gummy smile you adored on Yoongi.
You blinked twice, a nervous chuckle slipping out of your lips, locking eyes with Yoongi again for confirmation if you heard that right. βY-Yes?β
To your surprise, Yoongi merely scoffed, a fond grin playing on his lips and sarcasm evident in his tone. βThanks, mom.β
Was this some secret code for I-missed-you-very-much in the Min family? You thought in wonder and as if sensing your thoughts Jin wisely nodded his head at you.
She ushered the both of you in, briefly mentioning the layout of the house for you and guided you along, Yoongi lagging behind.
You both had to stay in separate rooms though; Yoongi yelling out a βDonβt start!β in embarrassment when his mom commented on not being particularly eager at the thought of people being happier than her in her own house while you snickered at his misfortune; definitely not as embarrassed as him because you were too busy mourning the loss of a body pillow.
You met his dad and older brother during dinner.
His brother was the complete opposite of him who practically radiated happiness and good vibes but his dad was a bit apprehensive of you, his eyes narrowing when you greeted him which didnβt help your anxiety at all, although he did give you a small nod of approval when you handed him an expensive bottle of wine you knew you wouldnβt get in South Korea.
You grinned in triumph and stuck your tongue out at Yoongi who had previously chastised you for buying it when he found out about it.
βBribery wins.β You patted his cheek playfully as a goodbye before skipping happily to your room to get some well-deserved sleep.
βIdiot.β
βI heard that!β
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
The vacation was going pretty well, you thought to yourself as the days passed getting closer to the Min family and the boys.
You got to see and learn more about Yoongi, visiting his memory beholden places and feeling quite honoured to be accepted by all of them. It was like one big chaotic family.
And now it was coming close to an end as the next semester would start pretty soon, you thought dejectedly as you finished folding your laundry into your suitcases before heading outside the house.
You were going to miss all of them so terribly, you frowned.
You were shaken out of your thoughts when a car honked at you.
Today you were supposed to go see the 83 tower Yoongi promised he would take you to.
βWhere are the boys?β You asked as you sat in the passenger seat, buckling your seatbelt. They always tagged along for the sightseeing trips.
βAway,β Yoongi grumbled. βTheyβve been hogging you for too long.β
βCanβt even get you alone at home because youβve charmed everyone there too. To the point where theyβll pick you over me.β He continued, shaking his head in mock disappointment.
You laughed at that. βMy plan worked. That was the intention all along.β
βYou think itβs funny?β He raised his eyebrows comically, still acting offended.
βDonβt worry, babe. Iβll pick you over anyone anytime.β You kissed his hand that was entangled with yours.
βSee! There it is! Witchcraft, Iβm telling you.β He managed to choke out after that charming action from your side while you sniggered in the background.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
Seomun market is as crowded as ever, Yoongi dryly thought as he tightened his hold on you, leading you through the throngs of people while you glanced around everywhere with wide curious eyes.
You both didnβt waste any time browsing around or shopping since you had been here with the boys before.
(There was an incident that had happened later that day where Jimin, Hoseok and you almost got recruited by a cult but no one mentioned about it again since Yoongi and the other boys didnβt find it as funny as you three did. Good times, you three reminisced nostalgically.)
But instead went straight ahead to the street food which you had missedβ¦due to some incident.
You tremendously enjoyed eating hotteok and tteokbokki as you moved around the market, Yoongi pouting silently that he could make the same thing for you back at his apartment even better as you continued gushing praise over the food.
You sighed in content as you watched the breathtaking view of the city below from the 83 Tower, a quiet silence enveloping the two of you but comforting nonetheless.
You took a pretty picture of Yoongi against the view and set it as your new wallpaper, much to his amusement as he teased you over it. βYou like me that much, huh?β
βBoy, donβt pretend you donβt have one of me as well.β That shut him up quickly.
Yoongi, who was resting his chin on your shoulder looking at your phone as the two of you browsed over the pictures taken over the vacation fondly, remarked quietly. βIβm glad youβre here with me.β
You whipped your head towards him in bewilderment, your hand wavering at the surprising words. Sentimental words came quite rarely from him and it always took you off-guard.
βI know itβs unexpected but I truly mean it. And yes, Iβm not drunk.β He muttered. βHonestly, I am happy that youβre accepted by my family. But you know what? Even if they didnβt like you I still wouldnβt care because Iβm not ever letting you go. You make me a selfish man, [name].β
That dangerous smile of his made your heart pound faster and you bit the inner side of your cheek.
βI love you.β
You let out a sigh in defeat, a soft smile on your face. βYou really do love taking the last word donβt you, Min Yoongi?β
He gave you a lazy grin at that.
βI love you too.β
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
There was always a certain softness in the both of you whenever the two of you were together, Namjoon had noted as he set up the tables for the barbecue party. That sight always gave a gushy feeling to Namjoonβs heart.
The boys really did love you; the main reason being at how content Yoongi seemed to be around you and that was really enough for them. The fact that you always made room for them too, knowing how important they are to Yoongi always warmed their hearts too.
Namjoon vividly remembered the time you eagerly face-timed him to inform him about the new development in your relationship with Yoongi; the acclaimed man groaning in the background, clearly embarrassed as you excitedly rambled on.
βI got a boyfriend and you donβt!β You exclaimed.
This promptly led to Namjoon choking on his coffee at the revelation.
βYou look happier,β he commented, making his presence known to Yoongi who was sitting in his chair, the expensive wine in his hand, gazing at you dancing with the boys and his mom who was clearly affected with the wine.
Yoongi hummed in affirmation, nonchalantly taking a sip of his drink.
βShouldnβt I get some credit as a matchmaker then?β Namjoon smirked slyly at him, a glint in his eyes so similar to yours that left the older one shaking his head in resignation.
βWhatever, kid.β
But he couldnβt hide the growing smile on his face when you fell into his lap laughing from the high of dancing to pull him closer to you, nuzzling your face against his.
This is home, he thought peacefully, securing his hold on you. And he wouldnβt trade this for anything in the world.
(idk if this is exactly what people wanted for a part II but hope you enjoyed)

Summary: Where you and Jin have been dating for a while and when winter comes, the routine follows.

Ice skating was not your forte.
Last year like always you didnβt manage to make it past the rink; comfortable enough to hang in the sidelines while taking pictures of everything surrounding you especially focusing the camera on your special someone.
But this year with much persuasion from your charming boyfriend you were here again; clinging desperately to the railings of the rink, your feet wobbling unsteadily like a newborn calf as you cried dramatically.
βI was completely fine fawning over you at the sides! Look at me now! Everybodyβs judging me! I can feel it!β
Jin chuckled fondly at your behaviour before giving you a teasing smile. βNobody is looking at you. Theyβre all looking at me and my beautiful face.β
You attempted to kick him for that comment but immediately withdrew your foot in fear of falling.
Jin shook his head disappointingly. βCome on now. Do you think I find it enjoyable skating all alone amongst those lovey-dovey couples? I need my partner too to shove it in their faces.β
He skated a few feet away from you and gestured you to come towards him. βItβs going to be fine. Just focus and glide towards me from one foot to another.β
You shakily let go of the railings and moved towards him slowly.
Your face lightened up at your extremely slow progress. Iβm doing it! Iβm really doing it!
Apparently your excitement was short livened for as soon as you took another step, you slipped and fell down on your back, the wind knocked out of your chest.
The familiar peals of laughter from his side made you paralysed on the ice, too embarrassed to even get up and face him.
βStop laughing you bastard and help me up. My body has shut down because of the pure humiliation,β you muttered which only cued more laughter from him.
Once he had calmed down thinking he had tortured you enough, he lifted you up and placed your hands on his broad shoulders for support.
You turned away from him when you caught the teasing expression on his face.
βDarling, donβt be mad,β He cooed before tightening his hold on your waist. βNext time I promise I wonβt let you fall.β
βGood,β you nodded approvingly while ignoring the heat creeping onto your face.
Your gloved hands were grasped in his as he led you along the rink, mumbling small praises here and there as he corrected your form.
You felt your anxiety dissipate slowly; finding yourself drowning in his presence as if the world around you didnβt exist at that moment. It was just you and him and the warmth you both shared in the chilly breeze.
You smiled as you both completed a successful round together in the rink hand in hand just like the other couples.
βAre you ready to do it on your own now?β Jin asked gently, observing the features on your face.
βHell no,β you declared pulling him closer to you.
βReally? Youβre kind of crushing me with that monstrous strength of your hand, darling,β he teased, grunting when you jabbed his side in response.
But Jin would never say that he was secretly pleased that you did not let go of him the whole time even after being perfectly capable of skating on your own.

Decorating the tree was [name]βs job while watching and munching on cookies was Jinβs job.
Heβd help you if you would ask him to and give you pointers if you needed them but he knew that you were particular about how the tree looked and the frantic 'aesthetics' that you whispered to yourself as you hung the tinsel proved it to him from the first time you both had celebrated Christmas together.
After watching you cutely whisper an βaestheticβ again he went up to the kitchen to start making the traditional hotpot youβd both make and enjoy with the guys.
You trudged up to him, glitter in your hair and a satisfied smirk on your face. You lifted your thumb at him and declared. βAesthetic tree completed.β
βCongrats. Now chop chop, the guys will be here any moment.β
He shooed you towards the huge pile of vegetables and seafood waiting for you to be cut (the meat separated for Namjoon) while you groaned about always being on cutting duty.
βItβs hotpot [name]. There isnβt much to do to make it.β
The glasses of soju clinked against each other in the evening as you all enjoyed the meal with you babying Jungkook with more food since he was the youngest, the two of you sending a disgruntled Jin a few cheeky grins at your actions.
This often led to complaints from your pouty boyfriend who would refuse to eat unless you paid attention to him, much to the embarrassment of his younger brothers.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
The day before Christmas Eve you both would go to his parentsβ house.
It was an agreement you both had formed. Christmas at his and New Yearβs at yours.
The car ride was filled with music and snacking and Jinβs infamous rap of Loner by Outsider.
You were gasping for air by the end of it, passionately clapping when he was done seemingly out of breath too, hiding his pleased grin at the sound of your laughter.
When you both arrived at his hometown, he treated his overjoyed parents with a big hug and you smushed in between them as the four of you exchanged warm greetings with his mother pulling your cheeks playfully.
Jinβs parents chided the both of you when you gave them their wrapped gifts during dinner although they were elated; your chest puffing up in pride when they complimented the choice of gifts while Jin playfully rolled his eyes at you.
In the winter sunshine of the next day, he grabbed your hand as you both trekked up the hill, your breaths being visible in the cold- to pray to the hidden deity there which was recommended by his parents to add to your winter tradition.
You tightened the scarf around your neck and adjusted the beanie on his head to cover his ears as you walked, going down on your knees to pray once you reached your destination.
A peaceful silence enveloped the two of you and you prayed for more moments like this with your lover and wished him good health and prosperity before praying for your other loved ones.
Jin smiled at the concentrated look on your face as you prayed and thanked the deity for giving him someone wonderful like you and hoped that you'd both live a long life together.
The two of you head up to his uncleβs strawberry farm after that invigorating experience of quiet and calm. You had good memories of that place.
You rubbed your hands together for heat and sternly said to the person creeping up behind you. βDonβt do it.β
βI wasnβt going to do anything!β He whined, hiding his bare hands behind him, his gloves hastily shoved inside his coat.
You gave him an unamused look at his words. βHoney, I've known you for a long time now. You canβt fool me this time. So donβt do it.β
βI wonβt,β he promised sincerely.
βYou will,β you commented dryly, turning your back at him.
βI wonβt,β he insisted.
βYou will.β
βI wonβt.β
βYou will.β
βFine I will.β He squeezed your warm bare neck with his freezing hands before shooting ahead of you to avoid your wrath.
βYou ass!β you yelled at him, running after him as he laughed hysterically at his work, narrowly dodging the shoe thrown at him.
You were out of breath by the time you reached the farm, aiming a fierce kick on his butt when you came up behind him and he bonked your head for that action, the two of you continuing to squabble among each other.
You began plucking a few strawberries, biting into it and humming in delight when its sweet and tangy taste exploded in your mouth.
Sometimes you would catch him off guard by biting his plump lips whenever youβd both kiss and when you would pull apart youβd smirk at him claiming itβs tastier than a strawberry which never failed to fluster him.
Sometimes you would also flick the strawberries into Jinβs mouth and watch his cool and competitive self catch them all, a triumphant red stained grin adorning his face which always made you laugh.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
You make it back home with the backseat of the car filled with strawberries and other homemade goodies made by Mama Kim who insists you on calling her mom.
On the night of Christmas Eve when it was time to go to bed, like almost all your other nights Jin would play games on his computer and youβd rest on his lap, your eyes drooping a little. But on some nights youβd feel fired up and competitive and join him no matter how bad you were compared to him just to make him go to bed after losing.
Christmas morning, Jin made you wear the ugly matching Christmas couple sweaters heβd always buy beforehand and pretended not to notice your look of horror.
But youβd still wear it without complain because the cute little wink heβd give you once you come out wearing it and the proud content face he puts on was worth it.
You donβt have high expectations when it comes to gifts from Jin as you happily accepted his offer to a dinner tonight.
Usually heβs indecisive on what to buy for you in fear if you hate it so he would give you gift cards or money or plan an activity which you would enjoy. You had once jokingly called him your sugar daddy for that and he refused to look at you for two days.
Once on your pestering he had given you a scarf which he had knitted for the first time and though it looked like a lump of cloth you still wore it every Christmas so you would continue pestering him telling that whatever he gets for you, youβd still cherish it.
Youβre on the edge of your toes as Jin unwraps his present, his eyes widening in surprise. βA new gaming console?!β
βTada!β You sang happily.
βI love it,β he mumbled, his ears turning red as he fiddled with the buttons.
βWhat? I donβt think I heard what you said.β You teased him, placing your hand to your ear.
βI said I love it,β he mumbled again, getting more flustered on being the other hand of the usual banter.
βWhaaat?β You exaggerated, feeling like an obnoxious brat and snickered at his frustrated face.
βI said I love it damn it!β He roared, turning red in the face.
You straightened up that. βOh. You shouldβve just said so.β
And you broke into laughter at the offended look on his face and yelped as he pounced on you, rambling angrily and trying to tickle you at the same time.

βIs this really necessary?β You drawled out boredly, a small scowl on your face as you ignored the pointed look sent to you from your club leader.
You couldβve been wrapped up in your blankets cuddling your boyfriend on your bed while wearing his hoodie but no.
You were called by your neurotic club leader to take revenge on the Hip Hop Club for their last prank on your clubβ an almost daily occurrence since the rivalry between your Contemporary Dance Club and the former club had begun before you had even entered the academy.
While you had to admit pranking was fun, it wasnβt fun for you to sabotage other peopleβs passion including yours for immature reasons.
You sighed as you watched your club leader -a person who withholds the utmost respect and authority- let out an unholy screech followed by the rest of your members to wreak havoc on the Hip Hop Clubβs rehearsal with the help of water balloons.
You met the eyes of a drenched and astonished Jung Hoseok and looked away immediately not to see the kicked puppy expression on his face.
You took your water balloon and aimed it at the back of your cackling club leaderβs head, feeling immensely satisfied when you watched them shriek and slip face first on the ground before fleeing away from sight.
But your satisfaction wasnβt for long since you had to mop up the stage with the rest of your members who were equally in a bad mood for getting a punishment for their earlier antics.
I didnβt even do anything! You cried inside while maintaining a poker face on the surface, not wanting to show any discomfort to the snickering Hip Hop Club who were greatly amused by the scene.
You felt a stare on your body and you looked up, locking eyes with Hoseok again who looked sorry for you.
You scanned around to see if any of your members were looking at you and when found none, you shot a flirty wink at him.
You turned away from him when you heard him choke on air to hide the growing grin on your face.
You could imagine him panicking at the thought whether someone saw the two of you; his ears dyeing itself red and how heβd be unable to keep down that heart shaped smile at your familiar antics.
You knew him that well; after all your boyfriend was someone very special to you.
βDid you just wink at the prodigy of the Hip Hop Club?β A curious younger member asked you.
Your eyebrows twitched at their words. βNo, itβs just your silly imagination. Keep mopping.β
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
βYo, leader!β You called out to your paranoid leader, not following the other members to the changing room to leave after practice. βIβm going to stay behind for extra practice. I hope you donβt mind that.β
The paranoia momentarily left your leaderβs face as determination flooded in. βThatβs the spirit [name]! Iβm happy to see youβre not slacking off on your duty as the prodigy of our club! Weβll crush those vermin together with your talent! Go on, go on! I wonβt stop you.β
You grimaced at their enthusiasm but nonetheless grateful that you donβt have to deal with them any longer and shooting a quick text to someone, you commented. βYouβre too loud, leader.β
It wasnβt long before you rushed into his outstretched arms the moment he bounced inside the room and sighed in happiness as the familiar comforting smell of fresh laundry hit you.
βIβm going to go crazy Hobi if I spend another minute entangled in this stupid rivalry. I would have lost it ages ago if you werenβt here.β Your voice muffled against him and his chest shook with laughter.
He rubbed your back soothingly, and kissing your forehead he cutely whispered to you, βJust a little while longer and things will be alright, dear.β
You groaned and looked at his face as the memory of last summer flooded your mind.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
Your hands felt sticky from the ice pop juice that was dripping from the stick but you didnβt let that ruin the moment you were sharing with him; lying down besides each other on the grassy land with the blue sky above you two.
βI want the rivalry to end.β He declared softly, his eyes fixed on the clouds.
You hummed teasingly at him, propping yourself up on your elbow while looking down at him. βLooks like the great Jung Hoseok has also had enough, huh?β
He grinned at that. βLooks like it. But if it werenβt for you I would have tolerated it till graduation.β
You tilted your head at him. βWhat do you mean?β
His face darkened a bit. βThat incident that happened before. I donβt want it to happen again.β
You nodded understandingly, also feeling a little bit guilty. βI know. I already apologised to you. I didnβt think they would take my suggestion seriously.β
The incident you were thinking about was when you had offhandedly suggested that your club should let loose some bees in the Hip Hop club room as a joke since the others were pressurising you to take part in the bloodthirsty discussion.
In the heat of the moment, you had momentarily forgotten that your boyfriend was terribly afraid of insects and the high pitched scream from the Hip Hop club room later that day confirmed your nightmare.
βNot that!β He pouted and mumbled later on, βEven though that wasnβt really appreciated.β
βOh,β you finally realised what he was talking about and your mood turned sombre too.
A few days back you were waiting for Hoseok after his practice so you both could catch the train together but unfortunately you were caught by a few younger members of the Hip Hop Club.
They were highly offensive when they saw a modern dance student close to their turf and to follow the steps of their elders, berated you. You had ignored their taunts but were taken off-guard when one of them tugged your collar.
It was one of the rare times where you saw Hoseok completely furious who had come at the place at the right time.
You shivered at the memory and hoped you wouldnβt see your sunshine so upset like that ever again.
βHow would you end it?β You asked him, interested in his thoughts.
βYou and me. Dance collaboration. The best of hip hop and modern dance,β he announced firmly, waving his hands to emphasise his point.
You let out a laugh in disbelief. βInteresting notion, Mr. Jung. Do you really believe a collaboration will bring this irrational feud to an end?β
He finally met your eyes and smiled sweetly at you, your heart skipping a beat at the sight. βItβs us. Iβve got hope.β
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
Hoseok watched you as you unravelled the bandages on your sore feet, another tiresome evening of your rehearsal for the secret collaboration had ended late again since you both wanted to perfect everything; hooking your hands together and walking away.
You grinned at him with slight exhaustion and leaned against him as you both browsed around the shopping mall for clothes you both were going to perform in with Hoseokβs self-made background noises accompanying the comforting silence.
His eyes lit up at the various stuff in the shop.
βNo unnecessary spending, Hoseok,β you warned him clearly familiar with his habits.
βBut,β he pouted at you knowing you would succumb to his looks. It wasnβt fair but he wanted to spoil you and hang around with you as long as possible without meddlesome club mates and crazy leaders.
He whooped in happiness when you reluctantly agreed and stood outside the dressing room for you after handing you his selections.
When the collaboration is finally done and he can reveal that you were his; maybe that club member of yours whose hands linger around your body longer than they should during partnering routines would take a hint instead of Hoseok glaring from afar unable to do anything because you were oblivious to other peopleβs interest in you when you had your eyes only for him.
He would be free to interact with you in classes, sit with you and partner up for assignments, for as much as fun passing secret notes was, your presence was even more scintillating.
He would cheer loudly for you in the crowd whenever you perform and brag about you when you were done and support you because once the adrenaline wears off you always felt weak in the knees.
Even though you preferred being the quiet one in your relationship, heβd be there to hear every giggle or laugh under your breath and the smart comments you wisely choose to keep to yourself and the little compliments you would give him when no oneβs listening once heβs finally close to you.
He was whipped for you and he was proud of it too.
Hoseok was shaken out of his daydreams when you stepped out of the dressing room, your face looking a little shy as you waited for his opinion.
He chuckled fondly at your shyness.
He found it very endearing when you would find secret ways to flirt with him around everyone knowing it would fluster him but when it was just the two of you, your boldness would just disappear under his gaze.
βBeautiful,β he cooed happily. βI canβt take my eyes of you.β
βGreat,β you grumbled feeling your cheeks burn at his words.
Your eyes widened when you saw someone behind a cheering Hoseok and hastily grabbed him inside the dressing room, covering his mouth when he yelped.
βShush! Look carefully,β you whispered urgently to him and you both peeked out of the door.
There they were β your two club leaders giggling and hugging each other lovingly.
You felt like you were going to be sick the more you watched them act lovey-dovey towards each other. They really had everyone fooled.
βWhere are we?β Hoseok whispered in awe.
βHell,β you helpfully provided, your face scrunching in disgust, wanting to delete your existence as they fed each other sickly sweet compliments.
βItβs too bad this rivalry is keeping us apart my darling,β the usually stoic hip hop leader mused.
Hoseok snorted out loud at that and covered his mouth immediately when you shot him a look.
βDonβt worry my love just a few more months till we graduate and weβll be free from this feud.β Your club leader said dramatically.
βAnd I thought we were Romeo and Juliet,β Hoseok muttered amusedly.
βWe are so not them,β you argued.
Few seconds later you realised, βLooks like this collaboration will really work.β
At that you both shared excited grins.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
On the day of the reveal you held in your laugh as your club passed by the Hip Hop Club; the sneers the leaders sent to each other were highly amusing to you.
Just as the group passed by you, you pulled back Hoseokβs shirt and swiftly kissed him on the lips.
βGood luck,β you smirked at his gaping face and rushed to get ready, wearing the clothes he had brought for you.
The moment you both entered the stage there was a hushed silence with a few dramatic gasps you were pretty sure was from your club leader.
The next few moments seemed surreal to you where you both were performing in front of the whole school under the pretence that a legendary dance battle was going to take place to settle the rivalry once and for all.
The music made your bodies move on its own; the two of you incorporating the best of each other and you could feel the adrenaline run through your veins and your beating heart, your eyes never leaving each otherβs.
With sweat running down your bodies, you did the final move, running towards him and leaping with a gentle twist only to land safely in his arms, his hold secure and comforting to you than any dance partner you ever had, completing the story you both wanted to perform.
The crowdβs cheers broke you from the trance you were in and you both laughed in relief, your foreheads pressed against each otherβs while trying to calm yourselves, the heavy breaths filling your ears.
Rivalry was pointless to declare when you both would never even think about leaving each otherβs side, no matter what.
Summary: Where Yoongi has to deal with the fact that he's in love with a pretty foreigner; you.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
Reasons why Min Yoongi "hates" you:
#1. You are very determined.
Moving to a country that wasn't his own for his further academics bothered Yoongi for many reasons.
The language, the culture, the food and the people were his main reasons; primarily the people.
He knew he had to prepare himself to take in the racist remarks and cruel jokes that would be thrown at him. He had already decided that he wouldn't want to do anything with the students there and just wait till the entire experience was over like a really long bad dream.
The moment he had stepped inside the campus, people were whispering about him since he stuck out like a sore thumb from his looks to his thick accent whenever he spoke English.
You had come up to him and offered to give him a tour of the campus and he had reluctantly agreed to it but soon found the tour enjoyable since you gave him important tips that only students would know.
At the end of the tour he finally said, "This does not make us friends."
You only raised an eyebrow at that and grinned at him. "We'll see."
Those words sent tingles down his spine but he kept on a neutral face.
The next day Yoongi saw you, you waved at him happily but he ignored you.
Do this for a few more days and they will leave you alone. He told himself.
That was a terrible mistake actually from his side.
You still persisted day after day, inviting him for food and helping him with his notes when he was too tired to copy them down.
What irritated him the most was that you respected his boundaries so you would usually keep silent if he was working on something and only smile at him cheerily if he looked at you, even going away if he told you to.
The day he finally accepted your lunch invite was only the beginning of this torture for him.
#2. You loved to tease him.
"Hey sexy," you greeted him and he grunted in irritation as a reply. "Don't call me sexy."
Three months had passed and you were still here.
"But it's true." You would always reply back whenever you called him something endearing.
And you had the audacity to look completely innocent and serious when you'd say that, he scoffed as he remembered, fiddling with a piano note.
Few weeks later, you were flopped on the floor in an uncomfortable position whining about how you wanted a pet after seeing Yoongi's dog Holly and immediately falling in love with her.
"Then get one," he drawled out boredly, hiding the twitch in his lips as he watched Holly climb on top of your motionless body as you entertained her.
You abruptly shot up, holding Holly protectively towards you, a determined look on your face. "You know what? I will!"
Handing him his dog back you left his apartment in a rush, tapping on your GPS for the nearest pet store.
"They really left." He blinked in surprise.
Later that day he opened his apartment door only to be baffled by the sight of you holding a sleeping snowy white cat in your arms; an excited look on your face.
"What in the-"
"I got a cat!"
"Yes I can see that but-"
"I'm naming him after you!"
"Huh?!"
You laughed at his enraged face. "Yes his name will now be Yoon-Yoon."
Yoongi was speechless at this development. He found himself feeling strangely anxious when he saw that knowing grin on your face.
"Don't worry, you'll always be my 'lil meow meow'." You teased him, referring to his cat like behaviour before going away leaving him standing at his doorway all alone.
"Curse you." He grumbled to himself in his mother tongue, feeling his ears getting warm.
#3. You were too nice.
It was a peaceful afternoon and you both were hanging out in the empty basketball court.
You cheered every time he got a point which embarrassed him, knowing you were purposely doing it to get a rise out of him.
You quieted down as you stared at him for a while, admiring his form.
"Do you miss home?"
Your sudden question made him falter in his footing and he turned his back on you, bouncing the ball. "What's with the sappy question?"
"So you do," you commented bluntly, reading him like a book which annoyed him further.
You offered him a water bottle and a towel when he finished, opting to clasp his hand with yours, which made him sigh in resignation but silently tightened his hold on you.
Two days later after the basketball incident he found a box waiting for him outside.
'Home is somewhat here :)' you had written on it which made his heart skip a beat.
He opened it only to find home cooked jajangmyeon made by you and packaged snacks which he used to enjoy back in Korea.
Sappy, he dryly thought in his mind.
He felt his eyes moisten at the familiar taste of home as he ate the jajangmyeon.
"So sappy," he muttered, a warm feeling encasing his body.
#4. You gave him butterflies.
Every tease, every compliment, every action, every word that you took from him left him feeling breathless and red in the face, stumbling over his words.
He had a reputation for god's sake for being quick-witted and savage and for always taking the last word at the end of the day to shut people up!
But then there was you. Always after him since the first time you met each other, attending every recital and basketball game to always make sure to cheer the loudest, holding his hand in a crowded room and taking over the conversation when he was too tired to speak English.
He also knew you were the one who TP-d that bully's dorm and scratched their car when they made racist remarks against him.
He felt like he was going to be sick with the butterflies in his stomach every time you came near him.
He had to get rid of it, he decided as he downed his fifth glass of alcohol.
You were starting to feel like home and Yoongi wasn't going to let you get away with that crime without you facing the repercussions for causing this.

Reasons [name] [l.name] loves Yoongi:
There were a lot actually.
When your pen pal Namjoon said his hyung was coming to [country] where you were currently residing, you were a bit wary.
According to the plant lover, Min Yoongi was a force to be reckoned with and that you shouldn't judge him by his looks.
He didn't like to socialise and took some time to open up around strangers which you could relate to. You were new to the place too having enrolled a week earlier than Yoongi.
Namjoon said he wanted you to check over Yoongi to make sure he's living comfortably since the man doesn't take proper care of himself. You couldn't refuse since it would not look good from your side and besides your friend had entrusted you with something important and you couldn't let him down.
The first time you saw Yoongi, you cursed Namjoon.
"You didn't tell me he was attractive! You know I can't talk to attractive people!"
He only laughed at you, pretending to barf when you continued to talk to him about his hyung's looks.
You gathered your emotions and offered a tour to the stoic boy who -to your relief- accepted it.
You pointed out the shortcuts on how to get to class faster if he was late (by sleeping in class as you had caught him dozing off during a lecture), spots to avoid if he didn't want to run into horny couples (you had some unfortunate confrontations which you didn't want to speak of, earning a rare gummy smile from him which made you malfunction) and some quiet places to enjoy (he literally put on his headphones when a professor was being too loud which impressed you).
He was very determined to avoid you and other people after that day which you found amusing.
You had cracked up when he straight up pretended to not know English when a couple of girls went up to him.
"Sorry. No speak-eu English-eu." He said heavily emphasising on the accent as you died at the side.
As you both got closer, you understood what Namjoon meant when he said Yoongi was a force to be reckoned with.
He could talk on random topics for hours and be the loudest in the room if he felt like it.
From first appearance you'd think he's a cold person but he had a heart of gold.
He loves his little tangerines and his dog and he'd always speak fondly about the guys back home and would get flustered when he realises that he had revealed too much.
He would blush so easily at the slightest amount of affection you'd give him and when you'd stop he'd stare at you silently with a tiny pout on his lips which you were sure he doesn't realise he has on.
He would listen to whatever you had to say whether it had little importance or not.
He would join you in your late night escapades with no complaints, a small smile on his face as you'd both drive down to the lake with the radio turned up singing/screaming out the lyrics or have a drinking contest and he'd take you back home since he had a higher tolerance than you or have a movie marathon while stuffing junk food in your faces, pretending not to cry at the sad scenes.
But you knew your feelings would never be returned because you knew he'd be much happier with someone from his own country and culture and speaks the language he knows best.
It was originally for Namjoon's sake but now you wanted to be there for him for your own selfish intentions to keep him close to you.
You stroked Yoon-Yoon's fur absentmindedly.
Until he decides to go back home... I'll be here for him.
The sudden knock on your door made you jump in surprise from your depressive thoughts.
"Yoongi?" You were confused by his appearance, your nose picking up the smell of alcohol from him.
"Have you been drinking? Without me?" You joked, your heart beat quickening when he remained quiet, his eyes boring into you.
"You. You better stop it okay? I don't like what you're doing to me. It's making me sick." He growled at you in Korean.
"Uh...honey I didn't understand a single word you just said right now."
"I said stop it! You with your intoxicating presence and pretty face! You can't call me a bunch of gross nicknames and give me a bunch of gross compliments and not expect me to melt! The conclusion I'm coming to realiseΒ after saying this out loud is scaring me a bit but I'm not going to back out now. I don't care what other people might say."
"Uh...I no speak-eu Korean?"
"Fuck it." He mumbled and smashed his lips onto yours catching you off guard as the taste of alcohol hit you.
"I fucking love you, you idiot." He mumbled against your face before passing out in your arms.
"How cute. He finally took the last word."
You couldn't help but smile like an idiot at the turn of events, feeling immensely euphoric.

Namjoon was used to the pale walls and the distinct smell of a hospital from a young age to treat those bruises on his body from his infamous clumsiness. He never imagined that his clumsiness would hit the height where he would injure another person and end up being the one least affected.
Especially not when the person he had injured was someone he was admiring for a long time.
He fiddled with his fingers as he waited for the staff to give him an update on your condition. The feeling of embarrassment and immense guilt stuck to him like glue.
They're definitely going to hate me after this, he groaned to himself. His chances of going out with you would be a permanent zero now.
The staff smiled at him sympathetically. "It's okay. It's just some bruised ribs. You can go inside now."
Bruised ribs?!
Namjoon felt his soul leave his body and shakily grasped the handle of your door's room and swung it open.
He felt his breath get stolen from him when you flashed him a cheeky grin at his appearance and the months' memories seemed to flow through him at the moment.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
It was a six months and three days ago when he first met you. Well, he didn't speak to you directly but merely glanced at you from the corner of his eyes when he entered the library.
There you were, cocooned at the corner of the room with your legs folded on a beanbag, your head buried in a book.
Kafka on the Shore, he recalled. That was a good read.
The next time he saw you was again at the library, curled up with another book at the same spot. This time he observed you a little more as he trudged up to an empty table, a book in his hand.
His cheeks flushed a little when he saw your nose scrunch at a part and your lips twitching into a sweet smile as you read along.
Cute, he thought goofily.
He slapped himself when the thought processed in his mind. He was here to read, not stare at someone like a creep.
Apparently that loud action caused a little stir in the quiet area making you blink in confusion as if waking up from a dream and smiled at him sympathetically when the others glared at him for the interruption.
The mortification he felt that day didn't escape his mind for days.
You continued to linger in his mind for the rest of the days.
He would visit the library, catch a glimpse of you and sometimes read the books you had catered to the day before and found out that you and he had similar interests in books.
It was like a secret routine you both shared with each other once Namjoon caught on to what you were doing; leaving the books in your spot so he could read them while he did the same, sometimes sharing secret smiles as you both passed each other to leave.
And that was completely fine for him at that time.
The next time he visited the library he was pleasantly surprised to see that you were not in your regular spot but instead at the table which Namjoon usually frequented. He felt his palms sweat at the mere thought of initiating conversation with you but he reminded himself that a library is a place where conversation isn't usually welcomed and took a seat opposite from you.
You had a frown on your face as you scribbled in a notebook, papers strewn around you with some books open for reference. The familiar algorithms that were displayed on the page made sense to Namjoon.
By the unhappy look on your face he guessed that numbers was a subject that you didn't truly enjoy compared to literature.
He couldn't help himself when he uttered those words, feeling instant regret the moment they slipped out.
"Do you need help with that?"
Your head snapped up at those kind words, wondering if the heavens above finally answered to your prayers for help in advanced calculus.
There he was, the tall attractive bookworm that had caught your eye the moment he had slapped himself in the quiet. The one whose dimpled smiles and thought provoking recommendations made you feel at ease.
Your cheeks turned slight pink at the sight of him and you realised you had spaced out for some time as you heard the words come out of his mouth. "I mean, I'm sorry I didn't mean to impose or anything. I can leave you alone if you want me to."
"No, no, no. It's fine." You hastily squeaked out, your voice going a little high. "I would love your help."
An awkward silence ensued after that but you didn't want to waste your lucky chance of spending some time with him.
You rearranged your papers and eagerly thrust it towards his direction; feeling highly motivated to study and gave him a determined grin. "I'm ready to learn. Fire away."
He couldn't hold back his chuckles at that adorable expression.
He calmed himself down before clearing his throat and began explaining the subject, hoping you'd never hear the loud sound of his heartbeat.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
The cool breeze helped to calm down his blazing blush as he rode his bicycle downtown, apparently it being too dangerous for the world if he got his driving license according to Yoongi; not that he was wrong in his assumption.
Today, he was going to confess to you.
He couldn't hold it in any more. You were affecting his life more than he had expected you to do.
You were nothing like he had imagined you would be. Though you looked quiet and aloof from outside, getting to know you was thrilling.
He'd remember the playful winks you'd send him from between the bookshelves, the light brushes against his skin as you'd skim over a page or how you'd lean against him while taking out a book from a high shelf and the time you'd almost gotten them kicked out from the library when he laughed too hard at the dirty joke that he had never expected to slip out of your mouth.
Almost burning down the dorm because he was too dazed thinking about you while making a cup of a coffee led to Jin swearing a lot and knocking some sense into him, literally.
"If you like them so much then tell them you idiot! Don't put our lives in danger!"
But he was afraid. He enjoyed your company a lot and if you rejected him that would bring your friendship to an end and Namjoon wasn't sure how he would cope with that.
But he had to do it. If he kept quiet without even knowing that he had a chance would destroy him and he didn't need any more regrets.
"Hi Namjoon!" You chirped happily, waving your hand to catch his attention from outside the library.
He panicked at the sound of your voice, not expecting to reach his destination so soon and his hands careened the bicycle towards you like an instinct.
"Watch out!" He yelled desperately, knowing it was futile as his bicycle crashed into you, knocking you off your feet in the way you never expected.
ββ½ΰΌβΎβ
"Namjoon, are you going to stand there forever or will you come in?" You asked still grinning at him without a hint of anger on your face as you laid on the hospital bed.
"I-I am terribly sorry and I feel completely horrible for what I have done to you. If you don't want to hang out with me anymore I won't blame you," he said stiffly, his eyes stuck to the floor as he waited for your response.
He was startled by the sound of your laughter.
"You always say the most unexpected things. I really like that about you." You say as you wipe the tears from the corner of your eyes finding his baffled face even more amusing.
"You're not mad?" He asked tentatively, taking the seat closest to you.
You grab his hand and pat it lightly. "Do you want me to be mad at you?"
"No," he mumbled quietly, a small pout on his lips.
"Good. I don't want to be mad at you too. I think this is kind of cool though."
Namjoon gave you a stern look at that. "Bruised ribs (name). Bruised ribs."
You turned sheepish at that. "I know. But isn't this an interesting chapter to add in the story of us?"
"Story of us...?" Namjoon asked confusedly, his eyes boring into you.
You suddenly avert your eyes from him, feeling strangely anxious as you fiddle with his long fingers, tracing the palm lines.
"Well, the funny thing is I've liked you for a long time now... and I was thinking that maybe if we dated this could be a fun story to tell."
You coughed at the end of your sentence trying to fight off the rising blush on your face. "If you want to, I mean I am kind of manipulating you to say yes for a cool story but you know if you want to. It's alright if you say no. I'm all about consent you see-" you rambled on, your nerves spiking up at the silence that dragged on.
Namjoon couldn't hold back the grin forming on his face and he clutched your hand in reflex.
You looked up to him and your rambling was cut short as a pair of lips shut you up.
Your eyes widened at the bold action from his side and you felt like your whole body was on fire.
"I like you too," he said and smiled with those deep dimples which you loved.
"Great, that's great," you stuttered, rubbing your face to hide your relieved and elated expression. "But you will have to hold on to that first date until I'm done healing though."
