For once - and this was a rare thing indeed - Seymour was actually enjoying the destruction that came with watching Kefka work. Even Anima seemed to revel in the pain, which was unnatural for his mother. Maybe she fed more on the guado than he realized these days... Regardless; watching the firestorm rage around them, Seymour sidled up behind him and slipped his arms around the pale clown’s waist.

There was a soft growl as he took in the scent of smoke and blood mingling with the perfumes the other bathed in; not shy at all about nuzzling into the the others neck and nipping at the skin. “You are in rare form today...Care to let me in on the occasion?”

He’s glaring down at the knife sticking out of his chest. His eyes flash golden as his gaze switches to Seymour, looking like perhaps he’d expected a single knife to end everything. As he opens his mouth to speak, blood begins to drip out.

“Why?” Kefka growls, crimson staining ivory. Did the betrayal hurt? Perhaps. Thought it would have hurt more if he hadn’t anticipated it the entire time.

“HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID?!”

“Now that I have your attention...” He pulled the knife free, and was already healing the wound, not that he needed too. He didn’t like to see Kefka in pain, but it was sometimes the only way to wake him from his destructive dreams. “You’ve known me for long enough to answer that question yourself, my love.” His finger wiped the blood away from his scowl.

“How many times have I had to pull you back from the brink in such a way? I lose my will to indulge in your torturous urges and we bicker. One of us attacks and I am killed, only to return Yevon knows when to repeat this dance.” Seymour shook his head and stepped away, showing his extremities already becoming stone. The blade clattered unceremoniously to the floor.

“This time, I hoped it would be before the anger drive me to lose myself to the beast.” Dramatic as ever, he’d chosen to commit suicide by lovers quarrel. It seemed, just as most of his important plans, this one had failed as well.

It was strange. Everything was new and vibrant and...detached. He did not know he was a dead thing; nor that the woman before him was the cause of it. He only knew she was somehow beautiful and seemed...kind? Everything was a haze. Still, he approached her with the trust of a child.

“Excuse me...” He was shy to a fault, he found out, words escaping him almost immediately. “I, um...that is...Could you help me? I don’t seem to know where I am...” That was the least of his problems, but he worried for asking just who he was. He did not want to sound as though he were some dangerous Loon. How would he get help then?
