1:When did you get into art? 

I’ve been doodling since I was a kid and my mother actually encouraged it, so I guess when it comes to traditional art (pencils, paint, paper) I’ve been at it forever lol. Only got into digital art about 7 years ago though, I think. A friend who drew digitally encouraged me, otherwise I would’ve never pursued it because it seemed so different from what I’d been used to.

18: What is your purpose for drawing?

Hard one. To put it simply, the act of creation I guess. Even when I feel like I can’t draw or that I’ll never be satisfied with what I manage to draw, something in me just needs to put some ideas out there. Dunno if it’s very much of a stress relief, but I can sit down and draw for 8-12 hours (or used to before my arm started to protest) and the time would just fly away. It’s an odd state of mind, both single-minded awareness and almost trans-like state lol. (also validation from people who like my stuff lmao yes im that vain, but I like to think it is also because my experience with ‘fandom’ is that people share their common love for something through fanworks and seeing/interacting with fellow fans through those is such a good feeling, for me at least, that I’d like to be a part of it.)
