I've made multiple posts about SFW blogs and how I genuinely dislike them in the community due to their generally divisive nature, but I will say this: I am okay with SFW blogs following me (as long as you are an adult and do not fall under any of my DNIs).

What I will not tolerate is the slander of NSFW blogs. If you are an SFW blogger and have a "holier than thou" complex and think that you're better than NSFW bloggers but still like NSFW content and follow NSFW blogs, I think you're a hypocrite, and I despise hypocrites.

If you want to enjoy your NSFW privately that is one thing, but to openly and publicly speak badly about us but still enjoy our content is faulty logic and straight up diabolical. None of this "hate the sin, love the sinner" rhetoric, you either support us or you stay far away from us.

Oof, ngl it's kinda hard to decide whether or not to block this person who occasionally shows up in my notifs. Like they've reblogged a handful of things from radfem blogs but I just don't know if they're aware of it (bc oftentimes it's hard to see the dogwhistles if the post is focused on misogyny but personally I've become very alert to a variety of dogwhistles).

Idk, I'm not gonna share this person's URL publicly but I could use some advice. Like do I block, soft block, just let them be? Genuinely idk.

I think one of the reasons I can't bring myself to watch male tickling media (like gifs and videos, art is fine) is bc I find myself wanting to be the ler, especially if the ler is a woman or significantly smaller than the lee. If you are racist, I don't want you on my blog, either. When I say "intersectional feminism," I'm not just talking about trans women. I'm talking about women of color as well, especially trans women of color.

Support all your peers. Listen to people of color when they speak. Acknowledge when someone, especially a person of color, calls out your racist remarks. Understand that everyone can be and is prejudiced, and can have and does have bias. Working to unlearn racism and become an anti-racist involves acknowledging these prejudices and biases. You can't work on something you refuse to see.

You know what, I guess I feel like swinging at hornet nests this Pride, so I'm curious, and I may revamp this to make the next text bigger but:

I have seen multiple polls conducted to see how white Tumblr is. For the most part, these have been general polls for the whole of Tumblr. Part of me is curious to see the demographics for the Tumblr kink community/tickle community and see if the numbers match (I feel like I already know the answer).

I guess this is more of an interest "poll." If you guys would be interested in and would participate in a poll asking about your race (with the options being white, person of color, or mixed, at least for the first round) can you interact with this poll in someway? I'd appreciate if you could like/comment and reblog so we can get some reach. If this post gets enough attention, maybe I'll go about creating the poll.

(I still consider myself a fairly small blog in this community in that my posts don't usually receive a lot of attention unless/until they're reblogged by a bigger blog, usually an art blog, so if there are any other people of color in this community who get steady interactions with their posts who would be willing to partner up, please let me know! Research can be difficult so at the very least I can help design the poll.)

And with my most recent reblog, can I add, I'm really disappointed that this post didn't get as much attention. Like, I get if you guys don't want to do a poll, but at least tell me why you don't want a poll. Is it because you, white person reading this, do not want to acknowledge the race disparity on this website? Is it because you're currently comfortable in your ignorance that this website tends to chase off people of color, either through its users or even its staff?

Some people of color have reached out to me saying that it's a bummer to see the number disparities. That, I can understand. It's very much, "we already know that we're in the minority here." Personally for me, it's about seeing and having those numbers, even if it is disappointing. It is about having data to point at and ask, "Don’t you think there's a problem here?" Unfortunately, it means having to see those numbers. It means having to acknowledge them. Because we can't make things better until we acknowledge that there's a problem, and we can't make things better on our own. The people who have the power to do something (the majority on this site that is catered to, i.e. the white community) need to acknowledge that there is a problem on this site first. And unfortunately, they keep choosing to look away.

I still want this poll. I still want this data. If no one is with me, then I'll do it on my own. But I want you—I need you to ask yourself: Why are you so unwilling to see this data for yourself?
