I'm bored. Let's do some author slander
Cormac McCarthy pontificating on the nature of God and mankind right after exposing you to the most horrific, violent, and fucked up shit you’ve ever read
Most sober Ernest Hemingway moment
Least transphobic JK Rowling tweet
Stephen King on a slow day (he only wrote 3 books)
GRRM hard at work on The Winds of Winter
HP Lovecraft losing his sanity after experiencing the unspeakable, indescribable horror of seeing an Irish person in public
George Orwell on his way to be a snitch for the IRD
Roald Dahl trying to be a nice person for 30 seconds
Shortest Victor Hugo novel
JRR Tolkien writing a whole book to explain the history of one (1) singular oak tree
Tom Clancy after writing his 1,000,000th boomer revenge fantasy about destroying America’s enemies
Mark Twain on his way to write one of the greatest novels ever in the most unintelligible prose possible
Homer listing people on ships for 20 hours
Edgar Allen Poe on his happiest day
CS Lewis calculating the maximum possible number of Jesus metaphors he can cram into a children’s fantasy story. (It’s weird because he’s an atheist)
Rudyard Kipling, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Robert Louis Stevenson on their way to glorify imperialism
William Golding writing a book that ends up being taught in schools just to spite RM Ballantyne.
Jane Austen writing an entire book mocking the Prince Regent after he demanded she write one dedicated to him
Mary Shelley trying to be less goth for a day
Don't conquer the Multiverse without it...

Golden cicada on a jade leaf, Ming dynasty (1368-1644). This sculpture was discovered in a tomb in 1954: it is the top of a hairpin, belonging to a woman of high rank. The imagery of a cicada on a leaf had a double meaning and was a high compliment paid to beautiful women. .
