Get over here you nasty monster fuckers I have a fic for you. ___ (Venom 2018 AU  and part of my Siren’s song universe) Eddie Brock investigative journalist extraordinar except he hadn’t had a job in months. He needs a break, anything to get him back out there. He gets that break in the form of a lead telling him about weird and deadly things happening at the Life Foundation run by Carlton Drake. What Eddie didn’t know was this story was about to change his life, maybe for the better… That is if he can survive.

There is a moment right before I publish a fanfiction or even a reply to an RP that I wonder “who will send me death threats over this? Who will see me and think, ‘wow you wrote something I don’t like, I should try and get you fired so you starve to death.” These are the thoughts that run through my mind as a writer here on Tumblr. I get a cold sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach and it makes me wonder, since when do we as a people decide that protecting fictional characters, means abusing real life people?   

The point of fictional characters is that you can do what you need to them in order to tell a story, and not all stories are hallmark channel specials. The idea that all stories need to be a disney movie and have your morals spoon fed to you needs to stop. The harassment of authors needs to stop.

This is an RP between me and a friend so it is done in an RP style, I will post as I clean up each chapter. An AU loosely based on the episode “Nightmare in Red” in A:EMH. All the Avengers universes are just kinda smashed together for this story, with aesthetics mostly from AA, EMH, and MCU.

The Skurll Captain America  almost convinces Hulk to turn himself in, at the end of “Nightmare in Red”, but Hulk flees when he sees it’s not Shield taking him in but Ross. The Avengers go looking for him but never find him, only to later see the Hulk popping up in cities across the world killing people and destroying things. By the time they get there, he’s gone. _ Hulk can’t control himself, the voice singing to him makes him rage against his will. Ross was right he was a monster, but now he is Ross’s monster. When he returned to his cage, the voice does their best to soothe him, muttering apologies and crying, but they never let him go… not when the real monster is the one controlling them both.
