i've said it before but it's still so funny how people on this website prattle on constantly about being above empty-minded media like marvel films but as soon as you put some actual thoughtful art in front of them they immediately start bluescreening
i remember when this post was first making the rounds and tumblr scholars were insisting it was pedophilia and hecking yikes my dude or w/e despite the fact that's clearly not what's happening here
or that time someone posted a poem about their love/lust for women but had to actually clarify they're not a cannibal because big-brained tumblr users don't understand basic literary techniques like metaphor even though you should know this by the time you're like 10 years old
whenever anybody posts something remotely thought-provoking or complex on here this shit is guaranteed to be swarmed by people who are so fucking stupid AND insufferably smug about it too
