Theresa May crying at the end of her speech was funny as fuck

It was an alright end to the season finale however I don’t know what the writers were thinking with May’s character arc.

There’s been no indication of Theresa May having any shred of emotion in any of the previous seasons. Not during her role as Home Secretary where she sent mobile billboards threatening deportation, not when she deported the Windrush generation, not when her government sold weapons to Saudis to bomb the shit out of Yemen, and not when people burned alive in Grenfell Tower.

I know the tears and breaking voice were probably Theresa May realising how shit her legacy is but it felt very out of character.

The Boris Johnson spin-off series will probably be shit as well.

Don’t be fooled by this. It’s all a desperate attempt to preserve the legacy of someone who enacted racist policies and policies that demonised vulnerable people.

This is a woman who’s government deported gay men back to countries where they’d be executed for their sexuality and told them to ‘act straight’.
