Cooler than the Cryogenian period.

This summer is flying by! Tomorrow I leave for the Northwest Territories/Yukon to conduct my fieldwork for grad school, and then it's one more month of "work" in the Rockies before I need to hit the books. I'm excited to start a new project, but definitely sad to move on from full time caving. There will always be a place in my heart for this dusty ol' cave. 📸cred: insta account @devaaningraham

Caving is fun
Oh hey I didn't see you there.
Deep dark thoughts
an UNUSUAL HOARD commission for chthonicutie …………….some of these ROCKS are things thatre in my house right now and some of them…. are not
The study of geology has taken me to some pretty remarkable places. It has also broadened my perspective, shaped my lifestyle in countless ways, and amplified my appreciation for the natural world. I'm very excited to share that I've been admitted to the University of Calgary for graduate studies! I'll be researching tectonics and thermochronology in the context of the Richardson Mountains, which are in the northernmost reaches of the Yukon & Northwest Territories of Canada. I get to conduct my fieldwork up there this July!
Not shown: the two fractures in my right hand that I probably should not have climbed with. At least I iced and elevated the injury, amIright?
Feeling bolder (and colder) than ever before.
