June 2nd, 2026 - A Sterile Slow-Down.
If this diary is lost, please return it to Yuri Mircalla Karnstein. 1817, Novella Way - Styria, 6040 ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶ The Ball was uneventful. the only noteworthy thing was the amount of humans, a shocking 4% of the ball was comprised of the turned or the blooded. Those girls I mentioned yesterday were, to say the least, quite disrespectful of my transition. They had pointed out every imperfection and dysphoric element that was visible on my body, luckily, Laura took care of them for me. The ball ended on the 11th toll of the clock bell that day, and most every person had left immediately, aside from a blooded girl in an intriguing orange tuxedo, she's still unconscious on the couch, Mother said she must have had too much of the "punch" and fainted to to the blooded's tolerance being low for vampire tears. It may seem like an eventful ordeal, but something akin to this has happened at all 3 balls, the first i thought was the most troubling situation in the world-- A grizzly man in a large black coat had passed out in the assorted foods stand, and Laura had to grab a hold of him and carry him out of the castle. We still interact from time to time, I call him Uncle Helsing. Here's hoping the girl in orange is similar to that relationship.
June 1st, 2026 - The Decennial Ball
If this diary is lost, please return it to Yuri Mircalla Karnstein. 1817, Novella Way - Styria, 6040 ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶̶ ̶ Today was the decennial ball my mother, Carmilla, had started back in 1626. She had insisted I wear the same dress she had worn on that day, a frilly ballgown the shade of blood, it was a gift from the other side of the family, and she lavished it. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit her anymore, as she miraculously grew 3 feet taller after her last harvest. So now I have to wear it to the ball. I wasn't against the idea, until i put it on and felt the itch on my tailbone. It's uncomfortable, but i had already put the dress on.
My other mother, who I call Laura for the sake of simplicity, insisted i wear a yellow broach, one she had worn the night she asked Carmilla to turn her. It still had a bloodstain from that night. I can't imagine what they did after, Laura must have been writhing in pain. Regardless, Unlike Mother's dress, Laura's broach didn't bother me all too much.
Now, you may be wondering why they're dressing me up for such an occasion. To put it simply, I am to become a Countess within the next 6 months, and Mother had stated that this ball is a prime opportunity for me to mingle amongst the other vampires and occasional human. "Now, me and your mother are very adamant that you don't court someone you don't think you'll fall in love with, if there's not one person there whom you should find suitable for your tastes, there is no need to force yourself into marriage." That's what Laura said to me before I went down the ballroom stairs, though I admit, I do hope to find someone, it'd be a shame to disappoint my mothers and have to wait another decade again.
I shall update you after the ball, i've already seen quite a few girls my type, so I am to stop writing, and attempt to make conversation.
