You get a strange feeling when you leave a place. Like not only will you miss the people you love, but you’ll miss the person you were at that time and place, because you’ll never be the same ever again. That’s when you know it truly was a transformative experience.

Hard to come home

It’s hard to come back to what you’ve always known after a life-changing experience.  Those familiar things that brought you so much comfort don’t seem so familiar anymore. Yet, I’m really liking who I’ve become: this person with a worldview; this compassionate, caring, loving person, who is genuinely thankful for every experience, every opportunity and every moment. I’m different, but I’d hate to always stay the same.
