Ok, so this will naturally be long. I will however promise to keep it as short as possible. I am however, a women of detail and I hate telling stories without the important parts.
Wearing red is bold therefore comes with a price. Please see below.
1. THE STATEMENT ‘WE RUN THE WORLD’ RED LIP - the red lip was never worn to often unless you was famous or a movie star of some sort. Over recent years however with fashion growing and less people being judgmental and more people thinking 'f**k you I will wear what I want’ It has grown to be popular. I myself began sporting a red lip in 2011 when I first started collage and used the fact that know one knew me to make a statement and show that it came standard when getting ready in the morning. It was, as the red lip is, respected. You will always get the comment ‘OMG it looks so nice on you, I couldn’t do it’ comment as you tell them just to try it knowing they never will because you was the first to do it and they would be the copy cat. The red lip needs to also come in matte or satin. DO NOT gloss the red lip. You will look cheap and men wont respect you and will play stripper music to give you a hint (you have asked for this yourself by glossing it, just no) and most importantly, clean your teeth afterward. But never do a soft red lip, there is actually no such thing…like I really hate this red tinted lip balm thing. My lips are either plain (which is lovely for a more natural look) or a FULL red lip. Never promote the “tinted lip balm” thing, it just looks like you used your nieces lip stick she puts on her dollys. I normally never wear red unless I can line my lips too, if you can get away with apply red lipstick without lining then I envy you but otherwise lining is essential. To sum it up just make sure you wear it with pride and a ‘my vagina is made of gold’ kind of look.
2. THE CLASSIC RED BAG – A red bag needs to be a classic bag or a nice simple bag. Chanel is the best but ladies I know we are all broke bitches so you can pick a bag up in Zara that is perfect! Make sure your red bag is small, cute and necessary for what shit you will put init. NEVER stuf a bag.
3. A APPLE RED PHONE CASE – by apple red I don’t mean fruit apple I mean apple as in the technology geniuses apple. The famous fruit shop who have no respect for there workers and incorrectly fire them for making a mistake that there co-managers will then make and it be ok. F**ktards. (this aggression you can see comes from deep within although it was not me it happened to but a close loved one.) anyway.. f**k them but back to there red case. This goes so perfectly with a red lip (please make sure its MAC).
4. THE INDEPENDENT RED SUIT – as sported by many of the best top models and artist. The red suit is another statement piece and must be held in the classic book as well. I love it to be worn when you go somewhere alone to show independence. DO NOT wear a red suit to go out with your boyfriend. He cant stroke your leg under the table and tease you for what’s coming when you get home later so it’s a big no no. it must be worn to show that you can carry yourself as a strong independent women, just like the true destiny child you are. We are all Charlie’s angles. (the biggest lie in history was there was only ever 3).
5. THE RED RIDING HOOD COAT – this is short and simple, don’t wear a red coat. Its in the title, you will look like red riding hood. Case closed.
6. RED NAILS – My fav all year rounder…a must have at all times in your nail polish box. Red nails are my most garneted thing to do that will never go out of fashion. I don’t know why this is but they just wont, if ever I sit at the nail shop while waiting for my acrylics to dry and I can not decide what colour to have, I always pick red.
Being a women who carries red overall just shows strength, simply strength in oneself to be confident enough to wear red but underneath it shows that you have been through bad times and came out hotter then ever with your perfect red lips un-smudge, untouched. My second mother is a women that does red better then Ferrari, and I thought that was impossible. Another issue just popped to mind, a rather important one. The red lip is un-kissable as sexy as it is. For ladies with boyfriends the risk is yours but otherwise it’s a nice little first date option that says “you cant kiss me tonight but if you do well and order something with Nutella without me asking then you will get one next time for sure”. The red lip really is fun and something to play with before you get it right but with all things red, be strong, confident and classy and you cant go wrong.
