I’ve been thinking about Tucker and Wash’s Moment™ in season 11 a lot lately and Wash’s ‘…what?’ legitimately stabs me in the chest

Like, up until that point, they’ve been consistently butting heads. Wash is constantly getting onto Tucker’s ass about training and taking responsibility while Tucker keeps getting onto Wash’s ass for being a hardass. But they also spend a lot of their time together. Outside of doing drills, Tucker is there hanging out with Wash while he fixes the comms tower and stuff. Sure Wash probably forces him to be there to help out if needed, but Tucker actually talks to him while he’s working

All Wash wanted was a place to belong and to be a beneficial asset to the team that gave him a chance and took him in. With how much Tucker and Church bickered, Wash probably thinks that he and Tucker are going through the same thing. That it’s probably a mixture of years-long laziness and the need to get on Wash’s nerves that Tucker is being contrary. That he’ll eventually see that what Wash is doing is helpful to his development. It isn’t until Tucker reaches his breaking point and full-on snaps at him, basically saying he wishes Church was there and not him, that Wash realizes ‘oh shit he actually hates me’.

Instead rising to the bait, he’s legitimately hurt and taken aback by Tucker’s outburst. It makes him understand that he’s actually been inadvertently pushing away the only people, the only friends he has left. I dunno. I’m bad at making my thoughts and feelings clear, but the delivery of that single word makes me want to snort glass

Wash and Tucker’s relationship is always going to be so crazy to me. Like, Tucker’s a core character that’s been there since day 1. Wash gets introduced in season 6. They don’t have any real interaction until season 10 and even then it’s, like, a couple scenes here and there. Then there’s season 11 where it’s basically the first time they have proper conversations and scenes together.

They pass by each other before finding each other when they need it most. Tucker had just lost his best friend for the second time and he wasn’t there for it yet again and Wash had nowhere to go and needed a place to stay

They just kinda feel like two people who weren’t supposed to meet, yet found each other against all odds

We don’t give Jeremy enough credit for how fucking beautiful he is. Almost every man he speaks to is extremely attractive to him, while he wears gold shorts and usc shirts seventy percent of the time. He pulled not only Jean, who we all know is also extremely handsome but also Kevin who is canonically attractive by Nora and everyone else in the books. He looks good both blond and brunette which is crazy because most people can’t pull off both those hair colours, yet Jeremy still gets hit on every where he goes. My boy doesn’t even try. Good luck Jean, I’m surprised you’re still breathing at this point.
