Anyways, now that that's out of the way, ik you're not supposed to hate ppls ships, but what is there to like?

It's a 200 year old radiated ghoul with a girl who he waterboarded, watched chew his finger off, and then sold her organs to a robot for drugs bc he didn't give a flying damn about her! Ah yes, my favorite trope!

Did I mention his wife and kid whom he's looking for??

Not to mention Maximus. This is pretty self explanatory, I shouldn't have to elaborate, but I will anyways.

I feel like some of it might be race related (don't cancel me) but regardless of it is or isn't, not liking Max just bc he gets in the way of whatever tf vaultghoul is just feels midly wrong.

Like I understand not liking him for killing a knight, trying to kill thaddeus, ect. But not liking him simply bc he gets in the way of a non Canon ship leads to you guessed it! Discrimination, the pipeline to racism!

Don't forget the part where the ghoul was going to kill Lucy, no hesitation, if not for Max!

Anyways, I'm done complaining. I hate ghoulucy and ghoulucy shippers. I also hate that I have to ask where the fandom is for a CANON ship but where are all the vaultknight shippers at?

Okay I can't be the only one who's noticed this, but I've read quite a few Jalim fanfics and while yes (as someone who lives in the south) Jason probably suffers with immense amounts of internalized homophobia, so does Salim? I don't really see alot of people talking about the customs in Iraq and how, while it's not illegal, it's still shamed and people are not often open about it- if open at all. I read somewhere that they can't even get an estimated number of the community there, and that's as of today. I haven't done a lot of research but assuming Salim grew up in the 60s-70s, where nearly everyone had problems with same sex relationships, I can only imagine that very homophobic beliefs were probably drilled into him at very young age. Not to mention his wife and Zain. I can only imagine he probably projected his beliefs onto Zain when he was growing up. He isn't talked about enough to begin with, but he probably has issues with Jason and his father's relationship.

Anyways, just some food for thought for anyone writing about them.

If anyone's got any fic suggestions where this is brought more to light I'd appreciate a link!

Idk if anyone wondered/cared but I do normally draw in a much MUCH simpler form 🥹🙏. With more realistic drawings like the other two I have posted takes a lot of time and a lot of refrwncing which is sometimes to much for me.
