for prompt 5 of @aahorrorfest: gothic horror (shhh I know I'm technically a day late to the party but I posted the thing yesterday so it still counts)
summary:
"But why, Papa?" she asks again, unsatisfied with his answer. All her life, Franziska has respected him. All her life, he's been rational and reasonable. Now, she wants her father back, not this rambling, broken, crazy man. "Why try to kill a ghost?"
Manfred smiles. “That's very easy for you to say, Franziska. You've never been haunted before."

Today's theme from @aahorrorfest was Gothic, and who better to represent that than my favorite punching bag-- I mean favorite Doctor-- Yujin Mikotoba?
The Ubume is the spirit of a woman who's died in childbirth... and it's a spirit Yujin knows all too well
Bonus, picture of me under the cut (shoutout to you @spazz981 for taking it!)
Happy Halloween!!

CW: Major Character Death, Bad Ending, Haunting, Possession, Description of a Corpse, Vomiting
Mia Fey has been seeing them for months. Imagining them, maybe.
She chalks it up to the stress of coaching Phoenix through the bar exam, putting in extra hours late at night. But the hallucinations linger in her periphery no matter how many times she explains them away.

Miles Edgeworth and Wendy Oldbag vs. The Undead, 2k, Edgeworth & Oldbag
CW: graphic depictions of violence, implied MCD as some major AA characters are zombies
Edgeworth had always hated zombie movies as a child. He couldn’t imagine anything more miserable than being the only intelligent life surrounded by mindless groaning automatons, doomed to hack his way through flesh and bone until he either succumbed to them or made it to safety.
Now, as he hid behind a makeshift barricade in the courthouse, he realized his old fears were misplaced. The worst thing wasn’t fighting zombies alone. It was fighting them with Wendy Oldbag.
