250 years is 250 too many. May this be the last.
shoutout to genuinely nice people, keep doing what youāre doing, the world needs you
From United American Indians of New England:
Lots of settlers are talking about whether it's ok or not to add Trump to the presidential heads at 'Mount Rushmore.'
Guess what? It's not your land.
It's part of the sacred Black Hills that the Lakota have never ceded or sold.
None of those presidential heads should be there defacing TuÅkÔŔila Å Ć”kpe (6 Grandfathers) aka Mt. Rushmore.

Arrest everyone involved.
Money saved: maybe a couple million dollars.
People killed: around three quarters of a million.

ID2: screenshot from a website with the subheading Death Tracker. "To date, 757,314 people - the majority children - have died from the funding cuts, according to ImpactCounter, which tracks the effects of USAID cuts via sophisticated modelling tools. That is 88 deaths every hour."]

The first photo is from 1956. It shows a Black woman watching members of the Ku Klux Klan (a terrorist, racist, far-right organization focused on white supremacy) walking along a sidewalk in Montgomery, Alabama (USA). I couldn't find the photo's author, but most sources state that it was taken in 1956.
The second photo shows members of the Patriot Front group (a white supremacist and nationalist group, formed in 2017, that openly advocates what they call "American Fascism") traveling on the subway during the 250th anniversary of the U.S. independence in Washington D.C., while a Black woman watches them. The photo is by photographer Cheney Orr, taken on July 4, 2026, 70 years after the first photo.

every time I use my vicks vaporub I think about the enslaved women Lunford Richardson knew who were making menthol salves for their families and whom he probably got the idea from. Everyone say thank you to the enslaved women who invented Vicks vaporub
