I know it’s not hard to point out reactionaries hypocrisy when it comes to like safe spaces or hug boxes or whatever but genuinely how much of an echo chamber do you have to exist in for you to think this is a reasonable thing to say
reblog if attacking fascism is really the hill you want to die on
this is literally like one of the most justified and honorable hills you could die on??? lol??
Quick someone reply with the gif™️
Always reblog this if you are cool
couldn't stop myself from doing lettering for the first time in ages. sometimes the emotion is more important than the technique
For those people who need to hear it, there is nothing wrong with going back into the closet for your own safety. You aren't less queer because you can't be queer publicly. You aren't less trans because you have to act like you're not trans.
If you need to start going by your old pronouns or quietly go back into the closet to be safe - you are allowed to do that. Please do that if it means you're alive.
Your safety is important.
You are important.
And if you know someone who has to do this, don't push them. Don't out them. Follow their lead. People's safety is more important that grandstanding.
V for Vendetta (2005) dir. James McTeigue
I’m not American but have been living here since I was 17 and this is just so sad. It’s like u guys are finally done pretending to not discriminate against all the minorities. So sorry for everyone whose lives will be negatively affected… And I’d probably move back to my home country after finishing my current degree bc of this… Not that the place where i was born is any better. It’s worse imo but at least i have my family there
Ik she’s a woman and also racial minority which could both work against her bc of the deep embedded misogyny and racism but I literally thought it’s so obvious that the other option is so bad that ppl wouldn’t consider voting for him???
Please, spread this for those who might need it right now

if you're feeling powerless right now—and god knows I am—here's a reminder you can donate to the National Network of Abortion Funds, the Trans Law Center, Gaza Soup Kitchen, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and hundreds of other charities that will work to mitigate the damage that has been and will continue to be inflicted
life continues. we still have the capacity to do good, important work. that matters
If it works out that’s fantastic and if it doesn’t it was still a learning experience and nothing is eternally damaging so long as you have the ability to breathe and change course when need be and you shouldn’t compare yourself to anyone else because we are all on entirely different timelines and rejection is redirection and if something doesn’t work out something better can always supplant it and life is too short not to surround it w people who truly love you and you can always find your people no matter what stage of life you’re in and there are too many people in this world for you to settle and nothing that happened in your life is pointless bc it shaped you into exactly who you are today and you can break the cycle whenever you choose to and it’s fine and it’ll work out and you’ll be alright and I love you

well 🧍♀️ as a reminder this blog is NOT a safe space for trump supporters but it IS a safe place for women, queers, trans ppl, people of color, undocumented people, and any marginalized group.
If it makes any of you feel better, Donald Trump will have an uphill battle to change the constitution. He will need:
-2/3 of Senators (60)
-2/3 of the House of Representatives (290)
-3/4 of the states (38)
In 2026, 33 senate seats will be up for grabs, and we’ll be able to vote for people who are against Trump and his ideals.
Breathe and remain hopeful because it’s not over. We can still fight and make Trump’s last four years hell.
This is so important. Also pay attention to local elections. Now more than ever it's important to have staunch anti Trump democrats at every level of government - from school boards to senate seats. Apathy and not voting helped Trump win. Now is the time to wake up and get serious and hold on to the freedoms we have left. We have got to fight for every inch of territory. Do not give up. Do not give him any more power than he already has.
hello folks here’s a sad Murdock edit for yall
Can't express how stress free being open minded is.
Some lesbians use he/him? Oh cool.
Some people have people inside their head and sometimes it's fictional chars? Sick your brains like a pirate ship they're all working to run.
Some people like being treated like a pet dog? Bark bark bro.
Being fat isn't unhealthy but a perfectly normal type of body to have? Kinda beautiful how different we can all be.
Something doesn't make any fucking sense? Cool an opportunity to learn. And even if I can't figure it out it's cool we still have mysteries today.
It's just... idk man. People are weird. Being a person is weird. Society is weird. The universe is weird. Rather than having to "normalize" everything, just accept that some people are weird. So are you. Nothing is normal. the rules are all made up. I once saw a Klingon pushing a baby stroller down the street in toronto. The world is a weird place, man. Just roll with it.
One of the best things that happened to me when I reached back-pain age was realizing I legit don't have the energy to judge people anymore. I grew up in a hyperconservative, extremely judgmental subculture in which my value as a person was partly determined by my ability to demonstrate moral superiority by judging others, and now I can just look at people doing weird sex shit (context: I'm ace, so most sex shit is weird to me) and be like ... fuck, man, yelling at you about my mild discomfort seems exhausting, like I'd forget halfway through why I was even doing it. I'd rather be trying to find a good book to read. You do you, keep the racket down, don't bother me unless someone's bleeding in an unplanned manner, and we're cool.
Now I hear my former fellows getting all hot and bothered about, idk, trans people existing, and if I don't think education will do anything, I can give them a dead-eyed stare and say, "I am (age) years old. I'm too tired to care about this," and watch the realization dawn that they too can mind their own fucking business.
