Took Renner Spastic on a run today, for the first 2 miles of my 7. About 1.5 miles in he'd had enough, so dad had to do some 35 lbs pup carries for a quarter mile. Once he realized how close we were to home, he hopped down for the last quarter mile. He was kind enough to let me get a photo later, during my cool down. #TrainingDay #MansBestEver

Another week, another gas mask run. This is essentially my view for however long I'm out running each week. It's hot, it's sweaty, and breathing is way more laborious than I would like. That being said, I get a rush everytime I put it on. Tonight I had the privilege of talking to several groups of people, just after my run, who wanted to know why this crazy bastard was running in a gas mask. I shared my history and the importance of suicide awareness in not only veterans but all people. Hopefully, they listened. The fundraising is going well. We're at 72% of the goal. I would like this week to be when I break into the last 20%. I went back to the allergist/asthma specialist today. I was insistent they retest my lung function. 2 weeks ago they tested me and said my lungs were only functioning at 64.7% and then proceeded to say I probably have asthma. Anyone that knows me knows that is malarky. I stated that the test may not have been given correctly, so they redid it. 95% or higher on 3 tests! Good thing I never took the asthma meds. Time to destroy personal bests. Moral: don't let anyone tell you shit about your limits. #RebirthOfASpeedster #RecoveryRoad (at Rebel Outpost 54)
