Vegans who take medications (despite them being treated on animals) are valid. Persecuting Vegans on medications is extremely ableist and cruel. Non-Vegans shouldn’t use it as a gotcha and Vegans shouldn’t persecute Vegans on medications, or try to claim they’re not ‘fully Vegan’ (which is an obtuse concept on its own). Veganism is about doing as little harm as possible. Not taking medications because of these convictions is not within the realm of possibility, or decency, for many folk. Don’t contribute to the stigmatization of medicine by making Vegans who need them walk on egg shells.
