HI. Since I had no idea and had so much trouble on how to get photoshop 2025 for free on my MacBook Air, I decided to make this so it could help any of you guys. (I'm a new MacBook Air user, trust me i had a hard time doing so)

First of all, this is what you’ll see once you extract the files from the zip. I know it’s in Spanish, but I got you!!
So you will have to click on the Adobe.Downloader.dmg file, ok? I know Mac won't let you download it, so go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Security.
Click on “Open Anyway.” It’ll ask for your Mac password or Touch ID, just enter it. The point is that the app will finish installing. Then something like this will open.
(Heads up: don’t get too excited. I know it’s cool to have all the Adobe stuff available, but you need a specific patch for each app. I’m still trying to get the one for After Effects. If I manage to get it, send me a message and I’ll pass it to you.)
OK. Alright, now you’re going to click on this gear icon. You need to make sure everything shows up exactly like I’m about to show you, okay?
Once you’ve super double-checked everything, go to “Cleanup,” select all of them, and then click “Start Cleaning.” That’s it. close that tab.
Now, look for PHOTOSHOP. Click download, BUT pay attention you CANNOT download the latest version!!! The patch only works for version 26.2. you’ve been warned.
Then go ahead and download it, and make sure it’s actually downloading all the files. Once it looks like this, close the app.
k so back to downloads, go to the "ps installer" folder and click adobe activation tool.
open ur applications folder and click the photoshop app. then hit start activation, it’s gonna ask for ur macbook password, so just type it in. the log at the bottom should say it's done correctly. close that and open 'no account patch ps,'
hit continue, continue, and click adobe ps patch.
hit install, activate it, let it access ur downloads and ur literally done. just look it up in spotlight and it should be there.
and tadaaah!! done, that’s it. you can delete everything you downloaded with no problem, you already have photoshop installed ✨

I recently got an ask [x] on colouring for this set I did for solo levelling [x] and it got so long because I wanted to say so many things and I ended up going into colour theory so I gave up fighting with photoshop and did it on keynote instead 💀

hi aashna i hope you're doing well too!! so this got me into a deep dive of my fonts and as a result, i thought i would make this little graphic which shows some of my favourite calligraphy/script fonts, as well as what i would usually pair them with, which would usually be serif or sans serif. they can of course be mixed up and paired as you like, but hopefully this can act as a bit of inspiration! all fonts are written out by their name and should be available on dafonts, but if you have any issues tracking them down please feel free to give me a shout :)

hi lex! sorry for the delay in responding but i'll try my best to help! all my colourings follow the steps i mentioned in this tutorial but i can give you some adjustments that i make for backlit scenes!
tldr:
increase brightness gradually, especially at the early stages (don't brighten to the max at each step)
decrease contrast as needed (skip some layers/settings that add more contrast, decrease contrast in the red/neutral selective colours)
decrease brightness/contrast at the very end using curves
don't fight the backlighting too much! some shadows are okay!
i'm going to be using this gif as an example
Brightness/contrast layer set to screen
so my colouring steps have slightly changed and i've now replaced the very first exposure layer with a brightness/contrast layer set to screen.
this is how the scene looks right now, which i think is way too bright since the skin tones look washed out, so i'm going to lower the opacity.
i play around with it depending on the scene and i start by testing what 50% opacity looks like. i then settled on 40% for this shot. for backlit scenes i make sure to brighten very gradually, which means for the early colouring layers, i don't end up brightening it as much as i could.
here are my steps up to the exposure layer, for the white eyedropper i clicked on the bit of sky near buck's head to the right, and for the black eyedropper i clicked on the bit of buck's backpack near where his hand is.
2. Levels and more contrast
now these are my settings for the levels adjustment and this does most of the heavy lifting.
and then i follow it with a brightness/contrast layer set to +10 for both sliders.
3. Colour balance
i do these layers the same as in my previous tutorial, i'm just especially careful with the highlights layer so i usually keep the sliders within +/- 10.
4. Red selective colour
now this is how it looks before i use any selective colour layers
if you still feel like your subject is too dark, i like to decrease the black slider in the red selective colour tab, but make sure not to do too much otherwise your subject will look washed out!
5. White/neutral/black selective colours
after the rest of your selective colour steps, you might feel like the background is too bright and glowy. in that case just increase the black slider in the white selective colour tab, but make sure not to do too much again otherwise the skin tone will start looking weird! i actually decreased the slider for this gif because i liked that it added more highlight on the side of buck's face.
for the neutral tab, i decreased the black slider to -3 to take away the tiniest bit of contrast, and for the black tab i increased the black slider to +2. here's what it looks like after all that:
6. Final steps
now the grey to white gradient i mentioned in my colouring tutorial will add some more brightness to the gif, so i usually either just skip this step or reduce the opacity to like 10%.
and at the very end i add an auto curves layer which helps balance out the brightness and shadows, decreasing the opacity to 50% or less. sometimes an auto curves layer will add brightness so if that ever happens i just drag the curve down myself the tiniest bit like this.
and here's what the final gif looks like! i don't mind if the subject isn't perfectly brightened and there are still some shadows, since i like keeping things true to how the scene originally is, so don't worry if your subject is still darker than the background, it's what makes sense given the backlighting!
