it seems like neither of your co-mods have posted anything on their blogs in over a year. One of the blogs doesn't even seem to exist anymore.

Yeah, it’s just me now, unfortunately. I have a super busy schedule, so updates like character additions and basic page edits are slow.

I think I need a new co-mod! I’ll probably put out an application or something sometime next week.

LINK TO TEXT POSTS

You may notice that when trying to reblog a very long message, even if it’s only long from use of sprites, the page for reblogging changes shape, and the uploaded post has some details trimmed off. This is because it has shifted to a Link post, rather than Text.

Simply find the “as…” button as shown above…

Trimming Posts

When having a long reblogged conversation with someone, it’s common courtesy for you to trim your posts, so they don’t take up too much space on the dashboard. It’s fine if you retain the previous post, but delete those beforehand.

Take the reblogged post.

Click next to one of the URLs by the top left, and drag aaaaallll the way down, until you read the bottom of the posts you want to delete. The lines at the left work as a guide.

Hiatus information

In the past, when AAT was the first and foremost of the Ace Attorney roleplaying fandom, attendance was strict, and if a roleplayer was absent for three weeks, they would be removed from the listing and someone else would take their place.

However, that was before I took the helm as moderator, and I think that's definitely too stringent. Still! Notifying me of a hiatus or semi-hiatus is an A+ good thing, so you won't have to worry about anyone "taking" your spot.

Whether something comes up suddenly or if you're busy with schoolwork and need a break, please let me know! Shoot the AAT blog a message saying "Hey, I need to go on hiatus for x amount of time" or something along those lines. Our discussion will be private and everything will work out just fine.

Writing Styles

Hi there! So, an anon asked about "preferred" writing styles--there are just so many different ways to go about it! It's all up to your personal preference as the roleplayer.

I have seen people use italics for describing actions, brackets around actions, parentheses for private character thoughts, quotation marks, etc. Tenses are also up to you. I know I tend to write in the present tense, but many roleplayers use the past tense. And while most rp-ers use third-person limited for narration, I've seen others who use the first or even second person.

Examples:

"I dunno," whined Larry. "I'm kinda feeling pizza but I also just want wings and ice cream. Can we have all three?"

[Larry pouts, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at Phoenix with an expression that screamed, "c'mon, Nick, buy me dinner."]

> You look at Phoenix with those big old puppy-dog eyes of yours, knowing that he could never turn down a request from his oldest, bestest friend in the universe.

There's no right or wrong way to go about it. As long as your grammar is good, there's nothing to worry about!
