Silly boy
Somebody is going to get a treat!
the pre-conceived thought that we are all monsters
"now i lay me down to sleep
human’s ignorance makes me weep
if they do not learn of their mistake
it will be my life that they take.”
Great picture!!
Watching TV with mom.
Happy Abbey, at the park.
Happy Abbey, after the park :)

Dreading bath time. #pitbull #pitbullsofintagram
Can’t decide if she wants to nap or play… chewing on her teddy bear won :)
Hypnotized by the ball thrower.
Deadly blue-green algae, better known as cyanobacteria, has been found in Long Island waterways.
Hehehe.
Looking adorable doing the gettin' <3
Today, Abbey learned about bees. Notice the huge bump on her head :(
My husband reblogged a video about a dog rescued from a dog fighting ring. After he warned me not to watch it, of course, I did… and cried my eyes out. The video is heartbreaking in and of itself but the most terrible thing is that the little guy the story focuses on reminds me of my Abbey.
A loving, devoted, a bit awkward socially, funny, smart doggie who found her forever home with us.
Abbey is also a rescued dog. From California to Puyallup, her life before us will remain a mystery. Since we got her, we’ve witnessed a surprising amount of firsts for a two year old. We saw her learn how to swim, take her first lick of peanut butter, understand “sit", “stay", “be good" and others that are a work in progress.
A work in progress, like us, like her, like my husband, like me. I wish all the doggies that got dealt an abusive human by fate could get another chance and not die in the process. The door Abbey opened in my life would have never been spotted otherwise if it wasn’t for her.
I can’t thank the Universe enough (even when she gets on my nerves. I mean, come on! I’m a mom!)
