In case anyone thought the Italian Eurovision song was problematic™, you should know that it’s actually a parody of western people’s obsessive fascination with eastern culture and philosophy. The title “Occidentali’s Karma” literally means western people’s karma and it mocks western people being infatuated with anything eastern and making it a ~trendy~ thing just because it’s popular and without understanding its principles and the culture underneath. So it’s actually the opposite of problematic.
