Workers at RTP have spoken out against the broadcaster's decision to remain in Eurovision while Israel is allowed to compete. The workers said that "keeping KAN in the event contributes to the legitimation and normalization of a state accused of war crimes."
The workers were urging the broadcaster to reconsider their decision. Portuguese winner of Eurovision Salvador Sobral also disagreed with RTP's stance, citing their hypocrisy for broadcasting a benefit concert for Gaza while not taking a stand against Israel in Eurovision.
