ribbit ribbit goes the 20 year old emo kid

So a very long while back some of you might have remembered that I did a SessKag role reversal AU with warlord princess Kagome and time-traveling high school student Sesshomaru. Since then I DID come up with like a slew of story ideas and stuff but I never got around to posting them.

So I dug them up today and here’s only a part of it but I think it would be fun to share. In which Kagome is Kikyo’s ancestor and is largely credited for modern day peaceful coexistence between humans and demons. Which Sesshomaru for the most part is ambivalent about. He finds his own time boring and much prefers the Feudal Era where it’s more exciting and gives him more opportunities to hone his skills as a warrior. This worries Kagome though, even if he proves to be a valuable albeit untrained ally, because his arrogance and hubris as he grows stronger is evident and they frequently clash over this. Eventually her fears come to pass when it costs him his arm. I pictured an emotional scene where this is where she decides to send him back through the well because she blames herself for not protecting him and tries to seal it. And all he wants is to return and realizes he just wants to be by her side.

More backstory sketches will eventually come up later including Naraku, the shikon, Princess!Kagome, and Sess’s parents. I thought about this thing a lot back in the and it was super fun but I’ve just been hoarding it. So here!
