Queens new week is madness. But when you have a classy brewery like Big Alice to guide your beer drinking adventure, your in good hands. With an experimental brewery, the joy is the ever changing options. Tonight's offering, Honey Wheat, Mice Elf IPA, Gun Powder Rye, Salted Caramel, Sale + Pepper Black Saison, Jalapeño Rye IPA, Queens Honey Brown, Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout, and a Sour Multigrain Stout. Hop in next time you're in The Beautiful Queens Borough.

This is exciting, an Alabama Beer in NYC. Unfortunately it's not for sale here, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it here. From Birmingham, AL, Good People Brewing Co.'s Coffee Oatmeal Stout. Really looking forward to this. Sweet Home Alabama.
#30 Nebraska, Nebraska Brewing Co.
Brunette Nut Brown Ale
New York City provides plenty of opportunities to have what ever you want. Really! You can find just about whatever you desire, as long as you’re willing to pay for it. I find found Nebraska Brewing Company at the Tribeca Tap House. Yet, it was apparently so tasty that it was always sold out every time before I could get there.
I was lucky and found a can of Brunette at Top Hops beer shop in the Lower East Side. They have a rotating tap list you can sample from and coolers full of suds organized by state or country of origin. It’s a beer Mecca for any craft beer enthusiasts.
Brunette has that nutty and chocolately characteristics associated with a good nut brown, a hint of nutmeg on the front followed by a sweet malty finish.
# 29 Delaware, Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales
75 Minute IPA with Maple Syrup
In doing this challenge some states are harder then others. Either a state does not have enough brewers that bottle and export (South Dakota) or they have too many and it’s too hard to choose (California, Colorado). With Delaware, neither of those is a problem. The only tough choice was picking which style of beer to use. As a fan of both IPAs and experiementals, I was excited to find this 75 minute maple syrup bottle conditioned ale.
It falls perfectly between their 60 minutes and 90 minutes styles, yet had the maple syrup flavor subtly dancing on your tongue with each sip. I was afraid that it would be over powering, but it’s almost not noticeable. It’s almost as it they meant it that way (I know they did).

#28 South Carolina, Westbrook Brewing Co.
One Claw Rye Pale Ale
Another beer from the Southeast. I grew up down there, but I don’t remember such a vibrant beer scene. Folks like the husband and wide duo that brought up Westbrook have worked hard to change that in recent years. And we’re all better for it. This was my first Westbrook beer, but I can’t wait to get more.

Full of pumpkin flavor and rich hearty taste.
Another afternoon spent at one of my favorite places, Astoria Bier & Cheese, On Dirtmars. This time, got to try Singlecut Beersmiths' George Belgian Calme Ale D'Abbaye, a dubbel infused with whisky soaked cascara. Also had the Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout from Flying Dog.
Visiting Brooklyn for a sampling of the beer from Threes Brewing. First up, SuperF*ckingYawn 3.5 out of 5.
Enjoying some Singlecut Beersmiths Billy 18-watt on a post-snow sunny day.

Coffee Stout
I pretty much loved all beer with coffee. This is my second sampling of the Schlafly offering.
