Oh Billy. Billy, Billy, Billy. You are pretty damn awesome for a session IPA. I mean, do I really need to type more because that pretty much sums it up.
Ok, I guess I’ll elaborate just a little. Breweries should not be allowed to make beers this smooth and sessionable with this much flavor because honestly, the combination is about as deadly as a carnival ride at the Ohio State Fair because I just want to polish off a whole case as fast as possible. Believe it or not, this is my first can from SingleCut but not my first taste of their beers which is why I was so excited when my buddy gave me 2 different of their cans because they always deliver on flavor. I mean, this one delivers so much flavor that even AmazonPrime is jealous of it. BOOM! Retail jokes. A huge citrus and pineapple flavor starts this off with wave after wave of bitterness before some oniony and floral hops mix in with a fantastic pine taste with some resin and more sharp citrus flavors mixing in at the end with only a very mild sweetness to finish things up. The only 2 Billys I really care about are Billy Crystal because of City Slickers (1 & 2 duh) and Billy Madison because it clearly to this day is Adam Sandler’s greatest movie and if you disagree with that you probably hate Mexicans. Why Mexicans? I have no idea but if you don’t like that movie there is definitely hate in your heart. If you are looking for one of the better examples of the style on the market and have a high tolerance for hoppy beers, this is the beer for you because it does not shy away from aggressive hop flavor but still stays sessionable enough to destroy at any pace. For those newcomers with softer palates, run from this because it will ruin your life. Cheers!
