âThank-you, anymore people know about my inner turmoils they might turn into outer turmoils.â he threw back at the sarcastic remark. Sticking his smoke between his lips as he fished one out for his bench partner. âIf only my friends and family agreed with your statement. They seem to think almost hitting 40 and not being with someone is a sign of emotional trouble.â he couldnât help but roll his eyes as he hands over the cigarette. âSo I am simply humoring them. And I probably wonât reply to a woman who profile practically says âwe are going to be married with children in 6 monthsâ. I donât like those vibes.â
âbless you,â abel mumbled, taking the cigarette from the man and slotting it between his lips once it was lit. he brought a deep pull in and pushed a slow breath out. âwhy doesnât anybody see not needing to be with someone as a sign of strength? a sign that youâre all good with you?.â he took another pull, looking up at the sky. contemplative. âi completely understand having to humor family, though,â abel sighed, shifting the subject. he thought back to his past. back before heâd quit the corporate job he couldnât stomach and moved into his brotherâs basement. back when he used to spend every bit of energy that his mind numbing desk job didnât siphon out of him on putting up false pretenses for his parents. trying to hide from them the fact that a life without pursuing his music was killing him inside...
