you didn't ask for this, and yet here you are, begging for it with those honey sweet eyes. suddenly the earth's core isn't so hot and the universe isn't so cold. the feelings are so raw, elemental. it's all you ever wanted, a part of you that has always existed like the matter you're made of. yes, you never asked. but it's clear how much you wish you had.

only for every step to be a waste

hunting me down

your budget must be so high

because i always fall for you

when you land in my dreams

the eye of the storm

while my loved ones scream their warnings

but the wind i do not feel

as it whisks away their futile words

the thunder roars

while i dance in the silence

if i stay in the eye of the storm

taking perfect steps to remain

i won’t have to face the whirlwinds, the surges, the rain

my life will know everything but pain
