My bills:

it’s pretty fucked up when they stumbled into narnia thru the wardrobe but it’d be way more fucked up if like a centaur wandered outside for like five minutes
imagine being a centaur and wandering out into a wardrobe and being like “wow whys everything all shitty and boring wtf bye” and you turn around and 1000 years went by
Its friday post Vladislav Cat
Listen I know that it’s the 2018-way to immediately compare every single American government corruption to the Nazis but uh, you actually don’t need to do an international comparison when trying to show the horrors of separating children from their families and putting them in “camps”.
Turns out America did that too:
(The above are pictures from Japanese Internment Camps in WWII, located right here in America. More info on the subject: x )
In fact, they did it more than once:
(The above are pictures of German-Americans who were also detained in American states. More info: x )
In fact, they did it a lot:
(The above are photos from the American Native-American “boarding schools” which separated Native American children from their families so that they could be brainwashed into embracing the white “Christian” American way. More info: x )
So when you see these appalling images in the news:
don’t start comparing America to WWII Germany.
Start comparing America to America.
Because we’ve always done this and, as long as we can get away with it, we always will.
Oh, dear OP, we didn’t JUST also do it: We were the country that inspired Hitler.
Thank you for that addition, Americans don’t seem to realise this but it’s taught in schools everywhere in Western Europe (surprise surprise). Hitler was indeed inspired by the American concentration camps and asked them for help on how to build them as effectively and efficiently as possibly because the Americans had them running so … cleanly, I think is the word they used. You don’t need to look far to find the final solution, just ask your administration which ethnic group it is this year. Trump’ll give you a tweet back on it, I’m sure.
In order to make a relationship last, you really have to flow with a person as they change. Give them space. My friend always told me about his grandfather who was with his wife for 60 years before she passed. His grandfather said that through all that time, his wife changed so much it felt like he had been with 8 different people by the end. But he said the secret to making it last was that through all those changes, he never suffocated his wife with his own idea of who he expected her to be. Rather he loved, fully, every new woman she became.
remember when you could say stuff like “the earth is round” or “nazis are bad” and be absolutely certain everyone who heard you would agree
remember when you could say “we shouldn’t attack children with tear gas” and be absolutely certain everyone who heard you would agree
so glad the important parts of this post are completely circled so my brain doesnt fry it self trying to comprehend this complex message
