End of the Fiscal Year $$$ Grab
Yahoo/Tumblr's pornography ban (aka female nipples and not male nipples!) true intent. Realize that the Tumblr December 17th deadline for nudity/undesirable content is awful in regards to so much lost artwork and pieces people have made over the years. Reports of non-pornographic posts have been deleted at random as well. Also it's being done at the end of the fiscal year so the influx of rushed panicked traffic helps Yahoo end their year on a positive monetary website traffic note while the users end it on a panicked note, trying to keep content accessibility open as the ever narrowing shared source content options become fewer and fewer. Sparking us into AKA SAVE EVERY IMAGE, VIDEOS, WORDS, AND GIFS AS POSSIBLE as $$$ goes up. They are actually managing double revenue to appease the companies that want to run ads on the site but don't approve of pornography while reeling those in panic to the site to be exposed to said ads. Mind you, Yahoo earlier in the year changed their fiscal year end date from September to December so they were already preparing for this. Sellouts. On a side note Newgrounds has opened its doors to open content (and it's actually crashing because of it!) Thanks Tom Fulp for giving us a sanctuary for art. It sucks that Tumblr, the website that saved me from depression spells and gave variety to artworks and content in a unique way, could end up becoming like this. On the flip side, the porn bots/fake accounts are annoying as hell. If only they would focus on THAT... RIP Tumblr T_T
