"I-Its okay..b-being an only c-child w-wasnt t-too b-bad i guess, but i bet h-having siblings a-around you w-was r-really n-nice! I-I would have l-loved t-to have someone a-around me a-as a k-kid.. A-And i guess n-not having s-siblings m-meant no f-fights w-with them.." Eri kinda giggled a little nervously "I-I got to h-have a lot of t-time to m-myself s-since i had n-no siblings a-after all t-though.."

Eri smiled gently and Haruye, it must have been nice to have siblings after all..Eri would never understand that though..

"Guess that’s how you got so smart, huh? I mean, when y’get bored you’re always tryin’ to find somethin’ to do. Heck, I’d have to wonder where I’d be if I had all that time to m’self. Gettin’ here’s a pretty big honor, though, I’d say…"

Haruye had still been working on the owl as she was listening to Eri. It hadn’t totally taken shape yet, but it came a long way from a block. Haruye had to smile; she was improving more and more. “I think I’m gonna be proud of this, Fuyumi-san!”

Eri nodded a little at Haruye before speaking again

"I-I guess s-so..I-I never h-had friends, s-so i always s-stuck to books, t-they were my f-friend in a w-way, and i learned m-many things from t-them..I-It was r-really w-wonderful, i love t-to r-read...A-And g-getting t-to Hopes P-Peak was a huge h-honor for m-me as w-well..I-It c-changed my life..i-in many ways.."

Eri paused for a moment and smiled as Haruye had been working on the small owl, or what she believed was an owl..

"I-I bet its c-coming out w-wonderfully.. I-I cant w-wait t-to feel it w-when its d-done.."

Eri was still decently shaken by bumping into someone, it was something she did way too often and felt horrible about. The countless times she had actually stepped on someones foot with her boots or the countless times she managed to even knock someone down, luckily this time wasnt the case, which was a relief in itself.

As the boy began to speak she focused on his words, still trying to keep herself calm and not freak out anymore than she already had. What a great first impression to make on someone, you bumped into them good going Eri.

Feeling him place his hand on her shoulder as she stood back up straight she weakly smiled before she spoke again.

"I-I am truly s-sorry for b-bumping into you..I-I wish there was a b-better way for m-me to know where i a-am going, b-but alas t-that is no l-longer possible for me, being b-blind and a-all. I-its something I must live with s-so i a-apologize once more for b-bumping into y-you.."

Eri spoke in her soft voice before bowing again one last time to insure to him that she was truly sorry for rudely bumping into him. He seemed really nice about it, which helped ease her worries.

"O-Oh n-no no..y-you did nothing w-wrong..y-you aren’t the one who w-walks around b-bumping into tables a-and chairs on a d-daily basis..this h-happens t-too often for me t-to even count a-anymore..i-it is r-rather f-frustrating I do admit."

Eri spoke once again softly, and then listened to him speak again. He had a calming voice, one easily to be remembered which made it easier on her when it came to memorizing everyone’s voices.

"O-Oh..n-no i wasn’t l-looking for a-anyone in p-particular..m-more or less j-just trying t-to meet everyone o-on the ship. Its i-important for m-me to t-try and get used t-to everyone’s v-voices so i k-know who is who..s-since it does seem we will b-be embarking on this l-learning c-cruise..for sometime after all."

Eri paused for a short second before continuing

"O-Oh where a-are my m-manners..I-I am Eri Fuyumi, SHSL Scholar, it’s a p-pleasure t-to meet you sir..M-May i a-ask your n-name? I-If you don’t m-mind that i-is?"

Upon finishing her sentence she smiled at the boy again, this time less nervous than she did when she first began to speak while still being shaken.

Ryo’s smile never left him as he continued listening to the small girl. No longer possible? So she wasn’t blind at one point in time? He crouched over as he listened to her, his violet eyes scanning her expression and eyeing her bandage that she kept across her eyes. He listened to her words carefully, realizing every stutter, every pitch and dip her voice makes as she apologizes for doing nothing more than running into his backside. She seemed nice, not too irritating. He kept his gloved hand stuffed into his pocket and the other gently resting on her shoulder as her words came to him.

The air around Ryo could be felt as warm and welcoming. He kept a bright smile on his face, even though she could not see it. His voice was smooth and silky, with a hint of gravel laced in it. He squeezed her shoulders as she expressed her worry and answered his question. He chuckled a little at her examples and patted her.

"Oh don’t worry, dear~ You’re quite fine!! If you ever require assistance in navigating this vessel I will surely lend my services! If you need a crutch, or someone to hold your arm as you walk gracefully down the halls of this ship, I shall be there for you, dear, huehue!!" 

Ryo’s laugh was lighthearted and slightly breathy as he leaned forward and patted the girl. He stopped and thought about her next question. His eyes narrowed as he smiled at the sound of her utterance. A scholar? He thought to himself, What an interesting title! He nodded and stood straight once more.

"Oh hohoho, I do not mind at all, dear! I am Ryo Shinjitsu, the Super High School Level Orator~ It is quite an honor and pleasure to meet you, my dear! I hope to have a wonderful and joyous nautical journey of educational enlightenment with you! I am sure we can learn many things together as we study and grow into independent and educated young adults! I hope that we can find one another’s company to be most endearing; I already am happy in meeting you, Fuyumi-san~"

Eri stood there, hands now folded into each other listening to the smooth voice of the boy. Focusing on his words as he spoke, something she often did to get a sense of personality out of someone since she couldn't see their faces. She could tell by his voice alone that he was rather pleasant to be around as well as his choice of words, a smart boy he was which made her face light up a little more. Feeling him squeeze her shoulder made her smile a little at him.

"I-I may have to take you u-up on that offer, considering I-I continue t-to bump into things and people after all..Its rather embarrassing as i mentioned b-before, and I rather a-avoid actually hurting someone. So thank you for t-the offer, if you a-are willing..I-I would appreciate the assistance"

Eri bowed once more to him in appreciation to the offer, it was rather kind of him to offer to help her after all. She could tell he was pleasant to be around and rather helpful, which she enjoyed since she was this way herself in multiple situations. Hearing him laugh made her smile a little more, she was getting rather comfortable around this individual and had hopes they could become good friends, he seemed like great company for this long journey.

"Ryo Shinjitsu? What a wonderful name.. It m-means you most l-likely Exceed, Survive, Excel in many things.. Y-You must already know a-all this though S-Shinjitsu-san considering you are rather s-smart, your n-name fits you r-rather well"

Eri smiled softly at Ryo before continuing, hoping she hadn't said anything out of place. She tucked her hands into her pockets now, more relaxed now.

"I-Its a p-pleasure to m-meet you as well S-Shinjitsu-san, I do believe w-we will have a w-wonderful journey t-together as well we will learn m-many things while o-on this learning adventure, I-I do hope so at least..I-I wonder what w-we will b-be learning a-after all..Even as a S-Scholar, I still strive to l-learn new things e-everyday, which m-makes me c-curious what w-will we b-be learning a-after all on this ship traveling through unknown a-abyss?"

Eri laughed a little at the thought of what they could be learning, her worst fear when it came to learning was learning something she had already studied in great detail. But it wasn't too much to be afraid of, if this happened she could just help the others out better if she was asked to do so.

"I-I as well am already enjoying your company Shinjitsu-san, you a-are wonderful t-to talk to if i may say s-so"

Eri spoke in her usual soft, sweet tone and then smiled once again.

"Y-Yeah! I-I understand completely.. once you have done s-something for so long i-it eventually becomes a part of you a-and becomes m-much easier as you do it more and more. It is v-very impressive indeed, i wouldnt put yourself d-down over i-it..i-i cant do any manual l-labor of a-any sort..t-that i can think of at the moment a-at least.. I-I may know a lot of s-stuff, b-but it most likely wont get m-me very f-far once im out o-of school..w-whats a S-Scholar without s-school after all.."

"I-I bet all your w-work is b-beautiful, if only i-i was able t-to see it..I-I bet you have had m-many w-wonderful projects after all..t-the most i have e-ever done is t-teach someone G-German in the span of a month..t-they were very d-dedicated to l-learning it too.."

Eri paused for a moment when the subject of family came up, a topic she rarely talked about because of her home life, but Haruye didn’t know..

"I-Im an o-only c-child..w-what about you?"

Eri hesitated a little on speaking that last sentence.

Haruye was a little surprised by the answer. Everyone she knew back home had at least a couple siblings, herself included. She thought for a second and realized kids might not be as necessary in other parts of the world.

"Sorry about bein’ an only child. For me, I was born in a family with two boys, then came another girl and another boy, so I had three brother and a sister. They get on m’nerves a lot, but it really is nice havin’ people to grow up with. Still, I guess there’s some benefits to not havin’ other kids around. You don’t have anyone to fight over your stuff with, right?"

FUMIYO || || CHAPTER 1 START

"Well, these teachers are… Odd. At least a lack of entertainment wont seem to be an issue on this trip. -And oooh, is that a bar I see on this map? If there were actual alcohol there, well I can safely say these teachers have no clue just what they are doing."  The chess-master said aloud to no one  in particular. She wasn’t joking: judging by just the teachers (Really? A frog and a magical girl teaching everyone on a boat? Well at least the monokuma person seems to not be playing along with that silly charade the other two have going on,) this ride would be either the most fun, or annoying, trip she will ever go on.

Though, she has to give them some credit: This ID is quite impressive. A map, all her information available on the screen, and possibly more features to come. Quite generous of them to gift out these nifty little things. Having the information of everyone down on their own personal cards may lead to some awkward situations, but its not like she is going to let this thing out of her sight. Who knows, it might just have some functions and settings to play around with.

Looking around, there were quite a fair number of classmates looking at their respective IDs as well. While peeking over their shoulders to see would be rude and tough to pull off, it could also prove to lead to an interesting conversation. At any case, she may as well introduce herself to those she will be spending several months with. 

She walked over to one student, lightly tapping them on their shoulder to get their attention.

"I must ask for curiosities sake: On a scale of one to ten, how much does it concern you that there seems to be a bar on this boat? I mean, considering the fact that our supervisors seem like they need supervisors themselves, that is."

Eri had been standing off to the side, trying to stay out of everyones way. She had managed to talk to a few people so far, but she didnt want to bother anyone else honestly. She felt like she had already annoyed the ones she talked to enough by now. She stood there and hummed for a moment before deciding to head back to her room before feeling someone tap her on the shoulder. She turned around to face the female voice then bowed.

"T-Theres a b-bar on t-this s-ship?W-What on e-earth?W-Well..a-actually i-it doesn't s-surprise me w-with t-those t-teachers..h-how they are..they s-seem like t-the drinking type a-after all..but then its out in t-the open for the s-students..i wonder..how many p-people would actually use that t-to their advantage.."

Eri stood up straight and fixed her posture and tilted her head to the side a little. You could see her bandage better now. What was that thing?

"O-Oh where are my manners, I-Im Eri Fuyumi, SHSL Scholar, its a p-pleasure to m-meet you miss..I-I dont believe i-i caught y-your n-name..?"

Eri was trying to be polite as always,and hopefully not being over bearing in the process.

"A-A lot of time o-outside? T-Thats n-neat..I-I rarely g-go outside o-only because of t-the dangers of b-being b-blind and possibly w-walking into someone or something. B-But i-it must be n-nice g-going outside a-and getting s-some sun..e-even though it s-sounds like y-you d-do a lot of hard w-work while o-out there..A-As well as b-being t-the c-carpenter..w-which is a w-wonderful t-talent if I-I haven’t s-said s-so yet..i-its a l-lost art i-in my o-opinion, i t-think i-its wonderful w-what you d-do. Y-You can t-turn what n-nature has p-provided into s-something b-beautiful a-after all..

I-I s-sounds d-decently s-simple, b-but can b-be demanding a-at times i-i can a-assume s-safely I think?”

Eri smiled at her again, it was wonderful learning about the farm she lived and worked on, she hadn’t seen or heard of a farm since moving away from Finland, on top of her accident that is.

"Well, that’s awful kind of you to say, Fuyumi-san! It’s not easy, but when you’ve done it as long as I have it’s just natural to ya, you know? I don’t know if it’s as impressive as knowin’ a bunch of science and foreign languages and stuff, but it really does pay off in the end."

Haruye paused her knife for a moment; the block of wood looked a lot more like a blob than an owl, but it was obvious the carving was beginning to take shape.

"Smaller-scale stuff like this wasn’t always easy for me like the bigger stuff was. It’s nice that I’ve got a mentor helpin’ me out; ever since he offered to take me on, I’ve been gettin’ the hang of this more and more." Suddenly, a thought crossed Haruye’s mind.

"So…you got any siblin’s?"

Eri paused and giggled a little before speaking again

“Thats wirioneddol wych, i gwrdd â rhywun arall sy’n siarad llawer o ieithoedd yn union fel me..Have chi llwyddo i ddadbacio eto?”

Eri softly smiled after speaking, it was so great to meet someone as fluent in languages as her..it was sort of an instant bonding sort of thing with Kumi for sure.. and she hoped that they could talk in many languages together in the future.

"E Ehe, thank you. I appreciate that a lot. You’re wonderful, you know that? I haven’t met anyone quite like you, and yes, I would like to curse at the insufferable in  foreign tongues with you. That would be… most enjoyable. Speaking of enjoyable things, would you care to explore the ship a bit? I’m feeling a tad bit restless, you know. This sort of things always happens when I go on ships, I become too restless to stay in one place for long. Ah, that’s me, capricious and always flowing, just like the mighty ocean itself." 

Inari also took a pause to look at the rest of the ship, their grin widening slightly.

"Na, yr wyf yn dal yn rhaid i ddadbacio. Wyf am edrych yn gyntaf, er. Ah, beth bynnag yr ydych am ei wneud."

This was proving to be a most enjoyable trip, and this girl was very enjoyable company. Inari felt in their bones that this trip would be their most memorable one yet.

Eri let out a small laugh after saying that

"E-Explore t-the s-ship?S-Sure!T-That sounds like a-a good idea..I-I would be n-nice t-to walk a-around a little b-bit a-after all.."

"O-Owls a-are very l-lucky indeed! S-So..m-maybe we d-do need some good l-luck on this c-cruise..y-you never know.."

Eri yawned a little and listened to Haruye work on the wood, she could hear every stroke of the knife hit the wood and once again it calmed her. This ship was somewhat scary for her so anything that could distract her from that was great. Not being able to see the water around you, and never knowing if you would walk over the side of the boat was a scary thought for her.

"I-It really is n-nice getting t-to meet new p-people i d-do agree..I-I don’t meet m-many people very often. I normally just stay in my dorm room all day a-and play my v-violin..o-or r-read books..B-because of that i-i normally don’t m-make friends..

Ive b-been meaning t-to ask you t-this..I-I hope you don’t m-mind..B-but what is a f-farm like..?”

Haruye thought for a moment about it. She could probably talk for hours about life on the farm, but she didn’t know just where to start of what to compare it to.

"Well…um, you spend a lot of time outside, for one thing. Your hands are always movin’, too. For me, I’m usually workin’ on a chair or a table or somethin’ for us or the neighbors, since that’s pretty much my job in the community. Everyone who works on the crops is out tendin’ or harvestin’ dependin’ on the season. Then of course there’s livestock to take care of. Of course, since we’re in a community, we help each other out a good bit. Everyone shares a little bit of the produce too, which is good since my family runs a tobacco farm, and y’can’t exactly eat that. It’s a simple life, I guess, but not too easy."

Eri had been slowly wandering around the ship, feeling the smooth edges of the halls and familiarizing herself with the ship. She knew it was going to take some time to get used to being in this new location so she was making sure she took all the time she needed to feel out the details of the ship as well as remember where all the walls were..

Eri leaned up against a wall for a moment to catch her breath before heading further down the hall and thinking about what exactly all was on the ship.. was there a library of some sort possibly..or even an archive either would be wonderful for her.. but then again neither of those have a chance of having any braille materials or audio devices. Eri let out a small sigh in disappointment to her own thoughts before walking into someone and she jumped back a little.

"O-Oh my g-gosh..i-im..i-im so sorry..I-I.."

Eri was clearly embarrassed for bumping into someone..she didnt know what to say honestly and just stood there before bowing to the person who she had bumped into. What if they yell at me..I didnt mean to bump into them but.. what if i hurt them..

"I-Im s-so sorry..I-I didnt mean t-to bump i-into you..I-I hope i didnt h-hurt you at all..I-If i d-did i would..g-gladly help you fix whatever i-i have c-caused..I-Im so s-sorry.."

Eri bowed quickly in apologies, she felt horrible for bumping into someone again.. what if she stepped on them or had accidentally kicked them while walking..

After a talk with a certain astrological individual, Ryo found himself wandering once more, eyes grazing along the crowd. He saw a couple interacting, some were staring back at him, some were standing around in silent solitary. He too stood in silence as he watched the others explore the ship they found themselves on, his eyes kept gazing to the three odd ‘teachers’ of this ship… Aren’t they a motley crew, he thought to himself. This is going to be one fun journey… He began to step forward towards the group of students, only for him to feel a smaller figure run straight into him! He spun around quickly to gaze down at the figure who had bumped into him, reaching out in case he needed to help anyone up. His eyes widened with surprise as he looked down to see… a bandaged individual stuttering and bowing to him. She was quite small as well. He chuckled lightly to himself as he rested a gentle hand on her shoulder and asked her with a push to stand up straight once more. 

"Quiet quiet, dear… You didn’t hurt anything on my person, I had nothing on me that you could damage! Hue… You needn’t worry about me… But I must worry about you… Will you be alright?”

He bent down and began to pat her shoulders and stare at her face, then the gaze drifted downward as he began to look around on the floor in case she dropped or misplaced anything. He giggled lightheartedly as he shook his head and found nothing notable. 

"Oh no, you must forgive me for I was the one who was standing in the middle of the hall unannounced! I was just loitering about endangering the others if I be in their way!”

He smiled a kind smile- even though he had the idea she could not quite see what he was doing, he felt it necessary anyhow. He straightened up as he looked around and then back down at the other one, his smile still on his face, 

"Were you in need of any assistance, dear? Were you searching for something or someone? Huehue.. Forgive my crude manners! I must ask your name first~ What do you go by?”

Eri softly smiled at the carpenter. Haruye was really fun to be around, and Eri was a bit more curious about her talent to be honest. She wanted to know more about what exactly a carpenter did but she was afraid to ask. She continued to sit there and listen for a few moments before replying.

"H-How about an owl..owls are small and cute animals..I-I dont believe they would be t-too hard to make, would i-it? Owls are m-mysterious a-animals..o-or maybe even a r-rabbit?"

Eri let out a soft giggle after speaking, happy to hopefully help decide on something for her..she loved listening to the sound of the knife and woof meet each other. It was almost a peaceful and calming noise.

"Good idea, Fuyumi-san! T’be honest, I think we could use the luck from an owl. Not that we really need it, but it helps to have, y’know?" As she spoke, Haruye started picturing the contours of an owl mentally, based on all the ones she’d seen around her farm. She slid her knife carefully and efficiently across the block with each stroke, paying careful attention to the texture of the wood. Eri’s giggle, small as it was, brightened the girl’s mood, and she was even more sure this was going to be a great project.

"Gosh, it’s nice meetin’ new people like this…I mean, I don’t get to see people too often since I stay in my town a lot. Not sayin’ it gets lonely; I’ve got lots of friends and family, but you people from out of town sure are interestin’. I’ll admit, I must’ve spent a lot more time on a farm than most of these people."

Eri yawned a little and listened to Haruye work on the wood, she could hear every stroke of the knife hit the wood and once again it calmed her. This ship was somewhat scary for her so anything that could distract her from that was great. Not being able to see the water around you, and never knowing if you would walk over the side of the boat was a scary thought for her.

"I-It really is n-nice getting t-to meet new p-people i d-do agree..I-I don't meet m-many people very often. I normally just stay in my dorm room all day a-and play my v-violin..o-or r-read books..B-because of that i-i normally don't m-make friends..

Ive b-been meaning t-to ask you t-this..I-I hope you don't m-mind..B-but what is a f-farm like..?"

Eri laughed a little after speaking, she liked talking about her talent, but sometimes it confused people a little too much for her to explain everything that went along with it. She sometimes felt like it intimidated others but she tried not to dwell on that too much.

"I-I would be m-more than happy t-to help you o-out anytime y-you need..I-I do wonder w-what k-kind of c-classes this s-ship is g-going to o-offer! A-And..I-I would l-like t-to help you i-if you ever n-needed it..i-Ive been t-told im g-good a-at explaining things.

She smiled at him and bowed kindly, he seemed really nice and would like to learn more about his talent in the future if the chance showed up again. She liked all kinds of musics, so a new kind fascinated her just a little bit.

"That sounds fantastic, Miss Eri. We’ll have to arrange something some time then. We’d be able to teach each other things at the same time! How great would that be?"

He considered it for a moment, and wondered if there was a piano on board. There had to be, right? In a lounge, restaurant, music room, there had to be somewhere with a piano. If she didn’t like his electronic music, he’d maybe teach her about classical instead - that is, if she didn’t already know about it.

Having only spoken with her a few minutes, there was now way of knowing if she’d just listened to certain music or if she knew about it, too.

"Hey what do you know about classical? Like, piano concertos in particular."

Asking rather abruptly, he waited eagerly for a response in that cute, quiet stutter of hers.

"T-That is a wonderful i-idea..we could t-teach each other about things t-that we know! I-I would love t-to learn more about what y-your s-specialty in the m-music f-field is, after all i do play p-piano and v-violin myself..

Eri smiled politely after speaking and stuck her hands in her pockets. She wondered if she would ever get the chance to play her violin for anyone..or if anyone would actually enjoy it? Not everyone was a fan of violin music so she did hope that someone would enjoy listening if she ever had the chance to play.

Eri paused for a moment before replying to him again and then smiled when he brought up classical music..one thing she was a fan of.

"Yes! I d-do know of C-Classical..I-Im a fan of m-many types of m-music..including heavy metal..but I myself  c-can only p-play classical p-pieces..b-but i have t-tried to do renditions o-of many m-more p-popular songs i-in many c-cultures.."

Eri laughed a little at herself. She remembered the last time she tried to do a rendition of a song, it didn't go very well..but it was just more practice for her she supposed.

Eri walked in, and sat down on the bed at the same time Haruye did. She laid back on the empty spot behind her. It had been such a tiring day with meeting people, unpacking and just walking around in general. She sat back up for a moment and smiled at Haruye

"I-Im sorry i-its messy s-still..i-ill have to c-clean it up later on t-tonight b-before i get to b-bed..I-It will take some time b-but..i-i dont mind since w-we have t-time anyways.." Eri paused for a moment

Hearing her begin to slice some wood she smiled and thought of what she could be making?

"O-Oh a-a scholar..w-well..what i work w-with is a-all sorts of k-knowledge..I-Ive learned things from L-Literature to Sciences..O-Oh! a-and as well i k-know m-many l-languages..i-including f-french, g-german and welsh.."

Eri smiled at her hoping she hadn’t spoke too much about her Talent..there was a lot to her Talent after all..but she was glad to talk about it when she was asked about it.

"Well, that sounds pretty respectable to me! T’be honest, I thought you were some kind of tutor, but if you know that much, you might as well be a library! I mean, I did pretty well in school if I say so m’self, but even I couldn’t remember all that stuff for the life of me."

Haruye smiled back at Eri; it was good to be on a ship full of gifted people like her, and to think if all these people had talents like this… Haruye looked over at her new friend as she continued working, and could tell that Eri was interested in her project. Since she had some free time, the carpenter was trying to get in a little practice. She started carving out something, but didn’t really have a clear idea of just what to make. With a bit of frustration and confusion on her face, Haruye turned towards Eri.

Eri jumped back a little at the small outburst that the boy had. She didn’t mean to upset him if she did..it was honestly the truth though, she had never heard what his line of work called for..but she was very curious and excited to learn more about it..after all she loved learning.

"Y-yeah..i-im sorry i have n-never heard a-any electronic music b-but..t-that d-doesn’t m-mean i wouldn’t want to hear some..or even learn more about your talent..I do l-like to learn n-new things a-after all..being a s-scholar and all..i-i always like to l-learn new things everyday if i e-ever get the c-chance t-to do so..

Eri paused for a moment, thinking about what she had said. She meant it, she loved learning more about others talents..or just about others in general..the world was always changing around her and it fascinated her.

"Y-Yes! W-We will have t-to fix my lack of k-knowledge on your t-talent at some point..i-i would like that very much"

B-But..I-Im knowledgable in nearly e-every s-subject, including m-math even though i cant r-really..d-do it anymore..well at least with my disability o-of being b-blind and all."

Eri paused once again before continuing

"I-I as well know m-multiple l-languages..i-including; French,Latin,Italian and many more.. that’s just to n-name a few"

"Damn, girl, you make me feel kind of stupid. I guess that’s why you’re the scholar and not me, right?"

Oblivious to possibly startling the girl, he laughed rather loudly and placed a hand on her shoulder. Though the fact that he wasn’t exactly as quick a learner as he used to be had a little bit to do with… Things he encountered while on tours and at concerts, he wasn’t ashamed of it. 

"Maybe you could help me out a bit if I need some tutoring for these classes on the ship, eh? I was never really interested in that kind of stuff, but maybe if a nice girl like you explained it… Maybe I could get into it."

He gave her a nice grin, even though she couldn’t see it. Half flirting and half being completely serious, he hoped that his cheerful mood came across in his voice.

  Eri stood there silently for a moment, thinking about her room and how she was going to get used to the ship..There was so much to learn already..but that didnt matter now.. she needed to try and greet everyone.

Hearing the boy speak she smiled at him and bowed once again

"I-its a p-pleasure t-to meet you A-Akiyama-san..E-Electronic M-Music..?T-Thats p-pretty c-cool! I-I havent h-heard a-any e-electronic m-music before..a-at least i dont t-think so..I-I mean ive heard a little bit of remixes i suppose of violins and other sorts.. b-but thats about it

Yoshiro seemed pretty nice..she bowed to him once again in respect and smiled at him. She would be sure to try and get to know him better along this cruise for sure..

"Haven’t heard - ! I can’t even believe this. That’s cool. I’m cool."

Yoshiro took a deep breath to calm himself. He’d run into people who’d never heard electronic music before. It was just so foreign an idea, considering he was almost constantly surrounded by the stuff. Electronic was what he left classical for, it was what he lived for.

He really loved the music, and felt excited to perhaps get to show this girl his line of work. 

"We’ll have to fix that, won’t we? I love it, and remixes are nice and all but it’s the original works that are always the best. But that’s enough about me, you said you’re a scholar right? You have any certain subject you like the most, or do you just know everything about anything..?"

Eri’s face lit up a little when hearing that Haruye wanted to check her room out. She stood there for a moment as she waited for her to stand up.

"A-Alright lets g-go to my r-room..i-i cant g-guarantee its very nice..o-or different than yours b-but..lets go!"

Eri giggled a little as they walked towards her room, upon arriving she opened the door with her ID and walked in, holding the door open for Haruye.

The room was decently clean except for the bed, the bed had stuff laid on it, from clothes to books and an instrument case..but what kind? It sort of looked like a Violin case. The floor also had a large suitcase which was half opened, with an assortment of things in it.

"W-Well how d-does it l-look..?S-Sorry if its a l-little m-messy..i-i attempted to unpack, and im not even sure if i-i put things where they belonged just yet..Since im not familiar w-with the r-room right n-now"

Haruye took a quick look around the room before finding an uncluttered spot on the bed and sitting down. She was a bit curious about some of the stuff around the room, but didn’t think twice on it, since it’d be awfully nosy of her. Besides, it wasn’t any more interesting than her own room, like Eri said. Still, Haruye felt awfully warm and excited to be someone’s guest in a new place like this. She put her eyes on Eri and both hands in her lap.

"Well, I’ve definitely seen worse, Fuyumi-san. It’s just real nice bein’ over here, especially since I barely even got to know anyone here." As she spoke, the carpenter pulled a small block of wood and her whittling knife out of her pocket, then began slicing out the wood. "So, scholar, eh? What kinda stuff do you work with?"

  Eri softly giggled softly and smiled, she was glad that Sayuri knew who Joan Miro was, instead of having to explain super quick like she had to in the past to a few other people she had known.

"Y-Yeah..I-I wouldn’t want to look like a painting..t-that wouldnt be v-very good..so im glad that i-i dont. And yes! I was excited to meet others as well e-even thought i am d-decently shy..i-i need to t-try and m-meet everyone the b-best i c-can t-that is..since w-we will all be t-together for awhile o-on this s-ship.

Oh i-i unpacked already before coming o-out t-to meet e-everyone..not fully b-but i got enough of my stuff out to have a d-decent head start..”

Eri smiled happily at the girl, she most likely would need to unpack the rest soon before she went to bed..

For a second she had forgotten that yes there were other people to meet and with that she bowed, walking away quickly, looking for her next target.
