"So I'd heard, myself... I'm more surprised Fiona left. I suppose losing Freya would have been rather hard on her, the poor thing. Poppy... Well, the writing was on the wall for quite some time. Can't say I blame her with how dysfunctional a family we Pointers were. Though I had assumed Poppy might stay longer... I suppose she didn't have anything left keeping her there."

Crave is too mild a word. Penny needs touch, is desperate for it. She would do anything to have it, to not lose it. At night she dreams of even just the brush of a hand against her own. It's just a shame her fiancé isn't the type for physical acts of affection...

Penny wants a future where she means something to someone. To anyone at all. It's hard to picture anybody in it, however, when time and again she's been second best. Unimportant. Unloved. It certainly doesn't help that not even her future husband is actually choosing her. Not that she would ever say as much. Not that she cares... Even without this, he likely would not be in her ideal picture perfect future, though she has not truly thought about why this is. Ultimately, all she can hope for is perhaps her hard work paying off. Perhaps a successful career will be enough for her.
