I'm back!

Hey everyone! Writer updates!

Thanks for waiting around while I disappeared for a bit - I've still been writing, just going back and forth between projects.

ABNORMAL: I know most of you followed for the interactive game, but I'm converting it to a regular novel instead. The branching paths were driving me crazy, and honestly the story just works better this way. Maybe I'll try the game thing again someday, but right now I'm sticking with novels. Posted the first 4 chapters free here!!!

This covers past the first cutscene from the game. Should go way faster now that I'm not dealing with all those different paths.

OUTLIER: So this actually started as fanfic forever ago, and I turned it into an original FBI thriller/romance. Writing it was much more relaxing than the interactive stuff. Writing Update: Two Projects in Progress!

Quick clarification for those that didn't see last post... I'm converting my Choicescript WIP in a novel instead, all the coding has made it not fun to write, and since I want to finish the story this is the best option.

New content: Just posted chapters 1-4 of The Outlier Book 2.This picks up where Book 1 left off, following FBI agent Ashlen as she goes back to undercover work. But when she has to work with someone from her past, things get complicated fast.

As for updates to the game, I'm sorry it's been a few months since the last update. I recently found out that I'm pregnant, and writing has been the last thing on my mind. I am still working on it, but updates will take longer.

Meet Shawn Johnson!

Shawn Johnson is the youngest Captain in the history of the City Guard. He was just promoted not even a month ago.

With his shaggy blond hair and athletic build, he's hard to miss. Known for his confidence, which sometimes borders on arrogance, and his flirtatious behavior.

Many view him more as a "player" than a true "leader." But beneath that exterior lies a man with powerful ambitions. Shawn is working towards merging the City Guard and the Protectors, with hopes of leading both as Captain.

Mini Update 11/28/2024

First off, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

With the Holidays, I haven't got to write as much as I want too. But, since it's been a month… I thought I'd put out a small update.

This update is only focused on your journal (STATS screen). The Journal now shows…

1. Your name, your job title, and your community readiness.

2. An old Protector handbook written one hundred years ago.

3. Character descriptions and their feelings towards you.

4. Your personal journal with past and current entries.

The actual stats have not been added into the game yet, example you can be nice/mean to someone and the relationship bar will not move. That is being worked on.

For those interested in Romances; all new recruits, Alice, Shelly and Shawn will be romanceable.

Meet Michelle "Shelly" Rower

Michelle "Shelly" Rower is the outgoing daughter of Captain Rower. Recognized for her shoulder-length blonde hair, uneven bangs she tried cutting herself, and bright green eyes.

She is known for her friendly demeanor.

Despite her desire to join The Protectors as soon as she was eligible, Shelly faced opposition from her father, who was hesitant to let her take on such a risky role. Instead, she currently works for Miss Sharon, helping to serve food in the community.

Update! 10/27/2024

The Zombie Apocalypse signaled the end of the world as we knew it, leaving only one percent of the population to survive the ensuing chaos. Now, 150 years later, Zombies are viewed not as monsters but as pests… creatures many have never even seen. The once great Protectors, are now slowly fading into irrelevance as they are taken for granted by those they protect. Can you build them back up, and save your city before it's too late?

This update contains, 16k more words. Along with a new timed cutscene (if you didn’t get a strike cutscene last update!)

Progress on the next update

Hey, Guys! Just wanted to give an update since it's been about a month. So far I have around 12k written.

I need to work on another path that veers into a different direction dependent on what direction you've chosen. (three out of four directions will lead you down the same path.)

Hope within the next two weeks I'll be able to get something out.

New update! 9/19/2024

Sorry for the long-ish update! This update focuses on those that are in group one, or the "perimeter check" there is a new strikes cutscene in there. If your in group two, or arrested those have not been updated.

The polls have came back that you do like the strike cutscenes so they are staying in, but I did change them up a little. Instead of dying and going back to a checkpoint, you'll just continue with a different outcome. Maybe it's something minor like losing a fight, or bigger like a death. The first cutscene will be updated after I finish this chapter.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for taking the time to read my wip and for following me on here!

I can't believe we made it past 100! I didn't even think it was going to get past 10. So this is pretty awesome!

As for next update, I'm still working on it. I'm hoping to get it out in a couple weeks from now. As of now, around 2k words have been written.

Update! 8/16/24

Hey everyone! This update is smaller than last, with 3k new words. I would guess around 1k being seen through playthough. So if you like bigger updates, I would wait until the next one.

Total word count is now 119,899.

This first chapter is almost done with one or two updates left. Haven't added a fast-forward option yet.

Update 8/3/2024

Hey everyone! New update! Like I mentioned last update, I was pretty disorganized and I have been learning to code as I go. So I decided to clean up the code, getting rid of over 20k of unneeded words.

This took a lot of my time, but I did make some progress to further the story with 10k new words. Probably around 5k being seen through a playthrough.

I would delete any saves, I condensed many of the scenes. So older saves will not be updated. (Sorry! Next update will have an option to skip days.)

Next update you'll be getting a new weapon, choosing a mission, and meeting someone new.

Small Update

It's been a long time! But, I'm back and should be updating regularly. This is a smaller update, all timed cutscenes are finished. There are four, with four different outcomes for each.

Alice's path has been added. Story has still not gone past the meeting. Next update will be much larger.

I haven't wrote in a while and I'm VERY disorganized. So I didn't get everything finished that I wanted. But, I promised I'll get something out by Sunday. So here it is!
