Hello, Narraverse/Paraverse fans! I have a little request to make. Narrator shipping has become pretty popular recently! I can see you all are having lots of fun, but I'd like to ask something on behalf of the parts of the fandom not involved. Please, tag your Narrator shipping as selfcest. I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't post it. Just tag it correctly! You all are putting this all in the main tags for The Stanley Parable, for every single fan of the game to see, so it needs to be tagged correctly as selfcest so those who are uncomfortable with it don't have to see it! I've heard from several people that they have been unable to use or look through The Stanley Parable's tags because they're very uncomfortable with selfcest and have no way to avoid it- There's far too many of you for them to block, and that's not a great solution, anyway! This is on a burner account to avoid direct harassment or attacks. Please understand, we aren't trying to police your fun, it's just not everyone's thing, and you're... Kinda making it everyone's thing.
I'd also like to add something OP here has overlooked! Since the post might make some people misunderstand something very important.
It's completely fine to draw your Narrator with another Narrator in an intimate manner without it being regarded as a ship!
If the drawing you're making is NOT a ship and are instead—
A comfort art featuring your Narrator and another artist's Narrator
Your Narrator and another Narrator being in a platonic relationship and are physically or verbally affectionate with each other (I've done this a lot with my friends' Narrators, it's a personal comfort for me hehe)
Basically any drawings involving intimate Narrator-to-Narrator interaction (sorry I can't think of any other examples at the moment ╰(^3^)╯)
Then I think it's perfectly reasonable NOT to put a selfcest tag in your post! Just make sure to SPECIFY THAT IT'S NOT A SHIP! So other people can avoid getting confused. :3
For those people that DO draw Narrator-to-Narrator shipping (romantically and all that) then I think it's for the best that you put a selfcest tag in your post.
This is just a matter of knowing when to recognize if something is actually a ship or not, and how to probably organize which ones fit in which tags, as well as how to specify and tell that information to your audience. (It sounds complicated but I'm just telling you to add it into your post if something is a ship or not lmao)

Not to be a bummer or anything but for the artists that do this, you should probably do as this person here says!
Not saying it's bad or anything, we just need to be respectful towards the viewers who doesn't want to be exposed to this certain content if it's possible! ♡
These are very good points! Thanks for adding on, I totally agree. If you specify that it isn't shipping, of course there's no need!
