My dad was a military parent until I was like 9 and if you're a military kid you already know how often they're deployed. Then when he left the military, he traveled a lot at his second job and would be gone often aswell. Finally a couple years ago he got a new job that he works at home but still he's usually working. And it's not like he's neglectful in any way, he's providing for my family, but still sometimes I wish I spent a little more time with him when I was younger. I'm so used to him being gone when he does travel every once in a while I'm used to it nothing even feels different. I really do enjoy talking to him whenever i do, though majority of the times we talk it's just in the car getting food or smth.
