unnecessary explanation time but the reason i took all the stuff out of my bio is because for a bit i was thinking really hard about presentation vs actuality—especially with the “#1 nightwing fan” epidemic i was talking about yesterday—so then i was like hmmmm what do i say about myself that’s like The Equivalent for that?and i think it’s the title “scholar”—which was also in my bio as “dynamic duo scholar”—and maybe coincidentally or maybe not & (in the least cocky way, i do mean this very genuinely) i feel like “scholar” is the comment or compliment i get the most on my posts/self from other people (other than the RWOAD thing)—which i assume is because im pretty vocally interested in chronology and to put it very lightly i feel like i just do just read A Lot of Comics & have already read A Lot of Comics—BUT THEN this made me have a whole thing about “do people just thinkkkkk i know what im talking about because i TELL them that i think i know what im talking about orrrrr do they think i know what im talking about because i can SHOW i know what im talking about”—also it made me feel like i was being disingenuous which sucks because irl im kind of obsessed with Being Sincere Always and Being True to Yourself + honesty is a biggg deal 2 me (hence why i cite everythingggg & have never ever everrrr cheated on a test in school) and so i had a little bit of spiral…. BUT what actually helped me feel better about (which is kind silly but it did really helpppp) was those reblog games like “what do u follow prev for/what do u think is prev’s signature thing” posts bc then say other things that weren’t in my bio but are just as important 2 me (like dick&talia parallels or bruce&babs parallels or character meta or whatever) while also saying things that were indeed my bio before (variations on “babs understander” and “dynamic duo scholar” and whatever else im missing) so then i was like okay . clearly im not influencing allllllll of what people think about me . and people do seem to be agreeing (esp the people who’s opinions i very genuinely care about & hold in high regard) so we’re #chilling i think 💭💭💭💭

The Bruce and Barbara dynamic is not purely familial nor as easily classifiable as “co workers” for they have a warriors bond. They are inspirational to each other. They know each other’s flaws because they share many traits. They are also very close friends and I think they have inside jokes.

odysseus absolutely does present a threat to penelope if he perceives her as at all unfaithful, and i feel the unfairness of this, and i think people tend to undersell how much tension at least potentially exists between odysseus and penelope. but i'm also like. his reaction, all speculation aside, his actual reaction in the odyssey to her flirting with the suitors is delight, because he immediately ascertains that she is running a con. sorry that they're so in-sync in spite of the forces that try to drive a wedge between them, including their own misgiving hearts. sorry that they invented homophrosyne ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
