Today was certain to be an interesting day, that was for sure.

It was at the end of the term, a single week where student weren't required to come to school. Thus most abandon it without hesitation, the few who came in anyways usually only did so for a day or two. thus leaving the teachers with essentially free reign over the school for the week.

Today was to be interesting indeed. Why? Because today, they were to get Iruma to fight. Iruma had demonstrated a few times that he was surprisingly unwilling to fight back, even to the point of his own detriment. So Sullivan had requested that, If the teachers were willing to give up a day on the week, they see if they could force Iruma to fight back. To find the threshold that had to be passed to get Iruma to fight back. More than a few of the teachers wondered if the threshold even existed.

[Fill in later. notes: The teachers are holding the misfits "hostage" forcing Iruma to fight through them to get to his friends, opera is present, the teachers had way to much fun setting this whole thing up and Buer notes that they may have gone a bit far. Obviously this needs to transition into the scene below]

Buer grimaced, By Lucifer what a fucking mess that reveal was. The discovery of Iruma's grounding, The discovery of all those scars! Finding out that Iruma wasn't Sullivan's grandson (at least not biologically) was… admittedly really obvious in hindsight.

But finding out that Kalego had shoved Iruma off a cliff? Finding out that that was the reason Iruma refused to actually summon Kalego when it mattered? Why Iruma always seemed faintly distrustful of him? for fucks sake the fact that Iruma wasn't even upset made it worse! He just seemed… …faintly disappointed in Kalego, Which was a whole different can of worms.

At the very least in Murmur's therapy session Iruma had acknowledged that his distrust of Kalego was perhaps illogical. As in Iruma's eyes Kalego had proved that it was in fact a mistake, no matter how grave. but… Iruma claimed that he was unlikely to ever trust Kalego entirely. His instincts simply unwilling to trust Kalego again when in their eyes he had already failed. Iruma believed it illogical, as it had been a rather terrible day for Kalego, and there was absolutely zero reason to believe that Iruma couldn't fly. He certainly wouldn't have said so at the very least (and there was a bit of suspicion as to whether or not Kalego would have even believed Iruma at the time.)

Whether or not Iruma had a good enough reason to forgive Kalego was… a contentious topic amongst the teachers. Because, no matter how one looked at it. Kalego had almost killed Iruma, And the teachers were supposed to… not do that? Buer was of the opinion that Iruma had no true reason to forgive Kalego. In the end though it didn't matter. Iruma was for the time being, familiar-less.

Zoning back in Buer looked around. Most of the teachers were gathered, waiting for Iruma to show up. (it was… certainly taking him a while.) Really there were only a few people missing, Murmur, Because he was Iruma's therapist. Kalego, at his own request, he wasn't comfortable fighting Iruma. Shiida for obvious reasons, they didn't want a repeat of the heartbreaker. Dali, A simple matter of safety. Finally Orias, Whilst their intention was to incense Iruma, They really didn't want to make him so angry he would actually try killing someone. And fighting Orias was incredibly frustrating, something Buer knew eminently.

Buer frowned. He had a really bad feeling, like he was about to being in incredible agony, likely from his own bloodline. He had a number of mana potions on him at least, a level of precaution in case something went wrong. But that sense really only went off when his agony was deliberately caused by someone, or the incident was truly catastrophic. Like most of the school had been destroyed kind of catastrophic. Both of which were rather unlikely, given that Iruma knew what was going on. Right? …Right?

"I have a question." Buer called out.

A variety of 'Hm?'s was the response he got.

"Was Iruma ever informed about what was going on today?" He questioned,

The response was way too many perfectly blank stares. Uh oh.

There was the distinct Clunk of the Hall door being opened revealing an Iruma.

His entire posture Screamed unfettered Wrath.

Those are not scenes of Allison attaining or demonstrating any semblance of Royalty. That's Allison deciding she'll make herself a King - a thing Royalty would never do.

Her subsequent actions - disregarding the Republic's guardsmen as beneath her and stepping on them as if they were dirt, for instance - are indicators of her becoming more like the demiurges, which indicates to me that Zoss has failed to find an heir he would consider worthy once again. If all he needed was someone like this Allison, well, Mottom and Solomon would have fit the bill. And hey look:

In a moment in which she divides YISUN's many selves into "people who matter" (herself, her friends, her enemies) and "people that don't deserve to even be addressed or acknowledged" (everyone without the power to match her), there it is again! But bear in mind, ontologically, cosmically, these people are no less God than she is.

If you use iruma wanting to be a demon as a pseudo trans allegory, then i'd like to see iruma... "work-shopping" demonic traits that he'd like. Because people don't just wake up one day and go "Oh i wanna be trans and i wanna be trans specifically like this." it's a process of years that often continues well into their trans life.

You need to put thought into this stuff! especially with how much of a change changing races would cause!

What kinda fangs does he want? little ones? big ones? REALLY big ones?? like the kind balam has? what about a tail? does he want standard demonic? non-standard demonic? colors? does he even want a demonic tail or would he rather an animal tail? or maybe he just wants to make some bullshit. Wings! Big? small? (big) Feathered? scaled? something else? maybe some sorta plating or something? Or for you (me) grounding lovers out there, Does the scar get in the way? does it prevent him from growing wings or can he shed his past in its entirety?

What about more basic Physical changes! Height! Weight! Should he see if he can undo some of the damage from malnutrition?? What about his smell/scent? Does he want pheromones maybe?

Should the form be mostly based around how useful it would be? shedding things that would inconvenience him or is the form a Raw Pure expression of Iruma's soul? Even if it causes some issues?

How does he interface with his new limbs? Does he need to take time to re-adjust to having them or does he move like he's always had them? Does the transformation have any effects on his mind? personality? How does it interface with his instincts? do they "grow larger"? does he have conflicting instincts?

Does iruma choose to go further with the transformation and actually become trans? does he become genderfluid? Is her Genderfluidity a... "physiological" trait or a physical trait? (he just sorta changes genders every so often)

Iruma, Particularly during summer, will shower at school so as to prevent himself from "stinking" whilst he's at school.

And as anyone would tell you, fresh outta the shower is certainly an attractive looks so there's usually a small crowd of misfits waiting in one of the rooms near by so they can see shower Iruma. Iruma of course indulges them cause he thinks it's cute.

A combination of sweaty cloths and active showering leaves the bathroom rather intensely smelling of Him, Which definitely has not helped with the incubus heritage accusations. (not that any of the misfits are complaining about the smell its fucking amazing to them)

I love Nishis writing so much because as much as I think Narnia is evil, he's technically right. A bit of a douche but still right.

If an anomalous entity came to earth, introduced potentially dangerous ideas, start to mysteriously garner a large following and popularity, became a future candidate for the ruler of the whole world, but you also know for a fact that it can also cause people to go absolutely insane if consumed and that there are legends describing such creatures as delicious prompting people to want to consume them then yeah,

I would deport that thing too.

But we don't agree with it because we've become attached to Iruma. Because we've seen him laugh and cry and grow with demons. Because we saw that its possible for humans and demons to coexist on the condition that no demon ever finds out it's a human.

Please note that in Japan, Iruma would be in middle school.

Could you trust a middle schooler to be responsible and keep such a large secret safe? I personally wouldn't.

So I wonder where Nishi is going with this. I dont think that Iruma can keep living in the Netherworld as a human, he could potentially become a demon but as things are now there isn't really a good way forwards that won't cause more complications down the line

How food actually works: foods contain carbs, proteins, fats, sugars, vitamins, minerals, fiber and/or other nutrients. Your body needs and uses all of them but it would like to have a little of everything every day. If you ate pizza or fried chicken for lunch then that’s probably your fat and protein for the day with extra that your body will make use of in time, so it’s a good idea to make your next meal something different like that fruit salad or steamed veggies. You can have that fatty lunch every single day if you just maintain balance and stay active enough to actually use what you’re stocking up on because foods aren’t “good or bad;” they just either fit into the rest of your diet and lifestyle or they don’t.

also your body doesn’t necessarily work on a daily cycle, it’s not so neat as to understand linear time and how we choose to divide it. You don’t have to try and find perfect balance every single day, sometimes you will go three or four days eating less or eating more. Sometimes you will crave fats or salts or sugars or greens for a few days at a time before your body will decide it’s gathered enough resources in one particular department. The balance is achieved over time and in uneven tides, and that’s good and fine.

i love welcome to demon school iruma-kun so bad it's not even funny BUT NO ONE IK HAS WATCHED IT SO I FEEL LIKE IM GOING INSANE the fandom is practically dead too I can't find many good edits ESPECIALLY of iruazz aka my favourite ship most ship stuff is iruma and ameri and like I completely understand why people ship them but I have some very strong feelings about it aka I DONT LIKE THE SHIP I feel like it's kinda forced now I love ameri a lot she's so cool and strong and amazing but I don't like how her and iruma are practically cannon

I also didn't like how clara is canonically inlove with iruma at first but I actually ended up really loving them as both as besties and lovers after watching more and seeing their dynamic BUT ONLY IF AZZ IS INVOLVED I mean theyre literally the love trio BUT I STILL JUST CANT GET OVER HOW AMERI LIKES IMURA like I love them as friends and reading buddies their good for eachother in the way that ameri helped iruma discover his ambition and iruma helps ameri relax and take a break from her duties while cheering her along with the rest of the student council so I really do love them as friends BUT I JUST CANT GET OVER THEM BEING BASICALLY CANNON like to me it just feels forced in a way

With Clara she simply just wanted to play with some and have real friends which she seems to have struggled with majority of her life, so when she met iruma and he talked to she it makes sense she got excited and wanted to play and have fun it's clear she's like that from the very start and because iruma genuinely did have fun he showed her true kindness and didn't want anything in exchange like all the other demons using clara, so they naturally just became friends

But ameri? She's shown to be a demon full of pride, responsibility, and ambition, she clocks smthn is off with iruma and wants to investigate, and now I do think the whole she being into manga is cute like it's fun that such a respected demon enjoys such a simple thing so much, she bumps into iruma and gets reminded of the scenes she saw, she realises iruma can read the 'forbidden texts' and gets excited and practically forces the guy to read them for her, they were simply reading buddies she was always second to azz and clara yet has wild ideas about her relationship with iruma

And yes they do become closer because of the reading sessions and other events but I wish they were simply just friends, like to me I much prefer the idea of ameri and iruma both in a way obsessing over this manga together and working towards their ambitions as friends rather then lovers

Like azz and clara always have irumas back, all three of them love eachother so much, azz obsesses over iruma (and in a way clara too), they're so close to eachother and want to see eachother succeed, they're the precious love trio, always together, always supporting eachother no matter what, always loving eachother, thinking about eachother, being cute together, and every time this happens it feels so natural like it was meant to be

But with ameri to me it feels like no more then a coincidence, no more then a friendship that bloomed in an unexpected and low-key scandalous way (I mean, it did start with ameris suspicion about iruma and the forbidden texts) that was forced into smthn more

I love ameri and iruma so much as friends and I love the love trio as bestfriends and lovers, and I especially love iruazz as lovers

Idk how I didn't clock this before SO THANK YOU CUZ ITS STARTING TO MAKE MORE SENSE TO ME but unfortunately for everyone else i feel the need to rant again and just write out my thoughts, I will only be talking about the anime tho since I haven't gotten past where the anime ends in the manga yet, I'm currently on day one of the harvest festival but I can't wait to see what happens after where s4 ended !!!

a lot of the time where we see ameri is when she's thinking about iruma, obsessing over iruma, going out of her way to find and look at iruma, and admiring his accomplishments from a distance

But we rarely see iruma doing the same for ameri, we don't really see those smaller moments between unless it's from ameris side (like them texting but that honestly doesn't really count imo cuz it's mostly just about their reading sessions or that they've been busy which doesn't add that much to their relationship)

they have had some slightly smaller moments, like when ameri gave iruma the confidence to chase after ambition, I loved that scene because it showed how admirable ameri truly is and how inspirational she can be, I also love how iruma started to admire her even more after she encouraged him to chase after ambition instead of relying on ideals. I like how the reading sessions showed a bit of ameri as just ameri instead of the president of the student council, and I like how the reading sessions and her going to iruma before the duelection showed how she's truly comfortable being just ameri Infront of iruma and I love how iruma used ameris own words to motivate her, but to me those scenes say more about ameri and how amazing and passionate she truly is (both president ameri and just ameri) and less of how their relationship bloomed into potential lovers

Ameri helped iruma start to grow, and iruma reminded ameri to not succumb to ideal and continue chasing her ambition when she needed it, but overall they don't grow together, they don't show those smaller precious and intimate moments, they see eachother occasionally while growing separately which makes every big moment and every moment iruma seems to start liking ameri as more than just a friend feel forced

Its clear that ameri is a great president and truly amazing upper classmen, but its not entirely clear how their relationship went from a mere coincidence and a shared interest into possibly probably romantic and full of love

But the love trio does show that (maybe not explicitly romantic love BUT STILL), and they have from the beginning, we see how the love trio meet, how they interact with eachother on a daily basis, we see how they grow together and how much they would do for eachother, we see those smaller moments that aren't necessary for the plot, we see them having so much fun together without it being overshadowed by obsession

I know azz is a lot more obsessed with iruma then ameri is but his obsession and love doesn't overshadow their relationship and we clearly see both azz and iruma admiring eachother and showing their love for one another in a way that just makes sense (same with clara ofc but honesty I think her obsession is either same level as ameri if not less intense atleast from what we see), but with irumeri ameris love/obsession seems to overshadow their relationship, yes we see them admiring eachother but to me the admiration makes more sense as a lower classman looking up to their upper classman and the upper classman recognising the amazing growth of the lower classman

I love how we see the small seemingly insignificant moments between the love trio, both together and separate

And I hate how despite rarely seeing these moments between irumeri the anime and manga are so determined to make it so that irumas admiration for ameri is actually romantic love

There are so many small moments between the love trio that show how much they love eachother, like after walter park where they sleep at clara's and she rests their heads on her lap to help them fall asleep (and I can't forget to mention the picture book or whatever the hell it's called that claras mum is making to immortalise how clara is growing up, I absolutely love that scene where u can see her start a page to showcase the love trio, the picture of them all sleeping together all cuddled up is adorable), during irumas evil cycle azz and clara fully supported and admired iruma (the way azz was so flustered and excited after iruma let him hold his bag on the way to school and then called him alice was so cute, and the way he had clara sit on his lap was adorable) and then after irumas evil cycle the way azz and clara clung onto iruma was just adorable too, I also love how clara called the 3 of them the love trio and put her jealousy aside so iruma and azz could hang out one on one after seeing how upset and off azz was acting

And thats just some of my favourite moments that show how much depth and love the love trio truly has, both the anime and manga beautifully show how close the trio truly is and how much azz and clara pride themselves in being irumas soulmates (or bestfriends, ik the official translation is bestfriends but soulmates makes so much more sense and I mean that both platonically and romantically)

But we really don't see any of that with irumeri, and i now I understand why the love trio just feels so natural while irumeri feels so forced, especially since from what we've seen it's clear with iruma that he doesn't simply fall in love after seeing how beautiful or strong someone is, he falls in love platonically by sharing these small moments and getting to know people (or demons) for who they truly are so it only makes sense that he falls in love romantically the same way yet we don't see that with irumeri, when it comes to iruma we mostly just see the respect and admiration he has for his upper classman as both a person and president

We honestly see more bonding and smaller moments between iruma and his classmates but almost nothing like that from his literal love interest, honestly atp it would make more sense to ship him with literally anyone from the misfit class then with ameri TwT

SO SORRY FOR THE MASSIVE RANT I GENUINELY COULDN'T STOP MYSELF not having anyone to talk to about this breaks my heart so instead I have to pour my thoughts down the tumblr drain before I explode

just wanted to add smthn rq cuz I'm re reading my rant and realised ameris and irumas ambitions compliment eachother in a ameri being a role model way while iruma and azz's ambition are linked, iruma wants to grow, succeed, and protect his ideals (which heavily include azz and clara) while azz's ambition is to see iruma grow and succeed while protecting him

I'm honestly not even sure what claras ambition is like ik she wants to have fun and make iruma fall horns over heels for her but like is that her ambition or an ideal ?? I'm honestly not sure I'm just now realising that I don't think claras ambition is real talked about she's mostly just a free spirit ? if I'm completely wrong lmk cuz I'm actually a bit confused and the fact I'm tired isn't helping

I've spent so long on these rants that I feel like just talking out my ass these schupid little demons and their human friend have been taking over my mind since I started watching the anime so basically it's the thing I've been almost constantly thinking about for the past week save me

Like azz and clara always have irumas back, all three of them love eachother so much, azz obsesses over iruma (and in a way clara too), they're so close to eachother and want to see eachother succeed, they're the precious love trio, always together, always supporting eachother no matter what, always loving eachother, thinking about eachother, being cute together, and every time this happens it feels so natural like it was meant to be

But with ameri to me it feels like no more then a coincidence, no more then a friendship that bloomed in an unexpected and low-key scandalous way (I mean, it did start with ameris suspicion about iruma and the forbidden texts) that was forced into smthn more

I love ameri and iruma so much as friends and I love the love trio as bestfriends and lovers, and I especially love iruazz as lovers

Idk if I even make any sense I'm just ranting please don't flame and and lmk if u agree cuz ain't no way I'm the only one that feels like this..

Like one i don't think it would work that well since (atleast from what I've been seeing in the anime) ameri clara and azz don't really interact I just can't really seem to see how it would work right

Like in a way yes clara and ameri have girls hangouts with keroli and eliza and ameri and azz can both obsess other iruma together

But then also to me the girl hangouts work because it's not JUST clara and ameri, and the obsessing over iruma together could work but I fear they're too jealous (I mean all 3 of them are but it just works with clara and azz and they have an actual friendship)

Idk honestly to me ameri and iruma just being friends makes more sense while love trio can be the lovers they've practically already been

but idk we will see if anything changes once I finish reading the manga
